Club Mahindra Derby Green, Ooty

Beautiful property nestled very close to the main town with awesome views of the ooty town. Great Breakfast spread, very good comfy rooms. Polite and helpful staff.

Dinner ala-carte Menu was pretty limited. High tea in the evening was chargeable which we found to be bit odd.

Pretty basic room. Very low ceiling with sloping sheet/clay tiles roof. Dirty floor. Poor Service - Had to call multiple times, still they didn't attend to. Everytime "sending sir". Nobody came. Patchy and very slow wifi. Porter mishandled my luggage, broke the bottle(fortunately, laptop was ok) inside and tried to hide the incident. No personal toiletries in bathroom. Its just big bottle dispensers for everything. No Soaps in the bathroom. No Air conditioner/fans.Had to follow up multiple times even for basic thing.Absolutely not worth the cost. Charge like a 5 star but service like 2 star.

The ambience was good as well as the accommodation.The view is good.

There needs to be back up entertainment in a communal area when weather is bad.

The property is maintained very well. Cleanliness and facilities like washroom at all places like restaurant and sitting areas is very good. Accessibility to the resort is easy and you have the whole market within a kilometer.

The only thing I did not like was the softness of the bed. Mattress was very soft and 2 adults and 1 kid when sleep on that bed then it tends to be uncomfortable when changing sides or getting up or getting back in the bed.

wifi was poor. no connectivity whatsoever. was barely useful for simple stuff like emails. was useless for any kind of streaming and entertainment.

Review of Club Mahindra Derby Green Ooty I had a wonderful stay at Club Mahindra Derby Green Ooty. Rooms: Spacious and well-maintained, with a creative sitting area featuring a sofa in front of the room. The rooms are clean and come equipped with a microwave. However, the TV size could be improved. Staff: Excellent service from Praveen, Damnic, and Justin. Their hospitality made the stay even more comfortable. Sightseeing Package: Purchased a sightseeing package from the resort, which included a Mahindra SUV with a driver-cum-guide, Shiva, who was very polite and supportive throughout the journey. Recreational Activities: Enjoyed outdoor games like archery and shooting, along with access to an indoor games zone and adventure games. Overall, a great experience with a perfect blend of comfort and adventure. Highly recommended for families and nature lovers!

Rooms were clean and basic like government quarters.

Location is very prime..Property is well maintained..Staffs are very good..Vegetarian kitchen is separate that is very good thin as I m jain.

Room rate are too much expensive as per the size and facilities in room.. room is too small.. and very congested.. for couple.

Buffet menu for dinner

The property is quite beautiful and the view from it to the valley is superb.The buffet breakfast was tasty and the especially the chef Mr. Jackson served relishing masala dosas . The room was good .The staff was courteous and polite.

The bathroom had no handshower and that was strange. There was some problem with the hot water in the roof shower and the presence of bucket in bathroom was funny .

The bathroom didn’t have the hand shower .Theavailable roof shower had problem with hot water. bucket was present in the bathroom which was a bit strange .Without the handshower ,the coziness of thebathroom was missing.

unfortunately two of our umbrellas were stolen by some crass guests, the management helped with replacing one of them but truly appalled at the behavior of the guest, such cheapskate

Breakfast was good

Rooms were not well maintained. We were alloted 2 rooms, however one room (3009) was allocated late inspite of late check in. 3009 was stinking and pathetic. We chose a resort so that our kids can engage in activities. We found all activities were chargeable and outdoor activity areas were not maintained properly.

The price is way to high for the property, very less amenities, average room, very average breakfast

Outdated rooms for the price

Surroundings, weather, location of the property.. paved paths...

The rooms initially allocated was not matching our booking.. and later given a different room which was down the reception and had to climb up all the time for everything. Eco- friendly and plastic free is an excellent thought then, you have to provide plates and cutlery each time when food is served. Careless attitude while taking orders for in-room dining.. cleaning not provided when needed.. every alternate day is good, but if people stay for 2 days then cleaning should be provided when needed.
