    Pros +

    • Location near night market. Fairly quiet for being in Taiwan on a weekday. Not too much scooter noise. It's in an alley, but they have a sign on the street pointing to it. Makes it easier to find. 24 hour staff was good.
    • Room was clean and the hardwood felt clean. Free washer and dryer were available for use. A/C in room was cold.
    • My absolute favorite thing was the free laundry upstairs. It was also much cleaner, and the bed was much more comfortable than the beds at the other hotels I stayed at. Lastly, the location was great, being right next to one of my favorite night markets!

    Cons -

    • Staff didn't speak much English. Little hard to communicate with them. Other than that, staff were good.
    • Room had ants.
    • The pillows were a bit hard, and there were many steep stairs we had to walk up multiple times every day to reach our room. An elevator would've been nice.

    Location.

No elevator. Should be part of description when booking. Stair narrow. Run down area. Not nice.

The hotel is tucked away in a cool narrow lane past a temple. The English sign is difficult to spot if you are coming from the train station, but the coordinates are spot on. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, and at least one of them speaks excellent English. It's a superb room for backpackers. Old hotel, yes, but spotlessly clean and well maintained. Very comfortable bed, excellent lighting and excellent WiFi. Very nice and spacious bathroom with an excellent shower. Everything you need is supplied. There's a fridge and a water dispenser in the room, which even makes instant hot water...and there's coffee in the reception if you don't have your own. I have no idea why the Google reviews are so bad. Excellent location next to the night market, 7-eleven and the bus stops for all the places tourists want to go.

It was nothing I didn't like, but it would have been nice with a smoking area, because the streets are busy here.

    Good staff, perfect location !

very small room, according to price of 1700 NT per room, but during chinese new year its expected

Location close to night market. Room is quite small and a bit stuffy. It has a water dispenser in Room.

Stairs narrow and kind of hard to use. There was a smell of smoke drifting in and out of the room.

Central location close to the night market. Good Cleanliness.

    Damp room and noisy aircon.

    7JingPosted on: 9-24-2024

Cheap stay but basic amenities are met. Located pretty central to everything.

Might possibly be a love hotel, confirms were provided on the table. Cigarette stench in the room even though it was a non smoking hotel.

    Location

Very small room. No lift so struggled with bags and stairs.Small.paper cups and glasses. Too small to make coffeeWindow facing a wall.

Location was ideal, cross the street and you will reach the night market

Cleanliness of the property to be improved. The bed was rather too soft for my liking. Area of the stairs and the room was relatively cramp and not suitable if you are carrying huge luggage

    4MettaPosted on: 10-10-2023

The staff was nice but can’t speak English

There are cockroaches in the room and smell of cigarettes. This place doesn’t have elevator.

    8EricPosted on: 10-9-2023

    Near the night market

No elevator, we walk to the sixth floor by foot.

    10DylanPosted on: 10-1-2023

Really comfortable! Clean interior, friendly staff, great location, and cheap

It's an old building so the soundproofing isn't great

    10DanielPosted on: 9-29-2023

Great facilities for the price, kind and helpful staff and perfect location. Thanks!

    4GenePosted on: 7-21-2023

The proprietor / manager of the place is a lovely woman and a few young men who were kind and helpful. Lots of Christian / Bible materials in both the lobby and the room - it's not something I like or dislike, just find it interesting in Taiwan. The location is great as it's a block from the Night Market.

Immediately the room had a cigarette smell upon entrance. The rooms are of the windowless variety which makes them dank, musty, and overall unpleasant. This is the way the building is designed and I know it's similar to many local hotels. But it was jarring and uncomfortable for a westerner who just want a clean, smell-free hotel room.

    10ElisaPosted on: 4-25-2023

The position was really nice, very close to both the night market and the harbour. The staff was nice and helpful. The room was not very big, but the bed was comfortable, so overall it was perfect for our visit!

The hotel doesn't have an elevator, so it wasn't a problem for us specifically, because we only had backpacks, but of you have big luggages or a wheelchair you need to consider it.Our bathroom didn't have a separate area for the shower, so the whole floor tends to get wet.

The owner was lovely and explained everything we needed to know (in English). The location is good; 10 minutes walk from the train station, and right next to the night market. The owner offers free use of their washing machine (which is really kind). The room has a water dispenser in it.

The room is really small; however it contains everything you need.
