Conveniently situated about five minutes walk from one of the island's ferry piers. Near several small restaurants. Comfortable rooms and beds. Friendly and helpful hotel staff and dive coordinators - great assistance for a first-time diver. Clean. Tioman is a beautiful spot. Recommended, overall.

Wifi in room was unreliable to the point of being unusable. Staff were unable to fix it. It worked outside the room, but there were many mosquitoes happy to take advantage. Cigarette smoke everywhere - the inside of the room didn't smell, but it was inescapable outside of it. The hotel bar was the social center for the area, so it was generally pretty loud at night.

The location and accommodation were both good. It was a neat corner room, there were some ants but it was okay. I stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights and they cleaned the room on the second day. Restaurants and bars nearby, and an office deck in front are convenient.

However, taxis and motorcycles from the port to the resort are very expensive. Cataferries do not stay at ports close to the resort. So we paid 10 ringgit per person, but they didn't tell us in advance that we would get double the money for two types of transportation. Other than that everything was good.

Clean, comfortable and close to the water which was our main reason for being in the island.

Pillows! There was one in the room that was comfortable enough to sleep on but all the rest were too large and overstuffed - neck ache territory. This is literally my only complaint about the stay however so overall it was a fantastic experience.

Rooms were clean, cool and with great showers. Staff were friendly and we loved the quieter location on the island. Lots of food options around and only a short walk to the jetty, which is via a concrete path so not difficult even with bags. Even though we didn't dive we booked a snorkeling trip through the office which was excellent.

We loved our stay at the Resort. We went for just a mini vacation to relax and snorkel. The 7 minute walk down from the ferry dock is not difficult as it is similar to a sidewalk, so easy to pull a wheeled suitcase. Just walk to the end of the dock, turn left and it's on the main path. Well labelled and easy to find. The whole staff at Tioman Dive are so friendly, and when you went into your immaculate room with the air conditioning already on; it was just perfect. It's the little details that we love so much. Love the hammocks.The snorkel equipment to rent was the cheapest on the island and in the water directly in front of reception is an amazing reef. We saw a reef shark, lots of different kinds of coral and fishes. It was wonderful. The bar and surrounding restaurants had excellent food. We explored and walked down to the pizza place and it was fabulous. The staff even directed us towards another place when we inquired about kayak rentals at sunset. The wifi in the room was our only negative. The booking said there was Wi-Fi in the rooms but it's very spotty. Even our cellular service kept dropping. To have consistent connection you'd have to go down towards the lobby. Not ideal when you are responding to emails or have two teenagers in tow but we survived ;).

The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. It was also nice to have a few english channels on the TV e.g AXN, Hollywood. The location is good with beautiful coral reef nearby. This wasn't a problem for us but don't expect to have WIFI in the room.

The staff was very unpleasant. We didn't feel welcomed at all. If you are not a scuba diver I do NOT recommend you staying here. We are a couple with teenager daughters and were really looking forward to do some snorkelling (the reason we booked this place). At arrival, when we asked if they had snorkelling masks the answer was that their gear was all being used by the scuba divers so none available to us, we were very disappointed since this was the highlight of the trip. We ended up having to buy snorkelling masks etc from them at a very high price since there are no other shops nearby. We tried to not let this spoil our holidays but after a week of staying there and being ignored everyday (not even a good morning) by staff and managers it was hard not to let it affect us. We ended up having our meals and spending time playing cards etc at a close by restaurant ABC Chalet Tioman where the food was amazing and the family that owns it were very friendly and helpful.

The Room was really good. Comfortable in every possible way. Very spacious, great beds and amazing shower. Both aircon and fan working very well. Staff was very friendly. Well located (even considered the low season).

The Australian Dive instructor, she was quite rude.

We stayed here as we wanted to dive, and the dive instructors are excellent. The room is very comfortable. there is excellent snorkeling right in front of the hotel.

It’s a bit far from anything else to do on the island, and the beach is quite rocky so it’s a challenging place to just hang out. I wouldn’t recommend staying longer than two or three nights if you’re planning to do anything else besides dive. Be extra wary of sand flies at dusk. We were traveling with a five-year-old and I wouldn’t say this particular area is very kid friendly due to the beach conditions and the lack of a swimming pool.

I guess communication, was the main problem. Before arrival I was texting the hotel which also operates a scuba diving center, that I would like to do scuba. Since we didn’t know what days we will be there, I asked if I can also book some dives upon arrival. We get there and the lady at the reception tells me they are booked out for scuba, during our stay. So, as a guest of a dive hotel, I had no other option than to look for another dive center. Next thing, they had a Halloween party and buffet at the first night of our stay. We didn’t get any info about the party and definitely no invitation for that buffet. I asked the owner if we could join, and he told us that they sent an email to all the guests, which we definitely didn’t get! He continues to say it is not possible to join since we didn’t sign up for the buffet and to go eat somewhere else. After finding dinner, we could join them for drinks. This is the first hotel ever that had sent their own guests away, excluding them from an event specifically for hotel guests. Third thing, there’s no noise isolation in the rooms whatsoever. The Halloween party went up to 2am that night. People at the party were shouting without consideration to other guests. We could hear them all the way to our room even though we were towards the back of the property and on the second floor.Lastly, the reception has opening hours from 7am to 5pm, but from the three times we went, two times nobody was there

Some of the staff members werent very nice .. the beach is rocky but thats our fault we didnt do a proper research.. if you are after beaches I recommend the next beach Salang. More chilled vibes but it’s also more quiet and completely dead in off season.. B&J hotel is the only place that has a bar with alcohol.. overall all ok but we were disappointed with the beach

The initial guy at check-in was rather curt and didn't make us feel overly welcome....The safe didn't work so the guy said another would be delivered but never came.

Room is clean and beds are very comfortable. They provide very good cold and hot water outside of the room which is great before you head to your day. Air conditioner is very potent.

Perfect location, very clean and mega comfortable room, fantastic shower and mattress.... all was perfect!
