Koh mook garden beach resort

It was so calm and relaxing in the middle of the nature. Not far away from the village, we had such a great stay. The staff was so nice and welcoming. You can organise all your activities directly from the front desk. The breakfast buffet was well furnished with a lot of choices of Westerner and Asian food. Can only recommend this place.

At low tide, in the morning, the sea can be a bit further.

The resort is simple and not very luxurious, but it has everything you need for great holidays. The DADA family was great. They took care of us, and we felt at home. The pool is refreshing and big with some toys for the kids. There is also a Relax Zone with a lot of toys for kids that was also very convenient.Breakfast is a combination of local and western food with great views. The food from the restaurant was really tasty, we loved the massaman curry. The last day we were leaving early and they prepared take away sandwich for us :)

In general, we loved everything :) they could renew some of the board games that were old and in bad condition. To have into consideration: the beach in front of the resort is not the most beautiful in the island, low tide makes it rocky/muddy and in high tide we did not have any day of good visibility. We had a better time in Charley beach and at the beach at the tip of the island. The resort is a bit far from those beaches, but they will kindly help you have a taxi in front of the resort to take you there.

Friendly staff

The bungalow was dirty, with spiders on the walls and ceiling and with mold everywhere on the bathroom walls. The first night we had a kid blanket, covering only half of our bodies. The other nights we had a bigger blanket, but still with no cover on it.The worst part was the bathroom. The shower was not really working, making it impossible to properly wash yourself. It was always leaking, so the bathroom was any time of the day wet. Some tubes were also leaking. And the mirror was perfect if we were in a horror movie from the 60s, impossible to see yourself in it.And finally, the noise of the airco - when it was working - was making you feel like you were in the middle of a tropical storm.The room was also not equipped with everything that was mentioned on booking (e.g mosquito nest), the pictures on booking are not reflecting the reality. Hygienic measures should really be improved here

Location was out of town a bit, nice pool, and view

Rooms run down very shabby, bathrooms old,also we got food poisoning , as did 6 other people,very bad for the price we payed, nothing much else to say would never stay again

The grounds here are beautiful. The staff are so friendly and helpful and their language skills are brilliant. They organised our trip to emerald cave and it exceeded our expectations. Also helped with transfers and when my son was sick. Highly recommend

The location is stunning. The cabana I booked had a beautiful ocean view. It’s a little out of the main town, but that’s how you get the amazing view. 15 minute walk into town.Your right on the ocean, and depending on if the tide is high, there might be a little beach to walk on, or not. It should be known that this beach is not suitable for swimming, because of the tides and water depth. But it’s beautiful to look at. Also, there are kayaks on site that guests can use.The folks who ran the place were incredibly accommodating. They brought fresh amenities to my cabana daily. Each time I had a request, they did whatever they could to accommodate my needs. Also, everyone who worked there seemed to be very warm, kind and genuine. I stayed in the third bungalow (M3), which was far enough from the main pool area, that I didn’t get any of the noise from people at the pool. I was grateful for this. One of the first two bungalows may have been privy to the noise as they were closer.I booked my ferry out of Muk through the hotel, they were very helpful and actually got me a better price than I could secure on 12Go. The breakfast buffet is amazing! So much food and many, many options (even for vegetarian). My room included breakfast each day for $25/night total (room + breakfast)When I was bedridden from sun poisoning, the woman who runs the front messaged me to check on me. Very thoughtful.The starting point for the hike to Koh Muk Viewpoint and Sabai Beach is very close to the resort.

The cabana itself needed a few repairs. There were holes in the floor of the front porch when I arrived, which I viewed as a safety hazard. I asked the staff to repair the holes, and they did, but it took a few days for them to get around to it. Maybe because they had to call someone from the outside. I’m happy to say it’s fixed now, but maybe a little more attention to these kind of details would be good for future guests.WiFi doesn’t reach the third bungalow (M3). For me, it wasn’t a huge issue, I just went to the main restaurant area with my computer when I needed WiFi. It works well there. If you need WiFi in your room, don’t stay in M3.

I liked the Pool a lot and the Private beach, the staff was very helping and Kind. the breakfast Was very nice and also anything else i had at the Restaurant.

i could sleep very well because of the loud dogs and the light, that shined through my cabin walls

The price is very good since there’s a pool and an amazing restaurant at the resort. The staff is very friendly and helpful! The bungalow is simple but very nice and the view and closeness to the ocean is amazing!

The rooms are set in lovely peaceful gardens and the restaurant is right by the water. Lots of nature to see including Hornbills

Our room was very basic, which we kind of expected for the price, but it wasn't very clean. There were several big steps down to the bathroom which was a bit hazardous if you got up in the night! The pool and restaurant area were very tired looking. Location was great in as much as it was quiet and peaceful, but maybe just a little too far away from most of the restaurants. The beach was lovely to look at, but not too rocky for swimming. Luckily tutuks only cost 50bht pp to go anywhere on the island so it was easy to get to nicer beaches

The location was great and the staff were really helpful and friendly.

We had to get the staff out to clean the room as we had cockroaches in our room and a swarm of flies going into a gap by the door.

A fantastic location with great views, wonderful staff, great choice of breakfast, a coffee shop on site with their own coffee brand, reasonably priced and delicious food choices, great pool, free kayaks, teabags, hammocks and chill out areas, a hotel taxi/tuk-tuk to and from the pier, free water refill station. The staff couldn't do more to help you. A very chilled out 4 days. Thanks so much Dada and your team.

There was nothing not to like about this place ?

This place truly feels like a family owned cozy resort. Nothing fancy, but at the same time, there is everything you need: food, nice coffee, swimming pool, and laundry service.

Lovely quiet location, family run, beautiful clean pool, good food, very nice place to stay for a few relaxing days

Everything, it’s cheap, free Canoe, beautiful pool beautiful food and what we liked the most about the place were the staffs, sooooo helpful and friendly people… we got our boat tickets from Koh Mook to Koh Lipe, but the day we had to travel we got food poisoned and couldn’t get on the boat so we asked if we can swap the dates thinking it was going to be a problem but when we asked it wasn’t an issue they understood our circumstances. they were like yes we can do that for you…. which was a surprise and we really appreciated them for that… also one of the receptionist gave us something something for our stomach which we thought was a really nice thing and really did not expect it….. we would highly recommend this resort

The service for dinner was a little slow

The staff are so wonderful and friendly. Make you feel very welcome. Very relaxing and calm atmosphere. Bungalows are modern, clean and comfortable

Lovely property, on the beach - it felt quite remote but actually it was just a short walk around the coastline into town. We thought it seemed like one of the nicest resorts on the island. Clean pool, nice restaurant. They were able to make most dishes vegetarian friendly which was appreciated. Sweet staff. Free kayaks. We loved that! Recommended.

Our bungalow felt a bit dark and basic. The AC was nice and cold but a bit noisy. The beach is not great for swimming at low tide - but there is the pool!
