    • Kensington resort exceeded my expectations by 1000%. If I could give more than 10 points, it will be 1000 points. Value for your money (the lodge I rented is huge by comparison to typical Korean hotels), very clean, very large living room and nice kitchen. We arrived late due to flight delay and the staff who managed our check in was very courteous and professional. It was the lodge that just blew me, my picky husband and sister away. We had the morning buffet. It had both European and Korean type breakfast. The selection was quality food. I opted for Korean breakfast since they had a loads of vegetables. Last but not least, it had a lot of gentle walking path for us old folks and sister’s dog. My sister’s dog give his paws of approval!
    • Dinner buffet was good but expensive. The property is lovely and well kept.
    • Breakfast had many great choices, wonderful walking paths and beautiful grounds. Quiet and peaceful stay.

    Cons -

    • The kitchen needs glass for drinking beer or wine. Drinking alcoholic beverages from coffee cups is not tasty at all.
    • Also booking.com makes it seem like all rooms are pet friendly but they aren't. We booked a chalet type room but had to switch to an apartment style room because of this error. Breakfast was disappointing.
    • Our first room had some issues and we were given another one - it was very roomy but one of the rest rooms was cold, drainage was a bit weird and rooms had just one light you could turn on/off when entering and no switch near bedside.First room had very few charging points in the rooms

Location is exceptional: great resort territory, waterfall, both in-resort and wild animals, super views

Serene nature and surrounding, perfect for families and those who like to stroll in nature. Clean, neat, secluded. Perfect getaway from a big city.

Everything about this place was fantastic! The staff were very helpful, the grounds were clean and well organized, the buffet was always well stocked with delicious and hot food, and it was just a wonderful stay.

    Everything was perfect. No complaints.

Very nice hotel very well located close to outher Seorak National Park, 20min to the city of Sokcho. We really enjoyed the quiteness at this place, really good to relax and enjoy nature. Perfect Breakfast served! The rooms are alle different size apartments perfect for families but also for group travelling. We really enjoyed our stay and will defenetly come back! Thanks

just small things, but it needs to be cleaner and rooms need to be warmer for the guest on arrival

    Very poor

I couldn't stay at that hotel due to electric problem. They arranged other hotel in downtown without charge.

Great location! So relaxable place. Can fine tranquility here!

Very unfriendly staffs. I travel all over the world and for some reason in Korea, outside of hotels in Seoul, I ran into many poker face staff throughout country.... It was great location and I might come back but again, staff... In addition, I had 3 bedroom but came with only one bathroom...certainly could've used one more bathroom.

Beautiful property with easy access to the National Park. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Food at both the breakfast and dinner buffets was delicious and plentiful. The staff was gracious, kind and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Absolutely nothing. Our stay was perfect.

Villa was comfortable and nice views of the mountains. Bathroom was big and very clean. Overall comfortable, spacious and clean.

Second bedroom had only a bed, no furniture. Master bedroom was good. Food very overpriced but no where else close by to go. Coffee shop, lounge and minimart are just the bare essentials and in the lobby.

    9JamiePosted on: 4-3-2024

The mountains surrounding the resort offering beautiful views. The resort was walkable with many sweet nooks and crannies for viewing, reading, coffee sipping.

    10SaewonPosted on: 3-26-2024

Beautiful location and very peaceful and serene.

Not enough furniture in the bedrooms. We could have used another table or two.

Nice facilities within the hotel, family friendly, very good view for breakfast

Beautiful location, superficially lovely accommodation until you need anything

You stay in chalet style accommodation that is described as fully equipped. Although we had said we were five people, we had two towels and no glasses. We called and they gave us two more towels and glasses (so still not enough). The properties look lovely but they are very badly designed. For example, there is nowhere to hang your clothes, there are no lamps in the bedrooms and the light switch is on the opposite side of the room. One bathroom without a separate toilet is not enough for potentially 6 people. The breakfast is served at a really silly time ( from 7-830) and there is nothing for vegetarians. The CU store on site is very expensive and badly stocked and there is no where nearby to buy food. There are lots of minor tweaks that could be made to make this a lovely place but currently, I'd advise to pack as though you're staying in a self catering caravan which is poor given the price of the rooms.

The house was very large, larger than we needed in fact, and was v. clean. The resort is quiet, no noises at night. The convenience store in the basement of the main reception building is a plus. I can't comment on the staff, as I only saw one person at reception check in/check out. Room service entered the chalet once and just left two bottles of water (which we didn't need) and some accessories (bin liners etc.) on the kitchen table.

The resort has been built like an American suburb - I realised that, however, I'd hoped the other buildings would be further away. We did not use our 'patio' and barbecue set, but I don't think we'd ever consider it given we'd be sitting basicly in the neighbour's parking lot. The kitchen seems well equipped at first glance, but lacks e.g. teaspoons or glasses (there were only mugs). Also, we arrived in extremely heavy rain around 6-7 p.m., had problems locating our chalet and parking space, which due e.g. to the fact that area was poorly lit. The awnings above the entrance door have also not been constructed to deal with downpours, with rainwater cascading down in buckets - basicly it was impossible not to get soaked just getting from the car to the door.

Close to nature & far away from the city. Spacious rooms. Breakfast & lunch buffet were delicious. Staff was kind and helpful. Was able to do a short little hike from off the property, which was lovely.

Beautiful location and great variety of food options for breakfast and dinner.

Need to book breakfast the day before, but even so they can run out of space, i.e. can’t make a booking because they’re full. There are no other dining options close by, so can create an issue if you’re not prepared.

Tranquility in its location was probably the most distinctive feature the resort offers. My family enjoyed it thorough being away from the hustle and bustle of cities.

Staff can be a bit more attentive to customers needs. I was randomly approached by a staff when I was waiting in line to check in and bluntly asked if I stayed in the facility... didn't feel welcomed at all!
