Smell in the room, moldi smell, we order a room with a pool access, the jacuzzi in the pool didn't work,

It was perfect, everything was on the highest level starting from the room which was huge, the shower, the balcony and the breakfast was amazing. The stuff were super kind, we will definitely return.

Hotel and room design & great variety of breakfast (but the taste was so so). All staffs are very friendly. The fire show on Saturday night was incredible.

Old facility to be repaired ( Uncomfortable bed - too soft, Broken bathtub at balcony).

Great hotel by the beach and reasonably close to local shops, restaurants, bars and the Khao Lak market. Staff were always helpful and friendly and the facilities were good also. We used all.cafes/restaurants within the resort regularly so the food quality was up to standard you'd expect from a hotel at this cost.

Not a big deal but they could do with staff waiting on the poolside loungers just to keep in line with other hotels we've stayed at in Bali and other SE Asian resorts.

Beach front location and within walking distance, 10 minutes to the centre.No fighting over sunbeds at pool or beach

No sound proofing between walls from noisy neighbours. Staff were great with dealing with it though

Our 6th visit to La Vela Rooms are well appointed, clean and modern. Large rooms that have a sofa bed, lots of space to store luggage and a full size refrigerator.The breakfast is one of the best we have had . A large choice of hot food, egg station with many choices, sushi freshly made, good variety of breads and pastries and fresh fruit. There is also a dedicated barrister. Staff are amazing and will do everything possible to make your stay memorable. Three pools to choose from and the beach as well. Kokulo Club has a seafood Buffet three times a week which is not to be missed. Also has a bartender show and fireshow three times a week.The location is excellent with many restaurants within a short walk. A number of minimarts a five minute walk away.

Everything was perfect...hence we have rebooked for our 7th stay.

Nothing to dislike

After getting there and not liking our room,tim helped us out and helped us move the next morning,every member of the staff was always smiling and nothing was an issue, incredible hotel on a beautiful beach x

We were given an upgrade to a private pool entrance room, it was really lovely. The staff were very friendly and were quick to sort out any issues. We had an amazing time and really enjoyed ourselves,we would definately go back.

Everything was nice. The town (an older person destination and quieter), the pool was cooling, the room was okay other than our biggest complaint, the breakfast was nice, beds were a bit hard for our liking, towels were cheap and worn. They supplied beach towels at the pools, beach loungers were nice but limited at the pools so towels were put out at 8am by sun worshipers but I dont agree with that so I took them when I arrived.

La Vela is less than 20 years old and I would have assumed being that new, everything would work! First room 3133 The lights didnt work. Couldnt figure out the switches. Cold showers. Low water pressure, Pool Access room: Cold showers, low water pressure. We booked the Deluxe Sea View Room 9 months prior to our arrival. We chose this room because we love the view of the open sea and their pictures show no obstruction and little tree's. After further communication with the hotel, I assumed we had a sea view as the name states, therefore further requesting the best view of all the sea view rooms available, booking this far in advance, I put that in their mind. Upon check in we were offered an update to Grand Deluxe Pool Access for the last 3 nights of the 8 nights we were staying. We asked to see our room first. I would have booked pool access if I really wanted it in the first place at only a few bucks more. This I believe was offered to open our room up for another reservation as the pool access room was open, getting the most bang for their buck.OUR SEA VIEW ROOM: Building A1 room number 3133. 3rd floor. Immediately walked to to a claustrophobic feeling. The view is totally blocked by dozens of tree's. All we see are tree's. There is no sea view. No people watching. No pool view. Just tree's. Its good for privacy but this should not have costed me an extra $90/night so asked to move. I could of cared less where they put me. They were completely booked! So I asked for a discount, twice! No response. We decided to take the pool access room they offered only to get out of the groove of a viewless view. We didnt really want to move since the room was ground level with open views to our room to everyone but it was better than what we had.Recommendations: Building A1 has no sea view. Dont book a sea view room and expect to have a sea view for the next 10 years.

Room quality excellent. Beautiful pool and beach.

It’s a big resort. Many times it felt crowded and impersonal. Rooms were serviced sometimes quite late, eg 3pm. Breakfast did not cater well to vegetarians for hot food.

The hotel is amazing for people with kids. There's a kid play area that has plenty of toys and books for kids to enjoy. There's a playground, an aqua park, plenty of pools which make up for the beach being a bit less nice. One of the best breakfast buffets we have had was in la vela

The beach doesn't have enough shade and it isn't the finest grain sand. You can take a scooter or a cab to any of the other nearby beaches with white sand. The food outside of breakfast was a bit underwhelming and overpriced for the quantity you get

Excellent beachside location & an easy stroll to lots of cafes/bars/street vendors and massages. Lovely grounds and beachside bar for sunset cocktails.

The restaurant on the beach, the staff don't understand English and get the orders wrong and the food is no good. Only the sushi is brilliant

The breakfast buffet was very good and varied, something for everyone. Interesting and pleasing layout and architecture, big pools which never felt crowded and a beautiful beach facing the Andaman sea. There is also many resaturants, small shops and a marked 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel.

There was a surprising amount of intense mosquitos which seemed to not care about aircondition or mosquito repellent, but that is of course not the hotels fault. But it might be worth noting if staying here at this time that it might be alot of it. Somewhat stressing during the night and by the pool.

Everything, experience was one of the top one on all the aspects, clean room, cleaned whenever needed, kind staff and very supporting, especially JP.The resort is big but it doesn’t look like it is and also doesn’t feel like is busy when fully. Having good coffee in a hotel is also something rare. Also the breakfast is one of the best…

Excellent location: easy to walk to lots of restaurants and supermarkets outside the hotel. Good quality breakfast especailly egg/ coffee live station and local fruits section. Well designed room: spacious room, with shower and tub. Nice balcony to sit outside, and a place for you to hang beach clothes. The main swimming pools are perfect for family with kids, and for those who want to chill out on the beach, you can enjoy your happy hour drinks at the adult pool. I think this hotel is good for both short stay and long stay.

For the Management, please provide medium size towels for drying hair everyday. ?
