Koh Mak Resort

Great location on the beach, walk straight off the pier into reception, friendly staff, delicious food at the restaurant and a nice breakfast included, motorcycle hire available, quite and peaceful location with no noise in the area, we would stay here again.

There’s nothing we didn’t like

My husband indulged me in my need for swimming in salt water and having no responsibilities beyond reading my book. This was perfect for that! The staff were charming, the breakfast was good, and we had no need for more than that!

Needs updating.

The room, the mini mart, the restaurant is limited and small. The place looked dirty and not upkept..

As a family of 5 we had an amazing stay in the deluxe family bungalow. It was beautiful, spacious + clean, next to the lovely pool + right on the most beautiful beach ever. The staff were lovely, friendly + helpful. The breakfast was excellent, as was the all the food. There's a lovely beach bar which does happy hour + a small shop. Koh Mak is a quiet island + was how I remember Thailand being 25 years ago.This was out favourite stay during our recent trip + we hope to return some day.Thankyou Koh Mak Resort

The Beach was very clean, the Location is very good, Breakfast/Restaurant/Bar were very good and reasonably priced.

The restaurant was not the best. Could use an upgrade to make it nicer with better (more cosy) lighting in the evening. The pool is not appealing but the beach is great.

Almost like a dream! Great house and bungalow next to the quiet and beautiful beach. If we knew, we would have stayed longer! Best breakfast I have experienced in Thailand yet. Easy to take a boat over to amazing Koh Kham ?

Beach, vibe, staff

Lots of flux of tourists as the pier and tourist office are in the middle of the resort. Some communication issues- one meal and a boat transfer

We booked a large & spacious family bungalow with plenty room inside and out. 1 minute to the sandy beach. Quiet, unspoilt location. Very friendly staff especially female receptionist & restaurant staff. Good breakfast. Happy hour cocktails. We were collected from pier on arrival & taken to boat for departure- all part of the service. This is a quiet area of Koh Mak, which we enjoyed. We also walked across to busier Makhatanee with more choice of restaurants- took about 20 mins, & we were glad we took the torches provided in our bungalow!

Bungalow needs a little TLC, especially the bathrooms which both had cracked sinks.

The view was breathtaking, the garden well-maintained, and the bungalow in good condition. The beach is cleaned every morning. Free pick-up and drop-off service from pierThe staff at the reception was very friendly. Boat to Koh Kham well organised for 350 Baht included one soft drink per person.

The breakfast was poor, and it was clear the breakfast staff had no enthusiasm for their job. I can confirm from some previous bad reviews about the staff. The beach had only a narrow strip of sand, which disappeared completely during high tide.

Great location on beach with nice bar and good restaurant. Staff were all terrific and the pool was perfect for cooling off. Seemed to attract mature couples intent on relaxing, and we did.

Very clean, good breakfast and excellent staff

Nice enough bay facing north west. The bungalow we rented was decent. Upstairs room with bathroom and terrace and large downstairs bedroom with bathroom and sea view terrace. You can rent mopeds on site.

Impersonal resort. Just not the nice and friendly vibe we've had in other places. The German lady renting scooters and selling some boat trips was especially unapproachable... the sort of person who would direct you to the shop window for information...Very hard beds.

The beach not so fantastic a bit too much seaweed and garbage.

Everything was perfect,,we spent 5 days there in 1st week of October only 2 bungallow were occupied,,empty beach,,empty resort in low season,,lovely couple served good breakfast of choice for us ,,,will go back ASAP!!

Wonderful resort. We had a room beach front, just 20-30 meters from the water's edge, in the night was pleasant falling asleep with the sound of the waves on the beach. The beach is probably the best of the island. The room is cleaned every day (the towels are changed daily but the sheets didn't, we stayed 5 nights). The staff has been very friendly and lovely with our baby and us. They also helped me to fix a wheel of my trolley bag that was broken durung the transfer.

Some facilities and services in the resort were not available, staff told us that werer closed because of low season, but it was not declared before, when booking the services were declared to be available. Some stuff in the room was quite broken, when rainning strong some water come inside from the windows, but they were working to renew the bungalows near to our, so probably they will renew also our.

This is the best beach front location in Koh mak. not too crowd in rainy season. I love it. The staffs are very nice. The bar got P'Wan, one of the best bartender you ever know, please try her drinks. she is lovely. The food also very good with reasonable price. I love this place so much.
