Sterling Arunai Anantha Resort

We had gone late to the hotel, around 10.30 pm. The kitchen staff opened the kitchen at 10.30 pm after they had closed for the day, and made fresh chapathi and dhal for us.

The front desk staff was very rude. The price is too high for what is really a 1-star hotel.

Friendly staff, very good Indian breakfast and chai, toiletries, hair dryer and other room needs were provided without having to ask. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

I liked everything but as with other hotels in Tiru the Wi-Fi didn’t really work and I was never able to connect to it, even at four in the morning. Also there was a bright light in the bathroom that I was unable to turn off. My only suggestions would be to add some comfortable outdoor seating areas to enjoy the nice grassy grounds and frangipani trees. Maybe they don’t bother because much of the year it is too hot to sit outside, but in winter it is so nice. Also I would love it if they were able to arrange to rent a bicycle. I asked about this, and they suggested I try in the main town.

Check-in could be faster, and the room could be ready when we get there.

The property grounds were nice and the staff were courteous.

- payment was complicated. They sent us a separate link to make the payment and we had to send them the payment confirmation couple of times. - room was not ready until 5:45pm though check in time was at 3pm and we had to wait for 30mins- room and restrooms were not clean. More like a 2 star hotel. - we paid 14k for 1 night and based on the cleanliness, food, etc it was totally not worth the money

Breakfast and the restaurant downstairs is good. There is enough parking space.

No lift. Even suitcases had to carried through stairs (staff helped).

Except the location, nothing to write about

The room was not cleaned, no water given the next day as they were busy ?!?!?! Reception staff made it worse

It is nice property conveniently located near the important points of interest, has ample parking, greenery and open spaces. The rooms are spacious with modern decor and stocked with all aminities. Food is good. The security is good and makes you feel safe. All the staff at the front desk, the restaurant and the property as a whole are excellent!

Ambience, cleanliness and courteous staff prompt response.Anjana was very responsive with my queries.

The front desk (Mrs Venda) and the other lady manager were very helpful in providing the required assistance regarding stay, temple visit information, arranging auto etc. The canteen staff and the chef were very warm and helpful.

Can be a little more cleaner. Car when parked in the parking lot overnight was covered with bird shit.

Location was perfect. Close to the temple and the girivalam path

Room furniture and doors were dated. not well maintained. Bathroom fixtures were not good and water spilt everywhere in the bathroom. Housekeeping was not timely.

The front desk tried to charge me again for the booking and insisted they did not receive the payment. Finally, I had to show them the payment receipt. They gave a cock and bull story about how they were about to cancel our reservation as payment was not received. For the amount of money charged for 1 night, it's nowhere close to the expectations. In fact, the resort is a 2 star facility, at best.

Lovely surroundings ,quiet and relaxing.

The restaurant is not at the same standard as the rest of the hotel. Badly decorated with a slow service.

Average. can be better. The dining hall is small compared to the occupancy and we had to wait a long time to get a table and finally we decided to have the food in the room.

better greenery. The garden looked very dry and too many mosquitoes outside to enjoy the outdoor. so we felt it was better to stay indoors, inspite of great outdoors.

The staff were courteous and friendly.

The breakfast was ok. Could have been more options with some healthy items included.

Room was booked for our guests from abroad. Thry enjoyed the stay and the support by the staff

Ideal location - quiet and beautiful. Staff and food were perfect.

Rooms need a renovation - at least to paint the walls
