Catba View Hotel

The hotel staff was very helpful and helped us book a taxi to the airport!

Great location, staff was super nice, breakfast was delicious, room was clean and cleaned every day.

For the love of God do not use their laundry service. 4 shirts of mine got bleach spots on them and are basically ruined, and this is the start of my long trip. There's a laundry place right up the street, take your clothes there.

Comfy, clean and well-appointed room with a wonderful little balcony to enjoy the cool breeze. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast spread was pretty decent.

The seating in the cafeteria is a bit jammed in -- slight space constraints there. But staff do a good job getting tables ready quickly. No real complaints though -- enjoyed the 2 days of stay!

CatBa View Hotel is a small, boutique hotel on Cat Ba Island. Nam, who runs the hotel, was exceptional, extremely helpful, pleasant, and always willing to answer questions. He assisted with organizing tours, arranged a pickup from the airport and coordinated our drop-off in Hanoi, making everything completely stress-free.Breakfast was excellent, with a large variety of both Asian and Western options. Everything was well prepared, and the coffee was nice and strong much appreciated in the mornings.The rooms were comfortable, and the hotel’s location is ideal: just a short walk up the hill from the center of town. The walk is easy and enjoyable, and it’s nice to be slightly removed from the busiest areas while still being very close to everything.

The host , the breakfast, the service, that it was really clean.

Staff was very lovely. Room was modern and nice.

The isolation was pretty bad and we could hear nearby construction noise every morning :( I hope constructions finish soon!

10 out of 10 - Wow top notch service from Kien and Nam. They welcome us with cool towels and drink. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and nice for a family of 6. On top of everything, communication is top notch. They went beyond our expectation. Breakfast buffet is delicious with variety of options to please everyone. They arranged all transportations for us including all the way from Hà Nội to Cát Bà to Cat Bì Airport to Huê and to Danang. Drivers are very tentative and safe. This allows us to enjoy our exploration of Việt Nam and lessen our worries. If you need anything, please don’t hesitate to ask & they will recommendation. They are so friendly. They deserve bonus stars This hotel & hosts. I would highly recommend this place.

The staff at this hotel are incredible. They went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, to help me when I got a bit lost the day I arrived, and to make sure I had everything I needed. They asked me how my days were, what I had planned, and gave me suggestions on fun things to do during my stay. Breakfast was delicious and varied between western-style food and Vietnamese food. If I come to Cat Ba again, I will 100% stay here. I was sad to leave!

Accommodation is in very quiet location- away from all the building works at the water front. Close to restaurants. Great breakfast supplied, staff SUPER helpful organising our transport, tours, laundry. Highly recommend and would definately go back there again.

Simple but fine :-)

Location was perfect. Quiet street. Receptionist went above and beyond to help with anything needed, and was so kind. The rooms were immaculately clean. We had a view of the mountain behind the room. This was our best stay out of anywhere we stayed in Vietnam.

The hotel is very simple with photos matching the reality. We stayed two days in the hotel, mainly having breakfast and going out for the day to explore the area and for the boat trips. Breakfast is small but has pancakes, boiled eggs, fresh fruits, veggies and... of course, amazing Vietnamese coffee. The hotel staff was friendly as well. It is within the walking distance to Cat Ba centre but also away from noise and major construction taking place in the centre.

We booked two rooms and the triple room with balcony on 7th floor had very old balcony furniture (maybe new but rusty from the humidity and the sea salt?)

Super friendly and helpful proprietor. Location is on a quiet street but still close to everything you need.

Very, very clean. Very variable breakfast (Vietnamese and European and American). Quiet. Courtesy top! Fresh water at any time. On our arrival we were very late and short on time to book a day tour on a boat, but with the management‘s flexibility and care we hopped on a very nice one easily!

The staff was great and the place was clean and quiet plus close to town restaurants etc. We were greeted with a cold towel and were able to check in early. The breakfast was also very good. 10/10 satisfaction.

Nam and the team here at Cat Ba View are so lovely. We were greeted with cold towels and a drink on check in. They made sure we were always comfortable. The breakfast spread was very generous and lots of options. Nam even took care of our bags as we had a bus at 5pm past check out. Thank you so much!

A very short walk into town so very convenient and quieter. Our top floor unit with large deck was backed up against the mountain with views over town. Staff was excellent. Breakfast fine (Pho was very good) but a bit limited. Nothing to do with this hotel, but be aware that the whole beachfront in town is being torn up and developed.

Where to start! We arrived and were quickly greeted with a nice drink and the check in was seamless! The room was clean organized and stocked with essentials like toothbrushes and toothpaste! The beds OMG sooo comfortable and not Vietnam comfortable these were amazing! The water pressure was amazing, the view was great!! Location of this hotel is quiet yet close to everything and super central!! The morning buffet breakfast was over the top! Way more choices than most and the service at breakfast was amazing! I cannot say enough about this hotel and ALL the staff!! Nam the owner/manager was a delight! Nam was so kindhearted that I was filled with tears when we left from his kindness! My husband left his phone on the bus before we boarded the ferry to come to Catba and Nam worked his butt off to make sure we got the phone! The bus was not quick at returning the phone so Nam turned into super man and somehow (we still don’t know how) Nam arranged for our phone to be picked up from bus company and Nam hired a grab bike to deliver my husbands phone to us on the side of the highway while we were traveling on the bus!!!! Because of the language barrier we had no idea this was actually going to happen but it seemed like everyone including our 2 busses and ferry guys all were in on Nams master plan to have the cell phone returned!! We were so shocked when the bus pulled over and the bike driver yelled “cell phone”!! The whole bus was excited and thrilled for us! 3 days after loosing our phone we magically get it back all thanks to Nam our hero!!! I would 100% stay here for the hospitality, cleanliness, location and eagerness of staff to want to make your holiday perfect! Thankyou again to everyone at the Catba View Hotel!!

In a quieter part of Cat Ba town but close enough to the restaurants and markets. Big room, clean and well maintained. Staff very accommodating.

Good room. Big breakfast. Spotlessly clean. Great value for money. Very helpful staff. They arranged pick ups and tours. They make your stay just so easy.
