Rustic house

The room was so spacious and airy. The decor was excellent. We immediately felt so comfortable and relaxed.The staff spoke little English but were very professional and helpful. They arranged for our tour catered to our groups need and our next day bus to Nin bihn even before arriving at the hotel. Everything was made hassle free and convenient.The even made sure we got into the right bus and prepared the sweetest apricot ice tea to drink on our bus. Thank you rustic house.

The bathroom shower door didn’t close. But nothing to effect the rating of the hotel.

We were more than satisfied with our stay at Rustic House.The staff is kind and went above and beyond to help us with anything. You can tell they are thinking about the little details, which makes this hotel so special.The room and bathroom are spacious and clean and the food is great! The location is perfect, a few minutes walk from the center and next to the serene Tung Thu beach.Highly recommend :)

The room was nice, host was very helpful. She helped us book transport from hanoi and to sapa, and when the travel company cancelled bus to sapa, she helped arrange alternate transport as well. She also helped with motorbike rentals and booking a cruise for lan ha bay. There is a small cafe in the hotel and the food/coffee was decent. We also appreciated the handwritten note and farewell drink after checkout.

Location was an easy 5 minute walk to plenty of restaurants, cafes and the market.

Initially staff were cold no smile. Upon entering the room, room was dusty. Felt more like a hostel. Lots of dirt and dust under the beds. Shower area had mold on the edges of floor and door. Shower door not properly working. Not the easiest stay with two toddlers. Met owners and they were very nice as well as one of the other front staff.

Very comfortable beds. Great facilities. Lovley cafe downstairs and beautiful hosts. Would highly recommend this accommodation.

Great location (especially with the ongoing construction in other parts of the town), excellent coffee and breakfast, spacious new rooms, comfortable beds, amazing attentive young owners that help you with every aspect of your visit. Next to great restaurants.

Nothing with the hotel. Cat Ba town is a construction site.

Everything was perfect ( clean, good amenities and nice location) and the hotel have a family vibe wich we loved me and my husband. We also took breakfast 2 times in their coffee and it was delicious, especially the egg Sandwich and Coconut Coffee.A big plus was that they took care of our Bus trips for us with a very good buses and also the Lan ha bay Cruise they bookes for us which turned out to be Excellent.

Property was very comfortable, location great, staff excellent, cafe convenient and rooftop terrace with a view a big bonus

Cozy and comfortable well-maintained rooms, just like the photos. You can have great breakfast with delicious coffee in their coffee shop downstairs.The owners are warm and welcoming, and started communication via WhatsApp even before we arrived. They helped me book transfers and tours effortlessly, making my trip smooth and stress-free. They accomodated my special requests, and everything was arranged perfectly.

Very peaceful hotel, after testing 4 vietnamese hotels this one is my favorite. It is exactly as shown on the pictures. It is clean and the bathroom is great as the shower is separated from the rest of the bathroom. The staff was also very nice.The food is great and the rooftop is very pleasant. From the hotel we can see the huge construction site but we're quite far from it so it's not a problem. The location is very nice.There are bikes that we can take for free to visit the town (but not the island as there are steep slopes). The bikes all have something malfunctioning but they are free so it's totally acceptable.

Our favourite little bonus of this place was the cafe downstairs, which served the most amazing drinks and was a lovely space to relax in. All of the staff, behind reception, in the cafe space, were also really friendly and very patient with our attempts to speak any Vietnamese ?

Great rooms with a nice view! We loved the location and the family running the hotel is super helpful and friendly. Would come back any time!

We were very pleased to stay here. Since it was difficult for us to get to the island due to Tet holiday, the hotel arranged our transportation to the island. The hotel has a cute cafe and nice skybar with good coffee and breakfast options. The hotel staff Nguyen and Anh were very friendly and helpful.

The only problem was the room we stayed in was damp. We opened the window as solution.
