    Pros +

    • Steps away from the ski chair! Make sure you book this hotel with on suite onsen!
    • location is superb right next to the family ace lift, location is perfect in the middle of grand hirafubreakfast is very good and ample, Reasonable price for such location in Hirafu.
    • great location ski on ski off, private onsen in room was worth the money

    Cons -

    • -locker for guest to keep ski is on the third floor that u have to climb, the metal rail from locker to the ski is loosening and people may fall down if not careful-staffs are all confusing and unable to deliver normal Japanese service. I checked in for two days with two different types of room. Upon check in I asked about how to change the room the next day and check in staff told me I don't have to. I repeatedly confirmed that I have two different booking, he said it is ok no need to change room. Next day,all I got is a call knock from housekeeping asking why I dont move my things to the new room. I said I was told no need to change the room, the cleaning lady told me no and all notice I got was a paper put in front of my room saying I have to change the room. Later after talking to three staffs, they asked me to move to new room. This is annoying to me since we are family of four with children, since I thought I do not have to move the other night as the check in staff said so, I spread all my things and now I have to repack everything. Apology was done in a subpar Japanese service. I have N1 Japanese level and I talked with them in Japanese, so language is not the issue, it's the management.-Hotel itself is good, but Hirafu probably not for me, I don't feel like staying in a Japanese hotel.

Excellent customer service, amazing location (can ski in and ski out to the lift once you have your pass), and great amenities like public onsen and ski lockers!

    Nothing I can think of

    7DAVIDPosted on: 12-24-2025

Breakfast was a "no go" .Turned up at 915hrs and was told it closes for last order at 930hrs. Everything was cleared and staff refused to help me get anything. Disappointed and left

F &B is a zero. In past worked as was cheap and now its expensive due to under supply in the area. This time was ok as just late night arrival at like 1030pm and early morning exit at 945am. Room was old. yet clean and comfortable. Public onsen was grossly dirty..full of too many outsiders. It was a good move for a cheap overnight before moving to a decent hotel the next day. This hotel is too old and tired. If get private onsen for your room, it works ~ otherwise just avoid it. Big plus is that the Gm, whilst heavily overworked is great and very nice + location is "ski in ski" out

    10MarianaPosted on: 4-27-2025

Ski in/ski out. Breakfast and dinner buffet are great.

Onsen is open to public outside hotel guests and can become busy at the end of the day.

    9WhalleyPosted on: 4-16-2025

Location was great! Backed straight onto the ski fields. Onsen was amazing at the end of a long day of skiing

    8IsabellePosted on: 4-11-2025

Hotel which doesnt impress on first site. But it has a lot of great things going for it! Location: you can ski to the slopes and ski back to the hotel. There is a great onsen! Absolutely adored soaking in the hot water after a long day skiing. The breakfast is Japanese style with some bread possibilities. But it is healthy and good. The hotel is at walking distance to some nice restaurants in the neighbourhood. We stayed in a Japanese style family bedroom and slept on futons. It was nice overly comfortable, but nevertheless a lovely experience. Great value for money!

    Pillows were really not comfortable.

    7FayePosted on: 3-30-2025

Great private Onsen, beds and pillows in Japanese room a little too firm for me. Very helpful staff and great ski in out location.

    9MaryPosted on: 3-23-2025

Fantastic location. Ski in ski out. Walking distance from Hirafu welcome center and in town.I loved my in room private onsen with a view of ski slopes in Niseko. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They held luggage for me when I arrived early so I could ski, they have changing rooms, storage lockers, ski lockers, and large wonderful public onsen that was never crowded.

The building is older and doesn't look like much from outside, but the rooms appear recently remodeled, very nice inside, comfortable and quiet.

Hotel is very outdated with a below average breakfast . It’s cheap for a reason but the great location with direct access to the ski area .

Hotel needs urgent maintenance and updating . It’s very old, rusted and tired .

    10JessicaPosted on: 3-11-2025

Amazing facilities and super convenient for access to the ski lift. Great location in the town and friendly staff who kindly gave us complimentary champagne for our anniversary. We had the “non smoking deluxe twin with private onsen” which was soo worth it for the private onsen! The photos don’t do it justice. We loved our stay and wished we stayed longer :) won’t stay anywhere else when coming to the snow in Japan now, will definitely be back.

    Nothing, it was superb

    8VickiPosted on: 3-1-2025

We loved the private Onsen - so nice to come into after a day on the snow. Our deal included buffet breakfast which I'd recommend. Staff very obliging and friendly. There's no longer a bar at the hotel (used to be), plenty of nearby options. We have stayed here several times and the main attraction is both the public and private Onsens.

Some extra hooks in the bathroom for towels would be handy. The Prince is starting to show it's age, but is very clean and comfortable.

Older style hotel with a traditional Japanese rooms and a great Onsen

Having to wait until 3pm before booking in

    10JuliePosted on: 2-20-2025

Beautiful room with our own private onsen which was great to relax after a day of skiing. Ski in/ski out with lockers for skis etc. Very good location to restaurants and shops.

We really enjoyed our stay here. At first we were a little surprised the shower is outside next to the onsen but knowing onsen etiquette we understood this is the best location.

    7JasminPosted on: 2-16-2025

The free beer, tea, coffee everynight. The buffet breakfast was great. nice lobby

hard pillows and extremely hot room even with the window open. the heating we couldn't turn off

    10YumiPosted on: 2-16-2025

We loved the ski in and ski out here in Hirafutei. It was super convenient leaving our ski gear in the lockers downstairs and you can walk straight out to the ski lifts. The Onsen in our room was absolute heaven especially after a long day of snowboarding.Restaurants, convenient stores and ski hires are walking distance from the hotel as well.

    Can’t think of anything.

    6GuyPosted on: 2-15-2025

Location was close to the mountain

Was charged an extra $1200aud for a child. We pulled out a futon from the cupboard to sleep 3 in the room. Hardly worth the extra money. Should have said nothing
