    Pros +

    • Beautiful resort , nice clean rooms , amazing facilities , would recommend a massage ,perfect stay and the most friendly staff i’ve encountered.
    • Facilities are a bit dated, but the friendliness and attentiveness of staffs offset all the issues. The view is amazing and the food is great at reasonable price. We went there during low season so there were a bit of rain but not deterred us from enjoying the sea.
    • We stayed here for 2 nights, and that wasn't enough, certainly. If we had known how much time it takes to get to Koh Kood from Pattaya (10 hours), we would have booked for not less than 4 nights. The place is wonderful. You really find yourself in a fairytale in this isolated place surrounded by the water and jungles. The atmosphere is most home-like, everybody is very friendly. Lizards, squirrels and birds come visiting at night. You can get a kayak and go exploring any beach or island you want, and this makes the resort one of a kind. I would recommend it as a perfect spot for honeymoons. Although it may be not the best option for families with kids.

    Cons -

    • The room is a bit old, even though comfortable but really need some refurbishment.
    • The bathroom badly needs remodelling. The equipment is old and leaky. There is neither hair conditioner nor toothpaste provided. There's no fridge in the room. There's no coffee for breakfast, that was my biggest disappointment here.
    • There was a construction ship to deepen the water infront of us. Very, very loud and all day.

Obviously the location is dreamy, tucked away and it feels like your on your own island.

There was a construction ship to deepen the water infront of us. Very, very loud and all day.

Secluded, beautiful location, privacy, friendly caring staff, ideal for couples, real hideaway. Pool villa with sea view highly recommended.

Bathroom is old. Breakfast serving needs more hygiene because of flies and other insects.

Our mini villa was amazing with an incredible patio with a view and small plunge pool to cool off. Service was excellent. It was an amazing and quiet spot.

The food could have been better quality- there was plenty of it but it was not as good as many of the small places we hit during our travels.

    4JustinPosted on: 2-21-2025

The ocean was clean and clear.Staff were polite.

My room was not as advertised. Rock hard bed, inadequate furniture.I paid over 350 AUD per night for a leaky bean bag and a kettle that was intent on giving me 3rd degree burns.Coffee ,tea and toilet paper were never restocked unless I asked.Transfer from the pier to resort was not acceptable having to wait 30 minutes plus.

Absolutely magical. The approach to the resort is like something out of a film and sets the tone for an unforgettable stay. The venue exceeded all my expectations. It’s truly a treasure of a setting. Having travelled round the island it’s definitely the best spot. The staff are all very friendly and the manager is particularly hands-on and extremely helpful in orchestrating any request, personalising your stay. It was SPOT ON! Can’t wait to return.

The breakfast was the only disappointment. Although there is a large choice for the Asian palette, for the western palette it’s not really enough. There is hardly any fruit selection and healthy option. Only egg and very cheap tasting sweet bread. If they can add more options for westerners like muesli, yoghurt, pastries it would help greatly!

The location is amazing. Only reachable by a little boat, you’re out on the rocks on a peninsula looking across to an empty white sand beach, which you can wade across to. Snorkelling directly off the deck, and just a peaceful and wonderful ambiance, quiet and relaxing. We stayed at four different places in Koh Kood, and this was the only place we had decent cocktails - the mixologist was great! Pai, the manager, is also just incredible at his job. Welcoming, friendly, helpful.

The beds are a bit uncomfortable (too hard), and the food was a little meh… you’re paying for the gorgeous location, and it’s still worth it, definitely recommend! :)With a few small upgrades like the beds, it’d be paradise

    7AnnePosted on: 2-4-2025

The location is gorgeous and the staff were exceptional. They could however clean up the jetty area where their boat collects you from. It’s not a good first impression.

Not enough loungers at the pool villas and not enough cushions / loungers in the general pool area.

Very relaxed but efficient from start to finish. Msg correspondence before the trip always speedily responded to with thorough information. Transfers very easily booked online yourself, I advise two single journeys so you can flex with your schedule and mix and match companies. I ended up going with Seudam Go for both ways though, and it was extremely efficient and smooth. The resort itself can also help you book, if in advance they need bank transfer payment, if after you get there, you can pay cash or credit card with 3% surcharge. I went post new year and had no issues booking just 24-48 hours in advance and neither boat journey was full.As a solo female traveller, felt safe and comfortable at all times. Remote location made it feel extremely secure and chill. Just the right amount of interaction and support. Everything requested was provided or accommodated with a smile eg slight modifications to menu, first aid kit (albeit v small range of supplies, sufficient for my needs) I loved the multiple platforms into the crystal clear water. The estuary location was wonderful, making the water calm and clear and clean. Menu has a very wide range of options - about 160, mainly Thai/Asian style, but that's a plus for me. If you need Western food then there's two pages of your basics. A la carte food available until 8:30pm each night. There's also lots of different tucked away loungy areas dotted around so everyone can find a fairly private spot to relax.Once there, you can easily swim or canoe over to a beautiful beach, which, given its remote location, feels like a completely private beach. And there's a huge sandbar so depending on tides, you may only need to swim about 10m before your feet touch sand. If you need bits and pieces, then take a canoe. I didnt bother, but many did. Many included things, snorkel kits, fire dancing show at night, firefly viewing etc. Think the canoes also may not have cost extra.

