- The ladies who greeted us at the front & checked us in and out were so warm and friendly. Every detail from material use, design, user experience felt like someone created it for themself to enjoy instead of for a business. It was luxurious yet cozy. These touches can't be seen in the photos but the high quality can be felt when you are there! If you choose a place to stay in Niseko, this is the one.
- The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was marvelous!! The staff was very helpful and speaks good English. They went out of their ways to find activities for our kids and printed maps of the areas with activities. We booked for the 3-bedroom studio, but didn't expect it to come with 3 bathrooms! Wonderful.
- We are a family of 5 stayed in 3 bedroom suite. This is the best hotel I have ever stayed. If I come back to Niseko again I will definitely stay here. The staff all speaks English. Our room view is amazing. Beds were super comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were all amazing!!! We did the included breakfast and 6 course dinner. We stayed at 11 different hotels in Japan this trip and this one ranks the No. 1. When it’s time to check out, I do not want to leave.
Cons -
- Nothing at all.
- This is ultimately our fault, but we accidentally left behind 2 jackets in the closet. We realized this a few hours after we checked out. When we called, they said housekeeping could not find it. We are 100% sure we left it in the closest, and it's unfortunate that just a few hours after checking out, our jackets could not be located. Hopefully there is a better lost and found process implemented.
- The transfer from the airport is a little too expensive

Everything about this property was perfect. From the location, to the views, to the facilities...incredible. But most of all, the service staff here are just top notch.

Great location on the slopes; Wonderful multilingual staff; full buffet breakfast with lots of options. We enjoyed the gym and the onsen as well. Great ski shop for rentals.
The transfer from the airport is a little too expensive
Amazing service. Great location near the ace gondola lifts.Ski straight to your room is possible. Great rooms. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Great location For snow. But I went out of winter so good stay for summer so rates were fantastic Great breakfast
Onsen would be a bit small in winter I would say
Nice spacious rooms. Close by to gondolas. Shuttle bus was convenient. Very friendly and Hospitable staff
The rooms were a very hot with no ability to reduce the heat other than to open the windows (which made the room too cold given it was snowing heavily outside. So found it hard to find a comfortable temperature. Unsure if being on the same floor as the onsen affected the temperature etc
Room size, facilities and equipments are stunning. Breakfast is great, Japanese and western buffet. Location is quiet but very close to center.
This place is absolutely gorgeous. The room with view of Mt. Yotei was incredible. The service was impeccable, they even went the extra mile coordinating with our previous hotel and our next hotel to have a lost item shipped to our next stop. The private onsen was amazing. We don't usually do hotel breakfast, but this spread was next level, they had everything and of ridiculously good quality, I'm still thinking about the local camerbert cheese and the cured ham... Tuna sashimi and salmon roe for donburi, ridiculously good local fruits, just the tip of the iceberg, they had everything. We stayed in the off-season (late Sept 2024) so the value of the room was probably one of the best we have come across in the last 15 years of traveling the globe. Oh, didn't mention the beautiful kitchen with everything you need and super high end equipment and pots/pans etc. If you want to spoil yourself in the off-season don't think twice, just book this place. And thank you so much again to the staff for helping us recover our lost item from a previous hotel, you really went above and beyond, and we are eternally grateful. Keep up the stellar job and we can only hope to come back in the near future.
The penthouse was one of the best places that I stayed in. Best view with floor to ceiling windows. Had a great week with my family. My wife loved the place and wanted to spend the whole vacation in it. I don’t blame her!
With all the good things, the air conditioning was not cooling especially in a sunny day, with all the windows around. The management tried to fix the problem but the place is designed for winter. The hotel manager offered us even to move to a bigger penthouse, but the problem would still be there. They placed fans everywhere which eased the problem.
Very good location for ski in and out !Room was excellent , very clean ,comfortable ,luxuriousBreakfast : many kind of food , so deliciousOnsen 's very good too
Ski in/ out location. Breakfast was superb with a vast variety of foods. Staff were most helpful. Decor throughout was very tasteful.
The walk into town for restaurants. However, the hotel offers a service for this.
