Good location

They changed the room and allocated a very small one. Very unprofessional staff.

Breakfast - good but no brewed/filter coffee. Instant coffee in Tamil Nadu?! Location - good.

If you go to bed early, do not take a room on the 4th floor. The restaurant was noisy till about 11 p.m. and then again early morning when the staff arrived.

Great hotel with a really nice view on Ooty lake, the food in the restaurant is really delicious, specially the chinese food. Room was clean and well equipped. Staffs very nice.

Breakfast spread had almost nothing in Continental food except bread toast and butter

When we booked the room they mentioned hotel will accept card payment but once we reached there they said they cant accept card payment. All the staff were very friendly and helpfull.

Location is fine but the rooms are narrow but the bathroom was quite good. Rooms had no table or chair even it was advised that the room is an executive one Clean and the staff was good enough. Breakfast was super.

Room was very narrow.Did not had a chair or table. No big wardrobes for accommodate the baggage’s toKeep. Have to sit on bed which was not a happy thing to do.The television had only one channel to watch ?

Room with balcony was really good and spacious. Location is perfect and all things are near by. Food is awesome

Saw insect in bathroom ..they can do some pest control activites

We liked the location of the hotel and breakfast buffet.

No wifi signal was available in our room, even after complaining for 2 straight days. The booking said our room had a landmark view but all the view we had was of next building. Also room heater was charged extra.

It was a very good view from the balcony, the room was clean and tidy and the room service was responsive. The breakfast buffet was good. Any time hot water was available.

Parking was a bit congested, and we needed to call security every time we need to park our vehicle. The restaurant on the 1st floor was not clean and waited long for the menu. The bathroom was not clean and exhaust fan sound was disturbing throughout the stay and the room window frame was uncleaned.

I stayed for 5 days and 4 nights from 11.4.23 to 15.4.23 in Premium room ( 7 k rent per night) ROOM NO 502 .Breakfast spread is very limited and repeatitive. Particularly no pongal. Only the Uppma was changing from rava uppma,TO semiya uppma to poha.Hot water facility --very good.Front Office managed by Mr. Mohan and his Bengali collegue --very good.Sub staff from North East---very good--Polite and well behaved.PLEASE CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING SUGGESTION AT LEAST FOR PREMIUM ROOMSWE WERE OLD COUPLE ABOVE 70 YEARS AND STAYED IN ROOM 502.NO BATHING STOOL IN BATH ROOM. THIS IS NECESSARY FOR OLDER PERSONS. ONE CAN BE PROVIDED. SITTING FACILITY IN THE ROOM IS VERY VERY POOR. THE DIWAN PROVIDED IS JUST A BENCH WITH CUSHION SEAT. NO BACK REST CUSHION. CANNOT SIT AND WATCH TV. WE SIT FOR LONG HOURS IN THE ROOM.PLEASE PROVIDE A 2 SEATER SOFA WITH OUT FAIL.THE BALCONY CHAIR IS NOT COMFORTABLE. THE BACK REST HAS NO CUSHIO.N IT IS IA KNITTED WIRE CHAIR WITH REXINE COVER.PLEASE PROVIDE SOME GOOD CHAIR.VIEW OF LAKE FROM ROOM 502 IS VERY POOR.ONLY THE ROOF OF THE BREAK FAST AREA IS VISIBLE. VERY DISAPPOINTING.OVERALL VALUE FOR MONEY IS POOR.RESTARUANT IS VERY SMALL , WAITING AND SERVING TAKES A VERY LONG TIME.IMPROVING PREMIUM ROOM SITTING FACILITY AND BATH ROOM STOOL WILL NOT COST MUCH.KINDLY DO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE POINTS.DEENADAYALAN/BANGALORE

Hotel Darshan is located bang opposite the Boat House of Ooty Lake, and 15 mins walking distance from the main market.The location is superb with great views from your Room/Sit out.The buffet breakfast had a fair variety of very delicious mixed cuisine. The food at the Hotel restaurant was very tasty and well cooked, with the Chef catering for personal requests in terms of less spice, etc.The manager, Mr Anupam was extremely helpful and made sure our stay was comfortable and requirements met. The housekeeping staff was very prompt in response.The Hotel also has tie-ups for local sight-seeing and cab drop to Airport.All in all, a fantastic stay experience :)

Only area of concern was that the Lift starts from the First floor only - so one has to climb a small flight of stairs from the parking, to the Reception and further to the Lift. This could be a problem for elderly/specially abled persons.

The food choice was not significant & one of us had a stomach upset which unfortunately we put down to one of the dishes of food.

i faced some problem with the service, water problem and was not resolve very soon. little disappointment after reaching but was good otherwise.

Disappointing

One of the Reception staff doesnt even know the details of our booking when we check in, i have already communicated payment details and other details thru booking.com, His tone was highly unprofessional. Food is over expensive. Only boat house is near apart from tht local markets are all far.
