Ying Dai Hotel

The location was very central, so we could walk around and see many places that way. There was a refill water station in the room, which was great. The view was nice as well.

The breakfast was basically the same both days: hard boiled eggs, fried items (such as chicken nuggets, or spring rolls), pan fried greens, and toast. The bathroom was a bit short, for example, it had a bathtub and a shower-head, but one could not stand up on the bathtub to take a shower, rather one were forced to take a bath or kneel while taking a shower.

Location very central. It’s more like a hotel for business travellers so more basic but meet your basic travel needs. Comfortable, fantastic to have water station right in the room. Great to have private, gated parking lot on site - you can pull up in front of building to check in and then move your car to the parking lot (if the gate is closed). Staff was friendly and helpful. Great breakfast options, but some more variations from day to day would be nice (stayed 3 nights). But we were never left hungry.

Could use more hooks in bathroom and hangers.

I like the location, the water fountain in the room, the helpfulness of the staff, and the good breakfast.

Lack of space to spread out a suitcase.

Good simple breakfast. Location is near to bus station. Bath room is clean and I like the bath tub.

The staff are friendly and are available 24/7.The room is big, clean, confortable and very nice. The air conditioner works perfectly, it has a sink with drinkable water and a mini freezer. The bathroom is clean and big enough, I liked it a lot.

The only thing I didn’t like is that the card to enter the room is the same to power up the electricity, so the freezer will shut down, also no electronic device could be left changing while you are out the room. But this is not a major issue really, at least for me.

Location is good due to its proximity to Chhiah

The hotel shows its age from the moment you step inside. The bedding is visibly aging, with tired linens and sagging pillows that offer little comfort. In the bathroom, space is extremely tight, and there's no curtain for the shower, causing water to splash onto the floor every time it's used. Perhaps most disappointing is the breakfast: a barebones spread of low-quality items served with indifferent service. The stewed meat smelled spoiled. The lady working at the breakfast service was extremely rude. When I went to get food for the second time, I took a new plate for hygiene reasons, but she came over very aggressively and insisted I continue using the old one. It was unhygienic and really affected my mood for the rest of the day.

The room was very big and nice and came with snacks and drinks, great value for the price. The AC also worked amazingly which is pretty rare I feel. The free breakfast was also very good and the staff was very helpful when I asked about ingredients due to allergies. They speak a little English too which was nice!

A bit far from major tourist attractions

Room was big. I'm a solotraveller and i could finally reorganise my backpack without problems due to lack of space.

Breakfast. I'm a EU-citizen and simply not a big fan of Taiwanese hotelbreakfasts. But I saw fellow-travelers eat there with more 'gusto'.

Simple breakfast to charge you before kicking start the day. The hotel provides bicycle service with no charge.

Great place to stay if you are traveling by car as there is a spacious parking place next to the hotel. Clean, comfortable rooms which were really well equipped - water fountain, slippers, etc. There were many food options for breakfast - both taiwanese & western style.

Clean and comfortable. Decent buffet breakfast. Located within walking distance of both the train station and tourist sites of interest.

Homy. Had good night sleep. Accessible to two u-bike stations.

Food selection is good but can be better.

Great location, walking distance to Chican tower and Great Mazu temple. The hotel itself is not very new, however owners are reinvesting money, so despite some older items rooms are nice, clean and quite, with new items and comfy bed. There is even a water dispenser machine inside the room. Breakfast is at top floor, mostly asian choices. Hotel pesonnel are very kind. They also have a large parking lot, just on the opposite side of street which great in such a busy city.

I do not really like the usual traditional taiwanese bathroom layout, where nothing sperates the the shower area from toilet and basin, so water is all over the floor. Despite they have a large, closed parking lot, which seems safe, someone broke the mirror of my car. This is not the hotel's fault, I think is was caused by another guests who cannot drive/park and hit my miror when parking in reverse :(

Free car parking, clean room, no smell, fast check-in

In the morning cleaning personnel were extremely loud in the corridor. I had no power to get up and ask them to be quiet.

A very nice hotel near the center of Tainan - there was everything we needed - we felt really comfortable plus the breakfast was absolutely unique - we DO recommend this place to everybody!

The staff was super helpful, especially with helping us navigate our plans. The rain put a damper on our plans but the staff was quick to make phone calls for us and give alternative suggestions. The breakfast was local local, but tasty, so if you are looking for a western style breakfast, this is not the place. The use of the bikes were a plus, explored the town with ease, even in the rain.

Bathroom door area before entering, there’s a step at front of it, I trip and fell after a midnight toilet… Currently my left ribs is hurt and painful, unable to sleep well during the rest of my trip…

Handheld shower in bathroom - had to hold shower head as one washed which made things difficult and whole bathroom got wet
