Pros +
- Great location, staff, and views
- Fabulous position.
- I enjoyed the ryokan experience, view of the lake and proximity to the Shimane art museum, staff were very helpful.
Cons -
- We had booked the wrong type of room but the hotel kindly changed it.
- The hotel is a long way from city center and traveling there an back was difficult without regular buses, I enjoyed the ryokan experience except for sleeping on the floor, I found it the mattress very hard. The entry foyer is very well appointed, but the ryokan room building B level 4 was very old and dated
- Only a buffet restaurant was available - which was a bit of a scrum.

Comfortable and spacious rooms.

The rooms are a good size and parking good
The buffet restaurant is average
Spotlessly clean.Right next to the train station to Izumo Taisha.Decent size room.
There’s not a lot of stuff around, and Matsue station is quite far (about 30 mins walking) although it can be reached by bus (the stop is right next to the hotel). Please instruct your staff that residents of Japan don’t need to have their residence cards scanned to stay at hotels (in the same way as Japanese people don’t need to have their passports scanned). There seems to be still a lot of ignorance (intentional or not) around this in Japan.
It was very clean
One of my family members booked a room for himself for 4 nights for his business trip, but at the last minute, we (his son and wife) decided to stay with him for one night. Instead of giving us a big comfortable room for all of us, we had to pay additional fee for a very small extra room and we couldn't spend the night together as a family. When we stay at other hotels for several nights, they usually give us an upgrade or prepare something better, so I wasn't satisfied especially coming from far away. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're visiting with your family.
Friendly staffs with helps, cleanness, spa
We would have liked more breads, toast, etc at breakfast.
More breads, croissants, etc. would have been nice. We had a lunch there and the food was poor
Room overlooking a lake view, room is clean, spacious and bright, had a very good rest. Big and spacious room.
Breakfast is mediocre and can be improved.
this hotel was clean.and room layout was good.
the bar in this hotel was closed due to covid19.
Clean and the building is brand new. Staffs were friendly.
Food.
The breakfast was very good; the location was also good tho' a courtesy bus to Matsue Station would be nice.Nobody told us that the excellent Lakeline Bus stopped just outside the hotel. We found out by ourselves!Meals are expensive, and it might be useful to future visitors if you tell them that the "Shijimi-kan" about 150 metres west of the hotel has cheaper alternatives. Unlike most hotels, the room toilet and bathroom were separate. That was wonderful!
See above on meals.
Location, lake-front view from the room
Parking has no roof
New hotel building with a lake view, hot springs, and next to a train station. You get a resort mood for the price not much higher than a business hotel. The buffet is good for its price.
The buffet is good but is the same over the two days. Would prefer some variation.
The cleanliness and the onsen.
The location
Fantastic hot spring baths! Nice comfortable bed. Didn't book meals at the hotel so can't comment on those. Proximity to the station for trains to Izumo Taisha a bonus.
I only went there to sleep and enjoy the baths and it fulfilled both those requirements perfectly! Second time I've stayed and both times it was raining so next time I'd like some better weather so that I can enjoy the fabled sunset please.
Very clean
Lack of staff being able to talk English
Good only for the new facilities.
Too expensive.
Good
location is quite off-centre
