Mercure Karawang

I like the hotel swift and smooth check in and check out. Travelling with family, we arrived 2 hrs early than the standard check in time, but were allowed to check in early. This very helpful since we are travelling with elderly and two children. The Aircon in the room also work very well, the fridge actually is working which is very good.

Accessibility, everything you wanted or needed was in or around the hotel, I paid for breakfast included and that also didn't disappoint, many choices from Western foods to more local foods. The staff, eventhough their English was a little lacking tried their best and were pretty friendly to us. I didn't make use of the laundry service as I had someone else around to help me out with this, but I was very glad to know it is a possibility, perhaps next time I can make use of it. There's two restaurants in the hotel, a Japanese one and one that just like breakfast offered a wide variety of foods. The food was very tasty and I would recommend it to many people around. Long story short, my general experience was great and you can definitely expect to see me again.

I think the room was rather small and I expected more to it, it said something like there was a minibar included but all I saw was a mini fridge which didn't even keep my drinks cold, I had 2 stays, first week from 30 sept - 4 Oct, the room was really clean, however from 7 Oct - 11 Oct we got a room where there were stains on the mirror and there were holes in one of the pillows.

Friendly and helpful staff. Close to where we needed to get to. Food places close by. Breakfast selection and quality was amazing.

Shower wasn't hot enough. Aircon was strong and hard to turn down. Only the fan strength could be adjusted, the temp dial didn't do anything. Shower had some mould marks but the hotel was in the midst of renovations.

I arrived at 9 pm. No warm water available in the bathroom, i feel cool. I didn't take a shower .

The Breakfast Buffet is outstanding!We ordered Room with Double bed but we got Room with single bed but they put it together.its really fine because the bed stayed and didnt move when we sleep in the middle.Cleanlinnes is Superb! The Receptionists are always helpfull and friendly as well with the Housekeeping staff that brought us pool towel in the morning.Taste of the food what we order from Room service was excellence.

The staff who answered my room service order was unfriendly,IT seems she was in hurry because of another guest.I was asking little bit more about the menu,because IT was Not written in the room service menu card,she was repeating my order with not so good Intonation,she was pushing me to finish the order as soon as possible.It would be nice If the Room service menu card explained well everything not only the name.We we're also dissapointed because the Kids Club doesn't exist any more.because we we're Travelling with Kid.The Tv remote need to change as soon as possible.Room #625So far everything was more than acceptable

I called the receptionist more than 3 times..asking them about my air con was not as cool as my other room..we had connecting room. They said they will send someone / engineering to my room..to checked.. But they never showed up. Kind dissapointed for me.

Location is useful to look for various food and shopping items.

Inside bathroom/shower/toilet, there exists some sort of flies and the cleaning people may not have paid attention. Could have been better if they take care of it though.

The journey of 2 hours to and from the airport to karawang and especially the driver drop us off at Terminal 3 instead of Terminal 2 and when ask him Airsia in Terminal 3? He replied yes. So we were like lost and have to ask around where to board Airasia and how to go there…this part make me annoyed as we were stuck in traffic for 2 hours and 15 mins and have to drag our luggage to go Terminal 2

The hotel location

The receptionist staff. First when I checked in, one of the staff served very slow to proceed, maybe still in trainee, I had to wait until 30 minutes to get room and didn't get exactly room which offered in Booking.com. Second, when I checked out the hotel, the receptionist refused (could be very lazy) to print the invoice although I explained that I pay the room at the property and the other receptionist served me while checked in said the invoice would available when I check out. I really disappointed with the service of the receptionist staff in Mercure Hotel Karawang. Not professional and disrespect the guest at all. I will never stay at this hotel again in the future.

Strategic location and nice view

There were cockroaches in the bathroom

My requests (for a room in high floor, non-smoking room, non smoking floor) were accomodated. The hot water running fine, the location is also very strategic (at the center of the city and close to malls/entertainment such as waterboom). Check in was also smooth. And the room is soundproof so i could rest well.

1. There was this one male staff whose speaking tone sounded like he was constantly annoyed with the customer (including me). I was not happy with his attitude toward me. Hope he could improve his service. 2. The room have very little lighting and the existing ones were dimmed that I couldn't see anything. It was like entering a movie theater, so dark that i need flashlight from my mobile phone to look around.3. The bidet's reach (in the seated toilet) was also very low so it was not convenient to use.

location is perfect in Karawang.

The breakfast needs to be improved for its menus. Fresh salad items should be monitored from the small flies.
