With U Hotel & Guesthouse

Love the quaint seating area beside the bed where you can lounge & relax in. Had dinner on the mini table the first night I checked in & a wonderful place to kick back with a drink at the end of your day. The washrooms were clean & exquisite too !!

There's only one person at front desk and it gets really busy at night so it's tough to ask for tour tips. Most of the staff dont really speak much English but it immerses you in the culture of the country.

Location was excellent, across the road from the express bus terminal and the bus stop to Seoraksan is right ouside. Several food options and convenience stores nearby.The room was effective for a short stay. Air con, fridge and hairdryer good. Appreciated the water coolers, and there is a kitchen in the basement though I did not use it.The owner was kind and helpful despite the language barrier and when I left something behind after check-out he responded very quickly to help me get it before I missed my bus! Easy to leave your luggage there before check-in or after check-out.

Room size is just nice for one person but if two or more, it'd be tight, especially to find space for luggage. The bed is indeed very hard as other reviewers say. Since I was alone on a double bed, I lay on half the duvet and folded the other half over me as a blanket, and that was very comfortable.It's not the newest place but it was clean and functional. I was told to keep the window slightly open (there was a fly net thankfully) which means I could hear street noise, but that's what my earplugs are for. The aircon light is quite bright at night but that's what my eyemask is for. The shower setup is unusual but it was tolerable for a short stay. Towels provided are thin hand towels but at least there were several. There is no elevator but on the first day the host very kindly helped to carry my luggage up.No room cleaning/makeup service, maybe they only do if one puts the sign outside the door? But didn't really matter since I was only there 2 nights.

The owner is very welcoming, the room was clean, big and the bed comfortable. There is a big kitchen / game area in the basement. The location is perfect, near the express bus terminal, the bus station to go to the Seoraksan Park, and five minutes walk from the beach. It was very quiet, I didn't see other people, which was surprising because of how nice this place is. Maybe it was because I stayed there just before Chuseok.

LOVE THIS PLACE! It has a perfect location and accessibility to everywhere nearby, and the man who runs the guesthouse is so attentive and kind. My friends and I felt extremely welcomed.

This place is perfect for solo travelers. Its located in the heart of main street Sokcho so you have lots of restaurants to choose from and its just a walk away from the beach! Also, Daiso and Emart are just a 4 min walk away which is perfect incase you need go grab some toiletries. The manager was very kind and helpful. The room was super clean and comfortable. I would definitely book this place again in the future.

Clean and accessible for everything. Like transportation, restaurants and speciall is near the beach...awesome place

With U is in a very convenient location, 2 minutes from the express bus terminal and Seoraksan bus stop and 5 minutes from the beach. I stayed in the private bunk bed room, a great value for some private, albiet, cramped space. Facilities were great. There is even an outdoor seating are and a basement with water, coffee, kitchen, and entertainment

Overall, this place is great. However do know you there is often no one at the front desk—you must message them—and not much traveler information as I could see like at other backpacking spots. The biggest annoyance was the sink/shower setup. If you don’t reset the handle, you’ll get a second shower yourself while trying to wash your hands.

The accommodation was super super close to the express bus terminal and the bus station where you can take a bus to Soraksan National park.The check-in went smooth. The room was comfortable, the beds as well. There is a mini fridge in the room and towels. The bathroom has shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash, toothpaste. (the conditioner quality was amazing). Only thing was that the toilet door had a small window to the room which was somewhat see-through.There are other spaces in the accommodation for movie watching etc. Also water purifier to use on your way out.Good deal for the amount payed.

The gentleman who manned the reception alone during all three days of my stay was extremely helpful and courteous. He carried my luggage up to the third floor upon arrival, and during check-out — likely because the hotel wasn’t very busy at the time — he noticed I was preparing to leave and came up to the third floor to bring my luggage down for me.

There is no elevator, but I have no complaints since the staff kindly assisted me with my luggage.

Perfect stay. Right across from the Express Bus Station and the bus to Seoraksan departs from right outside the hotel. Great room. Extremely friendly and helpful owner of the hotel. Highly recommended!

The location was great since you are a few meters from the bus station and that coffees and restaurant are nearby.The installation in the basement is also great, unfortunately I did not really used it because it was very cold in middle of march.

Not a lot of space, but good for spending a night. Clean and modern.

As advertised. Was a bit small but was okay for the four of us. Owner was very friendly and nice.

As it was probably meant for families, the panels for the toilet and shower were slightly see through and we had to cover it up. Floor was a bit dirty and sandy also.

The hotel is just opposite the bus terminal, and taxi stand, and a few minute - walk from the beach or Emart. It's super convenient.

One of our best place to stay in South Korea. The beds were incredibly comfy, the room was quite large, and we slept really really well.The place is super well located to take the bus and go visit the Seoraksan National Park or the beach.Overall an amazing value for money
