Savoy, Ooty - IHCL SeleQtions (A Taj InnerCircle Hotel)

Very nice resort, lots of activities to do for little kids. My 8 year old enjoyed riding the pony, riding the bikes, feeding the bunnies etc. My parents loved the place for its historical charm. Overall, a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

We went during the peak season - during Christmas/New Year’s, so the staff was overwhelmed and service was slow at multiple occasions. This was still unexpected, given the cost of the stay.

The hotel was amazing..everything was perfect ..the rooms were surrounded with beautiful flowers and plants and the staff were friendly and helpful..

The staff were amazing. We were travelling by train and they arranged a driver to collect us even having to change the station of collection on the day. (Anthony was a great driver given the trip to Ooty is full of hair pin bends, and he took us on our tour of Ooty the following day). Raj Kumar in the bar was very attentive and lovely to talk to of an evening. Also the bingo around the campfire at night was a nice touch and the member of staff who ran it was the perfect host. The hotel made our stay in Ooty very special

The hotel is fairly well looked after, and the on-board restaurant serves excellent food. Staff have done everything they can to help and assist. The WiFi signal was strong throughout. Hot water pressure was sufficient, and beds comfortable and clean.

Pretty much all rooms have no substantial windows (or no windows at all), and overall value for money, given the 30k price point, is extremely poor

The overall is positive the room was big enough and the garden is well maintained. It is located 2 km from the city but there is no pedestrian way

The breakfast cost is much too high and not proportional and there is no alternative

The location is very good. A beautiful heritage property, well maintained. Staff is very courteous, breakfast was a good spread.

Staff very excellent - from re option, house keeping to F&B they were very courteous and helpful, anything we raised was settled very efficiently & to our satisfaction

Amazing building, the pool was so inviting. The happy hour was delicious. All in all a very happy experience

We were there on New Year’s Eve and the dinner was over priced and they had no a la carte option as we did not wasn’t to opt their over priced dinner The room given to us had neighbors whose voices are heard

The rooms were very very small

Beautiful gardens, very evocative of the Colonial era. Lovely drinks served on the lawn and fire at night. All the staff were delightful.

The dining room had no windows but the food was delicious.

Good variety and tasty. Staff were very attentive and accommodating.

The location of the hotel is a just perfect . Being in the main city but away from the hustle and bustle . The property is beautiful. The staff were courteous and very helpful ( though they were definitely understaffed for the Diwali long weekend crowd) . Breakfast was sumptuous and had ample options.

We made a non-refundable booking providing our credit card. Checking out they charged us for the food, bar and the spa. Approximately 30 min after we had left they called our driver explaining that we have not paid for the room. I was shocked!!! I assumed they charged my credit card during booking. I asked the manager to bill my credit card which I provided with my non-refundable booking. Nothing worked via phone. So we returned to the hotel to make the payment. The whole procedure took more then one hour. I asked the manager since it was not our fault and we lost a lot of time to compensate at least the extra cost for the driver. When we arrived at our final destination it turned out that the extra cost for the additional trip back to the hotel was also on us ?

Our Stay at the Savoy was pleasant and comfortable. Since it is a heritage hotel, they cannot do a major upgrade .Lacks some creature comforts and plushness associated. Very avergae spa and gym.Rates are rather high for this kind of property without any breakfast.

very overpriced for the facilities offered and no breakfast included in a 42K INR per night room. I could have gotten better facilities for half the price in a 5 star hotel in Dubai or Singapore for these rates.

The view is beautiful. Greenery everywhere. . This id my 3rd time staying at the property. I have no complaints. I recommend this place to stay at ooty if u want a peaceful place

The half board package is truly remarkable. The food was delicious and there was a huge choice of dishes. No restrictions was wonderful and allowed a really indulgent stay. Service in the restaurant was next level. So much care over every detail.

It takes a long time to reach Ooty from anywhere. This is not the fault of the hotel but there is a long trip ahead of anyone even if you are starting out from relatively close by.

The ambience was tranquil with flowers and trees all around, best thing were the activities that we could do there , and indubitably the property was maintained really well which makes Savoy top notch and the stay a truly unique experience .
