Pros +
- The rooms were clean, comfortable and new, with seaside view. The staff was kind and they even picked us up with our luggage from the boat and brought our luggage to the boat on the way back as well.
- Reception counter person very helpfull. They have staff taking our luggage to and from jetty. Very helpfull all of them. There is nice view also from restorant at the top of the building, though currently not in operation. The resorts value for money, nice view from the resorts.
- This place pleasantly surprised me in several ways. The location is excellent—right at the end of Long Beach—with a beautiful view from both the room and balcony. I initially thought I had booked a chalet, but it turned out to be a hotel room, which was actually much better. The room had an electric kettle, coffee, and bottled water, and it was cleaned daily with fresh towels and refills of water and coffee. The staff were very friendly and proactive. For example, the cleaning team noticed an issue with the door lock that I hadn’t even picked up on. A janitor came by immediately, confirmed the problem, and within 15 minutes had replaced it with a brand new lock. Super efficient! The room was clean, and I had no issues with bugs or mosquitoes. It was excellent value for money, and I ended up extending my stay to a total of 10 days. Thank you for a great stay!
Cons -
- The wifi did not work in the rooms, only at the reception. A mini fridge would also have been nice.
- Need to provide proper stairs access to rooms. Slippery during raining.
- When checked in we were told that we can only pay in cash, which would have been okay if we knew before going to the island! We offered to pay in half amount in EUR and half in MYR because we didn’t want to run out of cash but they didn’t accept. I also offered to pay them on PayPal or bank transfer but that was not an option too. They told us we need to walk to the fishing village through the jungle path to go to an ATM, which we didn’t want to do as we only had 1,5-2 days on the island so we wanted to enjoy the beach. At the end my payment through booking went through but be aware that the communication about the payment may not be precise and it creates a bit of frustration. Also, I didn’t want anyone to enter the room as I was there only for a short time so no cleaning was necessary but the cleaners ignored my “do not disturb” sign and they entered. I went there and found them and told them to go, but when I left they entered again!I usually don’t comment on that but breakfast was below average. First of all, it’s served quite late, 9-11am. When I asked if I can get anything a bit earlier because I was going to dive, they just said “no”. An omelette (that was good), 2 slices of toasted bread, 1 portion of butter (we asked for a second and they said they didn’t have), 1 portion of marmalade (covered in dust, which would be fine but was served INSIDE the plate with the rest of the food). You’d expect some kind of fresh fruit, etc. I understand it’s the beginning of the season but if you can’t offer a decent breakfast then don’t have it as an option!

It is in a beautiful location and an amazing view from the balcony. The bed was very comfortable, and the houseskipper was coming in every morning to clean it .
I really have mixed feelings about this place! The view as everyone says is amazing, and they helped us get an early morning boat transfer and helped with carrying our stuff from and to the jetty (it’s on the other side of the beach). But don’t forget to communicate on WhatsApp for the coordination! All in all, an okay stay but with some hassle with the payment.

Location by the beach within Dereck access.
Property is up in a hill, you have to take many steps and a hill to get to it(this hill give it amazing view) if you have bad knees I will not recommend. And travel light because is a bit of a walk fromWhere the boat drop you off, the staff was kind to help us carry the luggage from the jetty to the hotel. Bring your own towels, the towels they are are not very clean and some smell. Do not pay extra for the breakfast it was bad! There are many restaurants with decent breakfast and good food. Overall staff was helpful, is not worth what you pay.
The location very close to Long Beach is really nice, the walk isn’t as bad as some others are reviewing. The guys help carrying your luggage which is really helpful. Very nice view from the balcony.
At night the aggregate made a lot of noise. The rooms are very noisy.
1. Staff were excellent although its the monsoon season and knowing that we were the only guest on the island.2. The entire place and rooms were beyond measures and perfect for our purpose of honeymoon and very safe and private.3. We were so blessed and thankful especially to chef Ali for his delicious meal and his hospitality.4. It’s definitely one of our many favorite island now and will return soon.
All is good!?
Really nice rooms with fantastic views.
The staff could help more with information about what to do and how in the island. They were friendly but their English is quite limited. A bit pricey but there are no many decent options around.
The staffs were friendly and helpful. They helped you carry your stuffs. You can request them to welcome and send you at the jetty. Even to ask them to send hotel foods to your room.
The stairs. I think the hotel should change its name to Tangga dan Laut. Tangga means stairs, laut means beach in Malay. You only find peace (Aman) in your room, but not on the way to your room.
What a beautiful view, great comfortable rooms and wonderful staff! Loved the location at a quieter and. Ore beautiful end of the beach surrounded by friendly locals and good vibes. And the walk to the room is a good bit of incidental exercise to counteract all the relaxing!
Bathrooms a little dates and wifi is the rooms can be patchy by why do you need wifi when you have the perhentian islands
Bad
Poor facilities.. no laundry bag, no TV, no fridge, no safety .. not recommendate.. room was expensive comparing to the facilities that i got during my stay there... really poor
Clean, tidy, has hot shower, view is amazing, very peaceful as it is located on a hill a bit slightly away from the beach bar etc so u will have a good sleep at night without the loud noise from the beach
U have to hike a little bit to reach your room so i dont recommend elderly people to stay here
Very comfortable position in Long Beach, very gentle staff
Room dirty and extremely wet, towels dirty
Location at the end of Long Beach with great views and good options for eating/drinking and boat trips close by. Communal area used for breakfast (shared with next door D Rock resort) good for sheltering from storms, playing games with family etc Tractor took luggage to and from the jetty to the hotel and staff carried bags to rooms which was welcome in the heat and up the steps. We arrived early and luggage stored at Reception until we were able to access rooms. Comfortable beds in rooms with air con and separate en suite with good shower.
Staff always present and friendly but seemed like they didn't really know what to do. With a few minor improvements this would be a wonderful place to stay - new towels, additional towels, a bin in the bedroom, better systems at breakfast - often no cutlery, cups, plates, unclear what additional options can be cooked by the chef on request alongside those available in the small buffet. This is a very expensive place to stay and not good value for money. We chose it at it was literally the only availability other than tents or shacks on the Perhentians for our group on the dates we were planning.
Location
Low Cleanliness, missing tv, missing WiFi, missing mini fridge
Staff were helpful. Good location. Beautiful view. Clean, comfy room.
A little overpriced. Rooms are a bit small.
Location
Breakfast not good.Bath towels did not dry the body and were filled with detergent. Very expensive considering the conditions
The room was okay.
Pretty poor communication on the staff’s end which in the end cost us our deposit. We had to leave before 8AM and as there really was poor communication from the staff, we never received our deposit back.
View from balcony
No TV, no fridge, low quality towel, the room is small, need to hike on trail with no proper steps. A cheapskate hotel with overpriced room rate, the room does not worth the money paid. Some hotel staff does not understand english or malay.
