- Closeness. Access to mountain. Gear room was very convenient and spacious.
- Location. Onsen. Staff. Breakfast. Ski locker
- The breakfast! Wonderful wonderful, such variety, good amount of everything, lots of protein options, vegetables, freshly baked tasty pastries, coffee is good too. The location is good too, total walking distance to ski lifts, 5 mins walk to hirafu base, or 10 mins walk to grand hirafu mountain center. They have their own onsen, though I didn't try it so can't comment, not used to the mandatory nudity hahaha. We had a japanese style room, so it's sleeping on the ground with a mattress. I'm Asian so I'm very used to this style, my husband is not and his comment about it is "surprisingly comfortable". Trust me, a harder platform is better for your spine, and the mattress adds adequate softness. Shower is nice and hot, wifi works well in our room.Overall a very pleasant stay.

Nothing really.
Breakfast was amaazing. Onsen was increadible. Great boot drying room. Two minute walk to the Family Chairlift. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
6pm seemed a little early to close the conference room. It would have been good to have the opportunity to sit around there and eat our takeaway dinner with family and fiends.
We loved this stay! The Japanese style room was super comfortable, we love a hard mattress so sleeping on the floor was no problem. We had breakfast included which was so worth it, extensive options at the breakfast buffet and made it easy for skiing. Coffee was nice and strong. The onsen after a day on the slopes was transformative. Great location, walk down 1 block to get to the family quad lift to take you up to the mountain and can walk downtown to food trucks, restaurants, etc. When we return to Niseko will definitely book here again.
The room temperature was a little difficult to control, but not impossible!
Perfectly located for skiing and enjoying local restaurants. Outstanding onsen. Quiet and calm.
Close to Grand HIRAFU Base and near multiple places to eat. The ski and snowboard gear storage room was awesome to have, making it easy to transition from slopes to hotel. Parking was simple and, the hotel had good breakfast.
No complaints.
It is situated in the heart of Hirafu where the ski slopes are. the breakfast was decent, and the staff in the breakfast area were very accommodating. They continued replenishing the food until 9:00 am and kindly waited until guests were finished eating—we were able to finish at around 9:30 am without feeling rushed.
The rooms were not quite what we expected. If you’re assigned to the older extension rooms, there is no elevator, so carrying large luggage up and down the stairs can be difficult. The Japanese-style bedroom felt rather gloomy, with only one main light and no lamps or nightlights. The windows were placed very high, which made the room quite dark.We also noticed that the entrance stairs were not cleared properly, and we almost slipped, which was concerning. In addition, the shared restroom setup was a bit inconvenient, with only two toilets serving around 20 rooms, especially in the mornings when privacy was limited. Overall, considering the older rooms, limited facilities, and lack of view, we felt that ¥108,000 for two nights was quite expensive for what was offered.
Breakfast had extensive selection, location was convenient to everything, staff were incredibly friendly, enjoyed the traditional Japanese sections of the hotel.
Great location, wonderful breakfast
Outdated, slight odor, cramped room.
Very great location for snowboarding. Right off the mountain and an excellent choice for close bars/restaurants!
Located in Upper Hirafu, it's a short up hill walk to Ace Gondola and Hirafu Welcome Center. Breakfast quality and variation was good with fresh daily bread. Having an onsen to soak in every day is a joy. The tatami room we stayed in was standard, clean, good size and comfortable. Ski storage, boot dry room was great, easy access. This is a Japanese style lodge which does the basics very well. It is not plush, styled or fancy but this was not important for us.
There's nothing I didn't like...some things could be improved like breakfast food quickly was finished and not replaced in a timely matter.
Location, dry room, Onsen
Some small amenities like tea cups , are lacking
Loved the onsen'S, sauna, massage chairs etc. Breakfast was amazing and always different. The view of the volcano at sunrise was unbelievable. The fresh flowers around the hotel were beautiful. Good distance from the slopes, restaurants and shops. The boot drying room was large and very affective
Futons and pillows were slightly hard but that's more of an us problem then a this hotel problem
How big the room was and the location. The buffet was amazing!
A little outdated bathroom but that what the bathhouse was for. Buffet could also start earlier so it doesn’t feel rushed getting to the slopes first chair
Location to slopes and welcome center
Futon beds only and shared bathrooms
Excellent location and well-run hotel with very clean facilities and generous nay massive breakfast. We had a Japanese-style room with shared bathroom (ie communal washbasins and separate men’s/women’s loos). Fabulous indoor/outdoor onsen (women and men separate)—our first time—if worn out by skiing you’ll have it to yourself in mid afternoon. This is your shower option, so though that might put some people off, it shouldn’t really— if you can overcome shyness you’ll find you’re cleaner than you’ve ever been! Location is excellent, very central, walk to all Hirafu bars and restaurants, a very short walk up to Hirafu Base. We rented ski gear and outerwear/goggles/helmets there (we’re traveling light) and left our boots and skis there for easy access every morning. Other rental places might have more sophisticated choice of gear but you can’t beat an easy walk in the morning! And the staff at the base were absolutely charming.
We liked the experience but check carefully which room you have booked as it’s really good value for Japanese style room but some don’t have a private bathroom (and they do specify this) if that is important to you.
Great location, clean & comfortable rooms. Self-service laundry, ski & boot drying room were surprising bonuses! Sleeping futons on the floor may not be for everyone, but was fine for us.
Breakfast, while tasty and good variety was served so late! Why not open doors earlier so avid skiers can get out there! We had to skip breakfast most days because we did not have enough time to get to our meeting spots by 8:30 and there was always a huge lineup
Niseko Park Hotel is located right at the base of Grand Hirafu, walking distance to the gondola and the Hirafu Welcome Center, which is the hub for bus and shuttle service throughout the region. The hotel, although not the most modern facility, has vintage ski posters, artwork etc... in the lounges and hallways. The large ski and boot drying room is very helpful. Nearly perfect lodging for a ski/snowboard focused trip.
The traditional Japanese style rooms may be totally adequate in Japan but are sparse by western standards. An optional folding chair, cushion or "beanbag" would have made this westerner slightly more comfortable.
Great location - 5 min walk to the lifts, super central and right across the street from restaurants and a convenience store/pharmacy. The place was very clean and tatami beds were very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was high quality and very delicious, had both western and Asian style foods every day. Onsen was also appreciated after a day of skiing.
