Khao Lak Summer House Resort

Beautiful spacious bungalows, very clean with a lovely private pool.

- pool is great, it is possible to pay with credit card, very nice receptionist lady. 15 min walk to city center (village)

- nobody was responding my messages in booking - I recommend write them on WhatsApp- far from the bus station (McDonalds)- same towels all the stay

Booked last minute. The owner was super helpful and friendly, Room comfy, close to beach. All you need for a lovely stay in Khao Lak.

The bathroom had a bit of a smell and the water power wasn't great but thus could reflect the super hot weather and likely water shortages.

We were a little apprehensive on arrival, but after settling in were very happy. Summer House 1 is a little quirky with its fish, birds, cats, dogs, plants and knick knacks. It is located in a quiet area around 10 mins from a beach with sunbeds (turn right) and around 5 mins from bars/restaurants, shops etc (turn left). Our room was large and spacious with a fan and a/c. It was cleaned daily and we were given 2 bottles of water every day. There is a nice pool for cooling off.Buhm is very bubbly and friendly and together with her girls who do an excellent job making breakfast, which we enjoyed every day, and cleaning the rooms made our stay enjoyable.

The manager was very friendly and helpful. Great location and very clean rooms.

Breakfast could have been better, but that’s OK, we mostly ate out.

Short walking distance from the beach but yet a quiet and nice area, big houses by the nice pool with own terraces, beautiful garden, good scooters for rent, tour information, excellent service, good breakfast (included in the room price for me), the owner lady was super friendly and helpfull. Lovely cats and dogs. This was the best place I stayed in Thailand, booked for two nights but extended it. I miss this place.

The Resort is only a few minutes away from the beach and restaurants by feet. The room was big and clean. You can also rent a scooter there for a fair price. The staff was really friendly and helpful.

The AC was really loud, we couldn't sleep with AC. It stank in the bathroom.

Super friendly owner who helped me sort all my trips and transfers. Queen room was such a bargain. Great AC, fridge, big bathroom and comfy bed. Water on arrival in the fridge. About a 15 min walk to the main area and few mins to the beach. Would highly recommend!

200 baht to get to the bus stop

Very nice and quiet place. Rooms are small, but nice. Bed conformable and swimming in the pool goo also.

A bit far from main road

the most amazing lady runs the place, very helpful with everything.Room and bathroom are being cleaned every day and the pool in the back is a quiet spot to chill.

The location of this site is superb to access the beach quickly when the tide is low. But when the tide is high, one cannot go into the water from the nearest entry point (about 5-7 minutes walk away). Then during high tide, the next entry point to the beach is atleast a 25 minute walk away. So its useful to go with the tide timings in mind or have a cycle/scooter on rent. The latter is quite easily available also with the help of the host.

Staff was really nice and helpful. Room that they provided me was a bit smaller, but I could upgrade it for 100 baht per night. Furnitures are a bit old, but it is not a big issue. They cleaned the room every day.

There was a smell in the bathroom. Water pressure needs to be improved. Location is ten minutes from the beach and five minutes from the main road.

Super helpful owner, scooter rentals on site, lots of eating options nearby. Good value.

The host, Bum, was exceptionally helpful and friendly to us. We got fine breakfast and we could use the pool any time during our stay. It was a quiet and family-friendly place.

Wifi was available only close to the main entrance.

Beds are a bit too stiff.

Really lovely place that was super quiet, owner amd staff were so kind. Incredible value for money and location was really nice. Just quiet enough but close enough to everything. AC was good and breakfast menu was really good value. Round the corner is a fantastic restaurant serving gooooood Thai food called Mol, it is a MUST TRY! Beautiful flowers also. Pool was lovely and quite big with a little pool too so nice for children.

The only suggestion (which is mega minor!) Is that there needs to be a little lamp in the rooms as the main light is too much at night time. But that's being pedantic!

Great place for the price. The host was so kind and lovely. I got my dates mixed up and we only stayed one night but everything was fine. Breakfast was nice too and walk to the shops and restaurants was easy.

The Host was extremely accommodating and was very helpful. We had one or two minor issues when we arrived but they were quickly resolved We were about a 5 minute drive to the ‘centre’ and motorbikes were easily accessible.

We liked everything. Staff were lovely. The pool was small but lovely. The room was massive and cleaned daily. Bed was comfy. Air con was great. The whole place was nice and quiet. It was close to bars, restaurants and a beach. Just a really nice place.

Yes, there was the smell of camphor in the bathroom but it's better than the smell of drain so we didn't mind.
