    Pros +

    • I like the beach I like a friendly staff and spa's staff good service, I love breakfast food line
    • "I really liked the location—it’s quiet but still close to everything I need. The design of the space is also really nice, and the rooms felt spacious and bright."
    • The only good thing about the hotel was the breakfast which to their credit was very very good, but the rest was a big disappointment

    Cons -

    • The property itself is lovely, but I wish it were just a bit closer to public transport or certain amenities."
    • The hotel is still under construction. There is one side of the hotel that has been refurbished and is nice, and another that is in shambles (you can guess in which one our room was). You get to reception and are amazed by the architecture and the nice design, but then when you go to your room, the whole passage smells like sewage (really disgusting, had to hold my breath on my way in and out every time) and then you need to walk for another 5 mins and go through five sets of stairs to get to your room. As a bonus, we mainly picked this hotel so we had a Spa on site and when we got there they were already fully booked. If you are a fan of being by the pool, make sure you get there early as all sun beds get taken very quickly (there are not that many). There are two small pools available, the third one you see in the map when you arrive is under construction.
    • Not so much a dislike but a lot of the staff do not speak English which makes simple requests frustrating

Newly renovated room was bliss ! Very spacious clean and comfy! Bed was amazing ! We had bad rain so pool was out of action and also brought smells in the room from the toilet area

Not so much a dislike but a lot of the staff do not speak English which makes simple requests frustrating

AmbianceThe resort has a nice atmosphere and is well decorated. However, this does not account for the great amount of broken sunbeds.RoomsWe enjoyed the rooms. They are big and look very nice. However, the balcony is too small. It's not enjoyable to sit outside and have a drink or play a card game while the kids are sleeping.KidsThe kids' pool was great for our kids. However, read our negative feedback when you have small kids to temper expectations. BreakfastBreakfast had loads of options and long serving times.StaffWas very friendly. However, I was a bit surprised that hardly anyone had a very basic understanding of English.

Kids This location is popular with young families. The kids' club offers a very limited free program, only at 11:00 and 14:00, with rather uninspiring activities. Reservations must be made one day in advance, and even if there is plenty of space and few or no children present, staff will refuse entry without a prior booking. When my children wanted to do some simple drawing, they were turned away — even a piece of colored paper was refused. The alternative was to join an expensive paid activity, such as painting an umbrella or decorating a T-shirt. Despite the kids' club being empty, staff showed no willingness to engage with the children and instead remained focused on their phones. One would expect that it would be possible to make a drawing or fold a paper all day long when having availability and staff is only scrolling on the phone....The pool, however, is excellent and offers plenty of fun for the children.BeachThe beach has very high and strong waves! No life guards the beach. The beaches up north (coconut/white beach) have a calm sea. Unfortunately, no shuttle service is provided to these places. Cabs are pretty expensive even for European standards. RoomsGreat ambiance. Unfortunately, we had issues with the airco. It broke down 2 nights so we had to move rooms. Our phone was not working either. They had to fix it twice.StaffThey are friendly. However, considering it is a resort, you would expect a basic understanding of English. At least a manager with a basic intermediate level of English.Sunbeds Loads are broken.Shuttle busVery limited runs to only the Khao lakcentre and Ban Niang market.

This was our second stay at this hotel. We really like the location, facilities for the kids and the beach. Breakfast is good but could be improved with more choice and more Thai food available.

Lack of sunbeds was an issue around the pools, there were a lot of broken sun beds too.

Location and proximity to food, drink and shops.

The room we booked was not available. We were given another room on the first night which was awful, far from everything, upstairs with a view of a noisy electricity substation. We were upgraded for the last 2 nights but this meant we were unable to unpack and get settled in. Very rude managerat breakfast chased down and shouted at my daughter in front of everyone for taking away a cupcake from the included breakfast. Threatening to charge £50 for it. This pretty much ruined our experience.

The hotel is so beautiful, the swimming pool is right on the beach with a sea viewGood staffGreat Spa, very recommended

The pirate ship was a huge win for our kids - they spent hours on it. The location of the hotel was great, right on the beautiful beach and in a small but lively neighbourhood. Our room was spacious. The breakfasts were great and lots of choice. The staff were excellent!

The fact that this hotel had no elevators and they first tried to put us on the fourth floor (we have a toddler and a buggy) made no sense. They then changed us to a ground floor which was great but it meant we were in a high traffic area, with lots of people walking past our door to the beach and hence it was quite noisy. The fact that there were stairs everywhere, to the breakfast area, to the lobby, made moving around not that easy with young children. My parents were also with us and in their late 70s (they were put on a top floor). So if you're wanting an accessible hotel, maybe this isn't for you. None of this was made clear on booking prior to our stay.

    9OmerPosted on: 4-15-2025

At first we were given an old room with a sewage smell and on top of that at 8:30 in the morning they started drilling near the room. After we threatened to move to another hotel they gave us new rooms near the pool and they were great rooms. Too bad it wasn't like that from the beginning.

    5UzandePosted on: 4-14-2025

    Passable

The options were limited.Could have done with a bit more variety.Flies and bugs in the breakfast area were off putting. Better measures need to be put in place give the hotel is surrounded by bodies of water. There could be more showers for those who have late flights to allow more than one person to shower at a time. The kids pool could do with a clean as there was a lot of black mould on the edges.

    7JodiePosted on: 4-9-2025

The kids pool was great for small kids up to maybe aged 8-9. We had a villa with a pool and a view of the beach and sunset and that really made it for us. Had we have been in a normal room I think I wouldn’t go back. The beach bar was pricey but ideal at happy hour for sunset.

The room needed updating, mould, paint chipped, dirty feeling (even though clean). It was the same as pictures but run down from this- the pictures seem 10 years out of date. It doesn’t have that luxury feel for a villa pool room. The staff spoke English but often didn’t understand anything beyond a very basic question and so we had to leave things unanswered.

Prime location. Excellent facilities. Free Activities. Great amenities

Sewerage / Rubbish smell in or near the building we were in. Room 1920.

    9AudreyPosted on: 3-5-2025

The location was great, you could walk to many different restaurants and shops. The beach and sea were very clean.the area was not too crowded, just enough people to create a great atmosphere.Pool was kept nice and clean.

The breakfast was good but you had to go early as at peak time it got chaotic, and the staff did not manage to keep up with food.the beach bar was very nice but the advertised fire show never happened.

    10JustinePosted on: 3-4-2025

Hotel was excellent and in a great location, rooms were large and comfortable. Staff friendly. Hotel was right on a beautiful beach. There was a good selection for breakfast. Everything was clean and tidy.

Bathroom needed some updating but other than this everything was great.
