Batam Marriott Hotel Harbour Bay

The hotel’s clean, proper & comfortable. We’re assigned to the room that’s very near to the elevator which is convenient for our elderly mother. Rain shower’s superb! What’s amazing is the hotel staff who’s not just hospitable & friendly but very helpful. Especially the one man (i didnt get the name) who helped us with the luggages. He’s so kind & was so helpful & even offered to help exchange ferry tickets for us (we didn’t want to trouble him in the end since the exchange place was just around the corner). Overall, what made our stay special was really the staff & we’ll definitely return.

The room lights were a little dim & the breakfast area was so overcrowded that we couldn’t get seats. Thankfully we’re offered lounge access (but most food’s gone & replenishing took time)

It was very comfortable. Food was great. Most importantly, the staff was so lovely. All were friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were well cared for. I wish I could name them all, but to name a few: Vanessa, Violina, Jennifer, Adhit, Friska and Rejal.

Excellent location, just above the harbour, the staff were accommodating, able to give us connecting room and while waiting for the rooms to be ready, they gave us a temporary room to rest as I have 2 old folks and 2 children! The room was clean and bed was comfy and the breakfast buffet spread was exquisite and lots to eat and try! I love the beehoon and their Indonesia cuisine. Will sure stay again and recommend my friends too!

Perfect location right above the ferry terminal. Very friendly and helpful staff, great pool and fitness, comfortable room and the rain shower was awesome. Excellent breakfast buffet. Rooftop bar also cool.

TV didnt have either netflix or other OTT apps including IPTV or any other options of TV entertainment. No HDMI available to connect to our portable devices either. The available list of English and Indian shows in the TV was a big disappointment. The spa rates were too expensive and also the lack of proper authentic vegetarian options in the menu.

The breakfast spread is awesome! Compared to other hotels, Marriott offers the biggest variety. The staff at the restaurant always provide excellent service. Great job, keep it up!

The breakfast menu should be changed at least every year or two. For regular guests who stay at the hotel, after a couple of months or years, it feels repetitive since the menu stays the same. The only change I’ve noticed is in the mini bar—used to have chocolate in the fridge, but now it's no longer provided. I wonder why?

Everything is great! The hotel is just above the Harbour Bay, very convenient. Room is spacious, bed and pillows are comfortable. Swimming pool is clean with nice sea view especially during 4-6pm. On top of that, the hotel staff are the best. They very helpful and efficient, especially Kevin who made our stay at the hotel very enjoyable. He was very patient in answering our questions, recommending food in Batam and explaining the culture and religion. He introduced us to the restaurant's chef Dinar, who personally prepared for us a unique Batam local cuisine Ketupat (traditional rice cake), rendang sapi (beef rendang), sambal goreng hati (fried potota with chicken liver), absolutely delicious! Highly recommend! We’ll come back again.

Lovely comfortable hotel, very conveniently located next to harbour Bay ferry terminal, good having nearby small mall, yet also convenient to order grabcar to get around nearby places. Nice infinity pool to enjoy the seaview and corner of Batam.

The club lounge food (only available for guests staying high floor) was mediocre, I'm contrast to the decent breakfast buffet.

Very conveniently located for the ferry, the facility is also well kept and clean.

Staff were helpful, however when using the meeting room booked, the staff were a little disruptive outside the room and slow in assisting when needed.

Location is great. The concierge Mr Maliki was very helpful to send us to the nearby seafood restaurants. Thank you very much for ur kind hospitality.

It would be great if it was clearly stated whether the room includes a bathtub. I may have overlooked the details, but I was under the impression that a bathtub was available. I even brought along a bath bomb, but unfortunately, the room I stayed in only had a shower and toilet.

The hotel is conveniently located near the ferry terminal, just a short walking distance away. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We upgraded to M Club Lounge access. The lounge, located on the 11th floor, offers exclusive perks such as complimentary breakfast, cocktails, and dinner. Our rooms were situated on the 12th floor, the highest level of the hotel, offered a stunning sea view, providing a picturesque and tranquil scenery that was truly breathtaking. The rooms were impeccably clean, thoughtfully designed, and equipped with comfortable beds and modern amenities for a luxurious stay.The M Club Lounge boasts breathtaking scenery, with its panoramic views creating a serene and sophisticated atmosphere. The cozy and elegant environment adds a touch of high-class exclusivity, making it the perfect spot to unwind and indulge in style.

Point one : Noise levelWhile the hotel's proximity to the ferry terminal is convenient, it does come with some noise disturbances, particularly when the ferry departs. Additionally, conversations from guests walking along the corridor, even when they are not shouting, can be easily heard inside the rooms. Unfortunately, this affected my sleep on several occasions, which was disappointing given the overall quality of the hotel.Point two : Breakfast at M club loungeThe food options were quite limited, and the dishes were extremely cold. We were fortunate not to experience any stomach issues. Disappointed, my family and I decided to have breakfast at Goji Kitchen and Bar for the following days instead. To our surprise, the variety of food at Goji Kitchen and Bar was far greater than what was offered at the M Club Lounge, and, importantly, the food was served warm and fresh.Point three : Dinner at Jiang he resturantMy family and I dined at Jiang He Restaurant on December 12 at 7:30 PM (Indonesia time). I ordered the steamed salted egg buns, but to my dismay, all three buns were missing the salted egg filling. The dish had to be re-served.Next, I ordered the braised bean curd with crab meat, but both the sauce and tofu were overly salty. The half Peking duck we ordered was disappointing as well—the thin pancakes used for wrapping the duck were served cold.Finally, we tried the fried rice with crab meat, egg white, and truffle oil, which turned out to be quite average and lacked the expected flavor.
