Awesome location away from town but still a short walk to bars and restaurants. Close to beaches and rock trail. Wonderful, helpful staff. Great experience!

Room was very comfy, food was delicious.

The construction noise is a bit loud.

We had such a wonderful time here as casual diners that we came back the following day to stay in one of their bungalows

We loved the location of this property and the bungalow we booked. It was comfortable, staff was friendly and attentive, and the perfect short distance to town. Everything was clean and up to date which was nice and the free breakfast included was excellent!

We loved the property itself but the construction going on nearby at all hours was terrible. It goes on all day and truly all night; the first night we only got 3 hours of sleep because of it. We bought ear plugs and used white noise machines for the second night which helped, but be aware that if you’re a light sleeper this will not be a good hotel for you. We were told construction will be ongoing for a while unfortunately. Otherwise, it was a great spot.

The property was at once a tropical Oasis with wonderful staff and facilities.

The building is a bit out of the crowd with a nice view . Unfortunately the construction is still going on both sides but from the Pont you can have a fascinating view. The room was comfortable, i slept quite well, had a locker below the bed, and the showers were outside. Breakfast was a buffet that had delicious food.

The Hotel and location were good.

However there was a construction work everywhere, and they also work in the night. It was very noisy.

Location was good, not far of a walk to the town.

However there is construction going on so there isn’t much of a view, the workers were banging very loudly at 3am. The family suit we got wasn’t very private. Anyone could walk by our patio, including locals who had come to the restaurant to eat. They were very noisy right next to our room with kids running past our room screaming at 10:30pm as well as they brought their own speaker. When we told the front desk not much was done about it. We also felt we were ignored by the staff.

The hotel was in a spectacular location but unfortunately is surrounded by a huge construction site which made sleeping very difficult. I feel they should have told us about the works so we could have decided if to go ahead with the reservation

Although there is construction work going on all around the island it did not effect our stay just a short walk up a hill is a lovely beach ..all staff very accommodating , helpful & friendly

Construction which is being done which is across the whole city centre and will be for the next 3-5 years. Massive project

Beautiful location with a great view. Even with lots of redevelopment going on, the view was lovely. Staff are also very friendly.

The shower was terrible and unfortunately the breakfast was not only underwhelming but the food quality was quite poor.

The only positive thing about our stay was that the staff made some efforts to help mitigate the litany of issues we faced.

This property is completely mis-advertised. I would go so far as to say it is ‘bait and switch’ tactics. The photos and description could never prepare you for the horror which awaits anyone unfortunate enough to book to stay here. The hotel now bears no resemblance to the photos. The entire Cat Ba bay has been filled in with soil and concrete to construct a horrifying mega-resort and shopping centre. The hotel is now completely surrounded by noisy building site 24 hours per day. We were unable to sleep at all during our stay due to them operating a pneumatic hammer breaking up concrete 20 metres from our room which took place all night. The room we were initially offered was mouldy and in poor repair. The second room we were given was cleaner, but had a broken window, holes in the walls, a water heater which provided around 3 minutes of hot shower, cigarette smoke entering the room from the restaurant below through the holes in the wall of the bathroom. I have never experienced a stay at a hotel as awful as this. At the bare minimum I expect to be able to sleep but we could not even do that. On our last night (of 4) we’re were offered a room further from the construction which was quieter and afforded a slightly better chance to sleep but still noisy throughout the evening.

Room was nice, clean, and fully equipped. The manager received us extremely nicely, and helped us with tours and all information about Cat Ba island. Breakfast was large spread, and food was good too. It is a beach facing property located a few meters walking distance from the Cat Ba main market, so you get the quiet part of the town with a view. The beach view is obstructed by construction all over the place but it is not in control of the property. Cat Co 3 beach is gorgeous and is stone throw's away.

Probably the only place in Cat Ba town where you get a view of the sea. The room was large, clean and comfortable . Breakfast was good and had a fair amount of western style breakfast options. Wi-fi was fast and reliable.

It's very unfortunate this hotel is being affected by a massive construction project going on in town. It's not the hotel's fault but be aware construction noise is occurring day and night. I suspect other hotels in town are also affected by the noise.

The bungalows are now next to.a MASSIVE resort development which is running 24/7 and using very large and small.noisy equipment. Solid being dumped and bulldozed below the bungalows on top of the sand. This is going to go on for a long time. Staff upgraded us to try and minimise impact.... but pretty impossible task
