Seavana Koh Mak Beach Resort

Every detail - from the check-in greeting to the stones in the resort walkway - was chosen with care. Abundant hammocks, chairs, excursion options, and plenty of quiet. I particularly admired the zero-waste efforts. Their Day Beds Beach Bar kitchen held a reputation and a diverse menu to satisfy lunch and dinner. A separate sushi bar offered fresh ngiri and sashimi as well.

My only suggestion is to (somehow) include lighting on the stairway entrances. And possibly build a lookout terrace to properly see the sunset. Lastly, an update for paddleboarding equipment. All wishes and no corrections.

The property was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Exactly what I wanted for a short vacation on the beach. Service was outstanding, always friendly and helpful. It also has one of the best restaurants on the island. Overall, it was an excellent value.

Compared to other parts of the island it is less of a problem at Seavana, as the staff maintains the beach, but sandflies can be an issue on Koh Mak. Fortunately, the resort stocks OFF you can buy that prevents any bites.

The food was not so good. Laab Moo taut was cold, fish dish was cold. Eggs Benedict terrible. You must toast the bread, make sure yolk is runny, improve sauce. Khao Tum was good and the veggie spring rolls good.

Lovely restaurant, good food and service, bread at breakfast amazing. A smile from Joy started your day well and all the young restaurant staff were so good and well trained.The beach and sea were lovely, the sea was so warm.The reception staff, especially Jim, were so helpful and accomodating

The tree canopy had been allowed to overgrow blocking the view and sun on the roof top.Bathrooms really do need sorting out - shower curtains disgusting.Furniture needs attention.The Sushi bar needs proper seats not bean bags, especially for the older person and new bar stools (like the restaurant has).

If you’re thinking of booking, go for the beachfront suite — trust me, waking up right on the beach is something I’ll never forget. The room is stylish and comfy, with a great shower and a cool outdoor tub. The upper terrace? Perfect for watching dreamy sunsets. The staff were all super sweet — from check-in to check-out, everyone we met was friendly, helpful, and happy to chat or give tips. Breakfast is lovely. They welcome you with fresh fruit served in traditional bamboo baskets, and you can order hot savory dishes from the kitchen. There’s also a buffet with yogurt, fruit, cereals, bread, jams, and hot drinks that are always topped up — all served with genuine smiles and kindness. The pool is surrounded by lush greenery on one side and the sea on the other… just wow. It’s incredibly peaceful here. If you’re into calm, quiet vibes, this is your spot. There’s even a game area with a pool table, foosball, and books you can borrow. Honestly, it’s hard to describe the feeling, but it’s one of the most beautiful and relaxing places I’ve ever been. Highly recommend.

Lovely beach, outdoor pool is very cosy, with lots pf vegetations, houses are lovely too. We especially liked the private outdoor shower. There are plenty areas for relaxation on site.

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in due to the staff, ambiance, hotel location and food. I LOVED every minute at this paradise of a hotel and would LOVE to come back. Been staying at other hotels in Thailand but nothing can compare to this.

The food, the pool table, the view, the restaurant. Great location although watch out for box jellyfish in the water. Pretty painful! The staff were wonderful and very friendly with the children.

The hotel is very outdated and needs an overhaul. It is the most expensive hotel on the island and unfortunately does not warrant this cost. The rooms are in need of maintenance and decorative upgrade. The bathrooms need a deep clean. The food in the restaurant was poor and did not meet the standard we had in the rest of Thailand.

Sandflies are a problem. This isn’t the resorts problem.

Rooms are nice and have a rustic charm that allows for a calming atmosphere. The breakfast isn’t vast but it is more than enough and caters for all. The staff really make sevanna fun and relaxing and are so kind and attentive and made our stay amazing. We found the beach and views incredible and probably the best on the island

Nothing really, if I was picky I would say the bathrooms could do with a little update

Everything was just perfect.The staff is very attentive, and the food and drinks excelled my expectations.Ate every night at the restaurant and the breakfast had a good choice of dishes. The pool bar has a good variety of cocktails (especially sake Margherita) and fresh coconuts to drink from. Great beach, great view. Everything great.

Everything was perfect, extremely genuine friendly staff. Beautiful very large beachfront bungalows, very comfy bed pillows and bedding. Free toiletries smelt amazing, we bought a bottle of the coconut shampoo in their shop ? we hired a golf car for the day at a reasonable cost.Breakfast was absolutely amazing, as was all of the food in the restaurant.If we ever come back to Koh Mak we will definitely stay here again.

This resort is beautiful. Staff were incredibly helpful and kind. Breakfast options were amazing. We were very sad to be leaving.

We got shouted at by a fellow traveller as my children were playing in the games room which is directly under the yoga studio. We were unaware a class was going on so they played as they usually do which the man was angry about as he was wishing for a peaceful class. Maybe the yoga studio could be more remote and away from other facilities.

Everything!!!! Simply WOW! Super service, you always meet someone with a smile, great beach, brilliant location, super nice bungalows and such peace and quiet.

The second time staying here. We love tranquil and quiet resort with a nice beach. Above all the staff are wonderful. Meals at the restaurant are plentiful to choose from and scrumptious!! The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Only the bathroom needs to be renovated. We are looking forward to coming back next time.