Nothing I didn't like, but tips for future travellers:- toiletries provided are basic shampoo and shower gel, soap, ear buds and shower cap. Fine for me but had I stayed longer (I stayed 4 nights 3 days) I may have regretted not bringing my own conditioner.More photos and info on this site would perhaps help people understand the context better. If you're not very mobile, you might find this location a bit tricky as during the transfer from the ferry, you need to get on a small outboard motor from a remote little pier (see my photo) to the resort - about 5-10 mins ride. Impossible for wheelchair for example. Cool and exciting for me though, felt like a jungle adventure. Villas are spread out along the estuary or up the hill (assume the ones with sea view). It is not a walk down beach and there aren't many sunbeds around the pool, as another reviewer mentioned, this wasn't an issue for me, but if you're the type that likes a big pool and lounging about around it, this place would not suit. Some reviewers mention this is good for families, I might suggest better for solo or couples or small groups. If your kids are active and able to swim or canoe or you're happy to take day trips each day, then this is great. If they need to be by a pool all day and have activities on site, then this would be less suitable. The pool is adequate size given the whole bay is basically your pool already, but if there were tons of kids, it would be no fun.First aid kit looked very limited, not sure if they had more for more serious injuries. I just needed antiseptic and small bandaids but there wasn't much more available than that. No biggie, but in an emergency, help is quite far away so just be aware! One wish list item would be to have some small ladders or rungs for each platforms so people can climb up and down even when the tide is low.

Amazing nature! Swimming and snorkeling around the hotel is like being in an aquarium. There was actually better snorkeling by the resort than in the islands nearby. Amazing exclusive beach across the resort 2 minutes swimming away or with kayak. Great staff and amazing cocktails by the bar!!

The pool area is very ran down. The sun beds are looking really sad! I hated the bathroom! I get that the natural rocks feeling by the shower area may have been nice years ago, but now is looking molded and smelly. I found it depressing. Overprice for the condition of the facility. It needs some renovation.

It's an amazing setting, there's a beach 30m in front with white sand and a swing and mangrove trees all around, the rooms all have an exceptional view, all the staff are so nice and helpful, and you can only access it via a short boat ride (5mins) through the mangroves which is always free (available 7:30am to 9pm) . There are even free kayaks you can use, and get to Ko Raet which has a small reef and sunken statues that now are part of the reef. An amazing snorkelling spot. The bartender is an artist also, all drinks beautiful and delicious. You can also rent scooters to drive around the island from Bann Makok, which is an even shorter boat ride and also free to get to. Breakfast is a free buffet with lots of options, and there's also free coconut ice cream available throughout the day with juices that change every day (our favourite was butterfly pea).

The restaurant is a bit expensive compared to other places on the island and the food isn't as good, but as I said you can rent a scooter to get anywhere. The drinks were also fairly pricy but as mentioned the bartender is amazing so it was worth it. The beds were also quite hard but that's a matter of preference.

I liked the facilities! The staff, Pai- the manager was so helpful and kind. The resort is kind of isolated from the other resorts so they offer all of the guests a kayak to go around and a boat that can take you to the nearest dock. You can rent a bike at a location just near the resort and drive around the island. There is a beach in front of the hotel and behind the hotel, with white sand and crystal clear water. You can see the fish from the hotel deck. I could seat there for hours. You can see a beautiful sunset from the hotel. We really had an amazing time. One of the highlights of our trip.

    10CameronPosted on: 5-1-2024

Such a beautiful location, peaceful and secluded although a little tricky to get to but worth it for the views, beautiful sunset, lush rooms (felt very lucky) and the staff are very kind and so helpful and accomodating. They really look after us well. The room was really clean, amazing bathroom.

Can be a little hard to go anywhere else on island as have to organise a boat there and back to any other part of island but this can be worth it for the peace and seclusion. Recommend staying here for start or end of your island trip if you are seeing things around the other parts of Koh Kood too

    8AurianePosted on: 4-3-2024

The location is unique (on a river, only accessible by boat) with a beautiful view on the ocean. The landscape is wonderful. This place has a lot of potential.

The staff is terrible, it seems they were never trained as they weren’t even capable of serving us a coffee on time. 99% of them didn’t speak English which made it difficult. The food was too expensive and not good (frozen fish). The room is not comfortable, my neck hurt from the pillows, the towels had some stains and we saw a mouse on the hotel bar and other animals on our terrace.

    7DebraPosted on: 3-21-2024

Pai, the gentleman that runs this hotel is top notch and will make sure you are well cared for. The area is beautiful and Serene.

This is not a good place for a solo traveler. You must rely on a boat to get here and cannot come and go as you please. The beach is a little effort to get to you must wade or swim to a small stretch of sand or take a kayak to secret beach. All of this would be great for a couple of family with older children.