The staff was super nice. The hotel is literally touching the slopes, so you can access them literally from the door. And there’s a valet service taking care of your equipment, so you can get it and go out easily. There are also many amenities that you can use, some free and some for a fee, but very convenient. There are private onsen that you can book, which is as very nice. There’s also a free shuttle bus that can take you up and down to the village.
Amazing complementary breakfast buffet. Location is perfect for those spending time on slopes. Renting snow gear is easy and staff is super friendly. One of the best places I have stayed at ever, period.
Location is very nice and ski in and out. But far away from restaurants. Sky Shuttle bus is on time and nice to catch.
Room is unexpected. Services booking got cancelled. Room discounted right after my booking. No price match policy.
Everything was great. The Frontdesk staff is exceptional. They were helpful over and beyond.
I wanted to extend my stay for two more nights. I was told all sold out. Then when I was checking out I learnt half the hotel is empty. This doesn't make sense. If a Customer is willing to pay for your empty already used room you take it.
Breakfast had a nice selection of Japanese and western. Front desk staff the night of Wed 5th was very helpful trying to find me a restaurant in town
Small thing but the onset could have a little more open air feel to it
The view from my room was the best part for me. I stayed here 3 times during the 2021-2022 ski season. Amazing view overlooking the ski hill. I didn’t want the Mt Yotei view side because I’ve paid for that view in other properties and if it’s snowing (hopefully) you will never see Mt Yotei. The night skiing was cool to watch too. Especially whilst taking a shower! (in a non-flasher sort of way)The private onsens were easy to book during this season because it wasn’t too busy due to covid and the state of emergency in March 2022.Rooms were always spotless and the bathrooms too. Heated floors were a plus once we figured out how to turn the heat down so we could stop burning our feet like running thru a parking lot on a hot & sunny day at the beach without any shoes on.The ski shop staff from Australia were always helpful and friendly and personable. It was a pleasure every day to be greeted by them.On my last night, I met a woman in a bar who was an acquaintance of my friends and she asked where we were staying and she was overly excited about us being at Skye. She worked there in the back of the kitchen washing dishes but acted as if the hotel was owned by her own family. She was beaming with pride and full of useful, positive info that the front line people seemed to lack. I think her name was Noni because it reminded me of what I used to call my Italian grandmother. She was being wasted in the back of the kitchen. Someone with her experience and enthusiasm should be at your front desk or greeting people in the restaurant because although the desk was professional, they lacked a bit of warmth or seemed to be a little fake. The restaurant greeters sometimes seemed a bit cold too.Niseko has a huge foreigner customer base and that was very obvious to me these past 2 ski seasons when foreigners living in Japan were all around town.
Ok, this is a little nitpicking of me but here goes…It’s meant to be a ski-in/ski-out hotel and that really depends on how much of the mountain is open. I was soaked in sweat a few times “skiing” to the first lift or gondola ride of the day. More like walking and carrying skis and then skating on flats to get to an incline. Snowboarding friend had it worse on those days. The week before Xmas wasn’t exactly ski-in/out until it finally dumped a lot so then it was better. And then in March, to get to the Ace Lift, you would have to climb up/down a snowbank which would collapse into running water beneath you. I watched many people fall through the snow and then their equipment went flying into the street. It’s somewhat dangerous and scary. I stayed down the hill at other properties with ski van valets that dropped us off right in front of the lifts and it was much easier. The “hot” food at breakfast sits under not-so-hot heat lamps so the food isn’t ever truly hot. It seemed like food at the business class lounge in Frankfurt Germany to me or one in London Heathrow. The cold food on the salad bar was much much better. Not the greatest pastries either. Overall, the Skye breakfast is much better than the other hotel near the gondola with better ski-in access but kind of gross breakfast. I could fill up on veggies rather than watery scrambled eggs that were almost cold. I felt that the staff didn’t know much about what restaurants or bars were actually open during the state of emergency and they couldn’t really help with that information. The town was really dead in March 2022 and they could have made a list of places that were open so then guests would know their options beyond walking around and looking for places. Skye is meant to be 5-star service so it’s not expecting too much.
