Andamania Beach Resort, Khaolak

The hotel has a great location at the Beach and the staff is very friendly and helflugt.

Nothing to say here really, except that the hotel is older, so just expect a bit more word out demo, however this would not be a deal breaker for me for future stays.

Breakfast was fine but you do eat with a large group of other guests.

The Resort is rather dated now but that is reflected in the prices it charges. More effort should be made to reduce the Mosquitos which were very much present in our room. A Mosquito net was supplied.

Everything! The grounds and garden are beautiful. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The shuttle to the market is very convenient. The breakfast buffet is amazing. Rooms were beautiful. Pool is clean and the food at the restaurant is good!

I can’t recommend them highly enough. Based on reviews here it was the first of 4 stops we made in Thailand with our 2 children (9&11). We had one room and one bungalow. Both with aircon and well appointed. Rooms cleaned and fresh towels daily. Fantastic and friendly service and the food in the restaurant is excellent- served right next to the beach. Breakfast included and a lovely array of tasty food.A really gorgeous place to stay if you’re going to the Khao Lak area and amazing value

We picked this hotel because we love a beach for walking and this one is stunning you could walk along it for hours

The property is a little dated, we had no great expectations already having read previous reviews, put that to one side, the room was a great size and served its purpose

Older resort but perfect location on a quiet beach with everything you need!

Absolutely beautiful. Accommodation exceptional. Food was poor. Couldn't eat evening meal.

Food on menu was awful. Couldn't eat it. Restaurant staff did nothing to help.

Location, beach restaurant, beach ... The best place to spend relaxing time away from crowds.

5 min before breakfast time (7.25) we couldn't grab sth as we were rushing for a trip (they said it wasn't ready yet... ). But still I really loved that hotel.

It was a pleasure staying at Andamania. Big rooms, great location, beachfront, good food and good breakfast. We had a wonderful stay and if we are at Khao Lak again, we'll surely want to stay here only.

Beautiful resort, so quiet and peaceful and the staff were lovely.We absolutely loved it there. There are some nice restaurants along the beach.

The breakfast wasn’t the best. We would have preferred fresh juice and some pastries.

What a gem this hotel is, we discovered it whilst staying in its expensive next door neighbour last year. We were upgraded to a pool villa set close to the stunning beach and within the beautiful well kept gardens. The location on a stunning stretch of beach, great breakfasts and cheerful and helpful staff all add to the experience. It's an easy tuk tuk ride to the town and market and there is a selection of beach resturants a few minutes walk along the beach. Yes there are areas that are showing the age of the hotel but the good absolutely negates any small issues. We will return

If you are a beach lover, this hotel is perfect as it is right on a beautiful rustic beach with several beach bars/restaurants nearby.

Whilst the hotel grounds are well looked after, the hotel itself and rooms need a refurbishment. Breakfast was a big disappointment with limited fruit and no pastries. Coffee was in an urn as there was no coffee machine which I would expect at a hotel of this calibre.The hotel is rather soulless as is the beach bar/restaurant with no effort to encourage use e,g. no special menus or happy hours which meant most people ate/drunk elsewhere at night (which could be a problem for some as the hotel is remote and the town can only be reached by taxi or hotel offered tuk tuk for which there is a charge)

We loved our stay at Andamania. The grounds are just beautiful, with so many lovely flowers and palm trees. Our room was comfortable and very large, with the bathroom and suitcase storage & wardrobe area separated from the main part. We enjoyed the view of the gardens from our patio. Breakfast was wonderful with plenty of selection, including fresh fruit, yogurt, made to order eggs and bacon. The beach restaurant for lunch and dinners had a good array of Thai choices as well as some Western offerings like pastas and salads. The beach was nice for swimming and for walking, and we also enjoyed the lovely pool every afternoon.

The one thing we didn't like was the noisy air conditioner. During the night we often had to turn it off in order to sleep.

Just a little far from main shops but not a problem as we had a hire car

If you’re looking for a beach holiday you won’t get better. Rooms were very spacious and air con worked well. Amazing beach, beach bar and restaurant located on the sand, which is something else when having your evening meal. Although it wasn’t the beach felt private, never more than a couple of people strolling down it at any one time. There are also other bars and restaurants that you can walk to down the beach. Staff were very friendly and food was exceptional. Regular tuk tuk service into town was really helpful. Although the hotel was fully booked it never felt at all busy. Mainly German guest here when we stayed feels like British are really missing out.

It was our second time at Andamania,we absolutely love this place,beautiful beach,great rooms,lovely staff,amazing garden.

The pond was filthy,green with algae, we felt sorry for the fish..we also saw a dead koi fish..,I really hope management will fix this.I found it strange that there is not a single coffee machine in the hotel. It's not a big investment and I think people love an occasional espresso or capuccino with breakfast/lunch..
