Catba Cannon Fort Hotel & Spa

I just loved everything about this hotel - the decor, facilities, great staff, amazing bed.

The bed was comfy, the room was extremely clean, it had big windows so it was light, there was temperature control, the water was always hot, it was quiet (our room was on the back of the building facing the cliff sides)… it was very pleasant. And even better was the owners, who were super helpful with questions about things like transportation, also really interesting to talk to and made us feel like valued guests all the time.

The staff were so lovely, the view from the room was great and the room had some comfy chairs to sit in and enjoy.

Great location, spotless room, and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful — they even arranged some really great tours for us.

Amazing! The host was so sweet, he invited us to the terrace on the top of the hotel to have dinner with his family and friend (dinner was DELICIOUS and the vibe was super fun), he also took care of everything for us - motorbike, transportation, storage of bags during the boat cruise - the room is big and clean, the bed is very comfortable (one of the most comfortable we had in Vietnam for 2 weeks), the location is great, in brief, there's everything you need and I recommend this place greatly!

Lovely staff, super helpful, very affordable room, comfortable and all you need. Location is great, near some nice bars. Opposite street is bike rental and some shops.

Not so clean (bed was clean and fresh which is most important), but the rest could be a bit improved

The hotel manager was super friendly and cared a lot. He organized a very nice trip to Lan-Ha Bay for us with pick-up directly at the hotel. Also he gave us a really good working motorbike for fair money (100k ₫/ day). We had no problem to continue to our next destination since he booked us a bus, again with pick-up at the hotel. On top we could get our laundry done.The room had the best bed in Việt Nam so far, a hot shower with enough pressure and it was quiet at night (we had a room facing the mountains). Notice: Cắt Bà island still faces the effects of the big Taifun last autumn. The rebuilding of the roof terrace was close to finish when we were there, and we could relax on it already.

The included breakfast was... underwhelming. Never in my life had I drank such weak, watery coffee.But there are a lot of good breakfast options up and down the street, so that was no deal-breaker.

The staff is very friendly and can help with a lot, next to this the location is great.

The rooms are somewhat small, especially the bathroom.

The bed was perfect, the room as well. Very clean. The staff very friendly and able to help. Good breakfast. I could do my laundry and rent a motorbike. Very good location.

They don't have heater in winter, but they offer me an extra blanket and it was okey.

We were struggling to find a hotel in the town, then we chose this. Perfect location, clean room, helpful staff with very good tours.

We chose this time to Catba town and that'amazed us. There was not so much tourists and the weather was perfect.

1)The location is really nice, you can walk anywhere. 2)The bed was truly amazing. Big, comfy, double double king size haha, without a gap and nice white bedsheets (didn’t notice any stains or hair).3)Water pressure is surprisingly great and you just have to wait for a couple of mins for the hot water.4)The guy at the reception is nice, helpful. Well, you gotta ask if you need any information. He helped us with the bike, changed it and even took the gasoline out of the old one and poured into the new bike.5)The AC is working perfectly fine.

1)Couldn’t close the windows (noisy outside) and couldn’t close the bathroom door. 2)Saw some small ants.3)The first bike we got offered was really bad (the brakes didn't work, it made awful noises, it wouldn't start so you gotta try like 2-4 times), it isn’t worth 100k per day (luckily we got another one without any questions).4)The breakfast was really bad. First day they offered some instant noodles with BLUE eggs, I guess they got colored cause they were mixed with some cabbage. Tasted bad, plain, not even salty. We saw some juice, with tasted bad as well, more like watery.

The room was great. However there were many ants and the hairdryer did not work. Initially our hot water did not work but the man was quick to fix this.

The breakfast was very poor. Nothing like the photos. There was a choice of egg egg egg or egg, certainly no buffet. When I asked for juice on the first day (the jugs were empty), I was told they don’t do that. The next day, instead of providing juice, they just removed the jugs. The portion of ‘fruit’ was one orange between us. Very disappointed considering we booked this hotel based on the breakfast being ‘good’ according to fake reviews. On booking.com, it stated we could pay cash or card (another reason we booked this hotel) but when we went to check out, we could pay cash only which is greatly inconvenient. We also booked a ‘mountain view’, and although we were on the top floor, all we could see is the car park. I would suggest they change the description of this room.

Location was good, wifi good.

Property needs renovation, they haven’t cleaned the room during our stay. The shower was right next to the toilet so everything gets wet.

Nice hotel, comfortable room and the friendly staff. Good with reasonable price. Highly recommend.
