Grand Cascade Hotel - Chennai Central

I was not given the room that was promised. They gave me an additional room that had been constructed on the top floor where the staff stays. The approach to the room was awful. Clothes of staff were hanging all around. It gave a shanty appearance. The TV was hanging from the wall. When I objected to the state of the room, I was given a room in the adjacent hotel Hotel Elegant. There the room was okay.

If they did not have the room then they should have not confirmed the room. After all they were charging Rs 4000 per day. I could have stayed in Radisson Blu for that amount.

it was a wonderfully located and an amazing hotel to stay . it was a great experience to stay there and the staff and amenities were excellent..superb room service and dining facility wth kitchen available.

Breakfast served was good.

Could've cleaned better than that.I requested for a blanket as the one in the room had blood stains on them. They said all the staff's are busy and to wait 10 mins. Later didn't not attend to this. I understand India has lot of people and u wont have problems getting locals to stay at ur hotel. but if u are using an international platform to get bookings to ur hotel. Keep a standard. Please do better.

I was under impression that check out time is 24 hours. But hotel people told me check out time is 12 pm though I occupied room just 12 hours before. I felt it was a loss for me.

Staff didn't confirmed my room so I managed the other room

We had already informed the hotel and got confirmation on mail for early check in around 8:00am in morning, we reached hotel by 8:00am, still the hotel was unable to provide the room saying all rooms are booked and have to wait till any guest check outs at 9:00am. We had to take our laggage and find local hotel at last moment. Really sad to have such experience of such a big name hotel.

Don't be deceived by the photos... in real the hotel and its rooms are in bad condition. Not hygienic at all.

Rooms and bathrooms poorly maintained. Too many blackouts.

Disappointing

Room could have little more clean and tidy as I found the bed was not up to the mark. And Ac was not so well functioning. Also wanted to share my experience on hospitality I had to check out early by 7 a.m and have requested the receptionist to arrange for a early completimentary breakfast. They could not arrange nor could detect money on my bill.
