Bulow Casa Grand View Resort

We loved everything, the rooms and facilities were clean and modern. The location was probably the best on the whole island because we could see the sunset every night and enjoy the cocktails and live music (basically on the sea).

The breakfast had a wide variety but quality was lacking. Service at breakfast was poor, with staff standing around but never coming to our table to take drink or food orders or remove dirty plates. The location was not convenient but still very crowded, mostly with European tourists. The air conditioning worked pretty well.

The bathroom in our villa had a strong odor of sewage for the entire stay. The round bed was uncomfortable. The villa had no privacy. There was a group of at least seven very loud people in the adjacent villa, including three young children playing in the shared pool in front of our villa all day long. The beach immediately in front of our pool villa consisted of rough industrial sand rather than the island's naturally soft limestone sand. There were long tail boats parked on the beach right in front of our villa. This was not exactly the peaceful, romantic experience we had hoped for on our honeymoon.

No spa or pool. Location is great, Villa and Beach amazing. But it’s too pricy.

Nice bed, really firm. Really friendly staff. Really good location as sun set was a great view from resort making it really beautiful.

Nothing just paradise

The bungalows are gorgeous. We stayed in a garden one and it was lovely - super clean with great facilities. Food is fantastic too.

Value for money. It was definitely our most expensive stay in Thailand and whilst I know we were there for New Year, it’s missing the 5* touches you’d expect and that we recieved at similar rated hotels.

The staff was very friendly. The resort manager was exceptionally kind, capable, efficient and spoke English very well. The masseuses that came to the room were professional and very skilled. The room, pool, and beach view were stunning!

The staff was very kind, but did not speak much English in general which surprised me for the level of resort that this was. The only thing that may have made things easier is if more of the staff spoke English. :)

Friendly staff, room is clean, ala carte food not bad and the beach front room has the amazing view at sunset beach and you can snorkelling in no time.

Beautiful beach and nice bungalow but it doesn’t worth 1,500$ for 3 nights. For that price, you should be right on the beach with a private pool.

As we arrived nobody has met us. We had to ask a random staff from other hotels (cheaper than casa) where can we meet casa’s stuff. One them called someone and told that the staff is coming and we have to wait for 10 minutes at the same time other hotels representatives have met their guests. We were with a kid after 3 hours of speed boat ride. I wrote to hotel via app, but nobody answered. I was expecting another level of service for the money i paid. By the way we ordered extra bed for a kid and it costed 2500 batt. That’s too much!

Excellent location and excellent staff

Breakfast, could have been more choices, but if you ask you will get, so it is quite ok.

The location is great. Snorkeling right in front of the hotel. Only a handful of boats on the beach. The shuttle service into the town is good.

The level of English from the staff is mediocre at best. Drinks take a very long time, coffee at breakfast takes at least 10 minutes. We had a pool villa. One day they did construction on the porch of one villa. That resulted in sawing dust being in all the pools (they ar connected). We told the staff, they had no idea what to do. The dust was too small to get it out of the water. So they put some extra cleaning stuff into the water. No idea what it was(it’s a saltwaterpool)Our daughter had an allergic reaction to it, my wife as well. My white polar watch turn yellow, one bikini from my wife also. Our daughter could get into water anymore also the sea. Sadly the staff is not competent and they handle problems not very good.

You pay mostly for the prime location. Most beautiful beach we've expirienced travelling Thailand for numerous times.If they want to be the high end hotel you pay for they need to level up.

Swimming pool not available for garden villa

Everything is perfect, the way back to resort was a bit muddy~ They took good care for every customers, providing free shuttle to walking street. Me and my girlfriend were there to celebrate her birthday, they did a nice dinner set up for us. Totally worth the stay, will consider to go back. The most memorable staff was the guy who fetch us every-time to walking street, he knows how to speak Malay, english too bad that i forgot his name.

Nothing !!! everyone is being helpful. Staff will greet you every time you passed by.

Excellent service and very good staff

Breakfast is very good…How ever the food needs to be covered as the quantity of flies is significant which makes it not very appealing. ALL foods should have a cover during Breakfast
