    Pros +

    • The Furano Beef course at the restaurant was the best beef I have ever had. The staff found my room key I lost and told me and refunded the charge and loaned me an ice scraper for my car. Service was amazing and the rooms are beautifully designed and clean.
    • Property location is walking distance to Ace Gondola and has shuttle service to both King and Ace gondolas. The ski concierge is helpful, heated and access controlled ski locker room makes getting ready and ending the day comfortable. Staff is very friendly, including helping share a children’s sled.
    • If a hotel could be perfect, this would be it. Location was incredibly close to Ace and King gondolas, on the main strip in Niseko. The amenities including ski concierge, concierge services, onsen and gym were amazing. And the breakfast buffet was fantastic!

    Cons -

    • The breakfast is miserable, with American gas station quality pastries, poor coffee options (black only), and unripened cut fruits each morning. This was a disappointment because a nice breakfast before skiing is a nice way to start the day and is very out of line with the food quality in Japan. The rooms are also very dated now, no USB plugs on any type anywhere in the room, for example, furniture being Temu quality, and cabinets so oversized it’s less possible to use the kitchen sink without squatting down. And for a place known for skiing, rooms lack simple amenities like ample wall hooks or a place to store damp gloves and hats.
    • Nothing springs to mind.
    • Paid extra to have a view of Mt Yotie and clouds never cleared to show

The property was perfectly located. What made it stand out was the staff. Caroline at the front desk was very attentive and solved a problem I had, Alec in the ski rental area was very helpful, the Public Onsen was very clean and I had the best massage while there. Definitely would recomend.!Many thanks to a great staff!

Loved our stay here. Hotels feels very boutique. Staff is friendly and helpful. Room is nice and we loved our balcony with views of Mt Yotei. Breakfast was Japanese and American fare. Onsen was calming and soothing. Location is perfect, just down the street from gondola. Highly recommend.

Snowboarding, staff, food, beds, location... the whole experience.

    7MichaelPosted on: 3-24-2025

Handy location - hotel shuttle to lifts (or anywhere), easy downhill walk after. Ski concierge was great - listened to my interests and gave me the best board I've ridden in Japan so far. Great to have snow hire and onsen in-house.

Breakfast had variety but focused on more western/european than asian. Also, not unique to here, but someone who could knock out a good coffee with steamed milk would be well appreciated.

    7AlanPosted on: 3-22-2025

Breakfast was very busy and chaotic. Food was ok. Never gonna win any awards as it was pretty basic

Warm things kept warm and cold things cold would help

    10GaywoodPosted on: 3-18-2025

The location was excellent - just a short walk or an even shorter shuttle ride from the slopes. The breakfast was delicious and had great options, both Japanese and Western. The public onsen was lovely and I also had an excellent massage (with the option of having it in my room or the massage room). The rooms were very spacious and clean, and all the staff we spoke to were super friendly.

The restaurants weren't as good as some of the other options in Niseko - but still nice. The boot room could do with being warmer/ having boot warmers, but otherwise was very good, with spacious lockers.

From the pick up at the Welcome Centre to our check out, Chalet Ivy proved to be an excellent choice. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of food on offer.

    Nothing really.

Comfortable beds, great showers, spacious suite, great breakfast, regular shuttle to the lifts, helpful staff.

Made reservation for dinner at the hotel restaurant and turned out we were “upgraded” to half-board without any explanation that this is a limited to a hot pot. This absolutely should be explained to guests. We had intended to order a la carte so this was disappointing. But it got worse. I’ve had great hot pot, this was not it. This was without a doubt the worst meal I’ve experienced (with 20+ years in the travel industry I’ve found myself in some disappointing restaurants). Even if we had been able to order a la carte, the restaurant space is cold and uninviting. The ambiance is non-existent. The dinner experience at this hotel is a serious mismatch with an otherwise great hotel.
