Pros +
- Clean and spacious, with good onsen facilities.
- The facilities were lovely, with both a nice big wooden bath in the room, and public and four (though one was temporarily closed) private baths. The area don't get too many non-Japanese tourists, so it helps if you know a smattering of Japanese, but the staff also have translation devices on hand to help. It was also nice that you could opt out of the ryokan dinner, which we did so we could discover local restaurants, but make sure to have a car if that's what you're planning to do.
- Very comfortable Japanese hot spring hotel, no need to worry about language problems, some staff speak English or use translation App. The bath and food are amazing, I recommend half-board booking for better experience. It’s location is close to Shrines and museums, within walking distance. Special thanks to three staff members: Inomata Ryu, Iwata Natsu and Ishibashi Chika.
Cons -
- Location is a bit difficult to get to using public transit, with not much around in terms of restaurants.
- I can see the advantages of not having the more usual reservation system for the private onsen baths, instead there were clear signs about the maximum length per bath and if one was free you simply went in, but they're naturally very popular and there were a lot of guests so it could be hard to grab one.
- Though the breakfast is very rich, it’s a bit cruel to me who need to sleep in ?

Clean, quiet, great food, staff very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable, I loved the onsen in our room, and the self grinding coffee was excellent, beautifully decorated.
Nothing comes to mind
Elegant interior and baths, high quality craftsmanship all over the place.Very delicious breakfast, outstanding service in a calm environment. Unforgettable stay
Izumo is a sleepy town but deep in history, Inishie no Yado Keiun just made my stay more meaningful in the cultural experience and understanding of the place. The staff are super friendly thou they don’t speak English, they made huge effort to use electronic translator and such to communicate. I really like the place a lot.
Is relatively hard to commute if you don’t drive in Izumo, bus or train tend to come half hourly to hourly (but super on time) and of cause everything in Japanese and schedule is on the bus stop.
The staff were very friendly and accomodating. The breakfast that came with my reservation was worth getting up for early. It was filling and delicious. There were private baths which you could freely use as long as they’re not in use. Their shampoo and body soap smelled nice and I liked how they had free ice candy and yakult. Too bad I couldn’t try their late night ramen!
Everyone details in the hotel is just PERFECT ❤️ Ms 大堀 is exceptional, she served us a great dinner experience in the hotel ? thank you so much
There is no shuttle bus service from train station to the hotel, the distance is acceptable when you don’t have very heavy luggage (10 to 15 min walk)
The vibes and the friendliness plus the onsen!
The overall experience as well as the location.
The materials of the bathing towels.
Fantastic facilities, great view from the room. I would go to Izumo again just to stay at this place.
Nothing to mention it was great.
Everything was so beautiful and the staff were nice.
