Coral Bay Ferry Terminal To 30 Second Distance , Beach View Hotel, so Nice Places , Resturant Food Are Good.

This resort is perfect!!! Not too close to the party town (it was ideally quiet) but not too far from a nice beach and good food. It’s also SUCH a relief to be sleeping where your dive shop is. It made everything so much easier. The people are so kind and helpful. Diyaa was my instructor for Advanced Certification and she was fantastic. She’s so professional, knowledgeable about the marine life and passionate about her work. I really loved everything about this resort and the people that worked there.

We ended up staying an additional night, so that should tell you how much we loved everything!? Ombak was the perfect choice in a perfect location—and by perfect, I mean paradise. The room was comfortable and exactly as described. The entire staff at Ombak was friendly and welcoming, but I have to give a special shoutout to Farah. She is the embodiment of hospitality: always smiling, polite, kind, funny, friendly, easy to talk to, and incredibly professional. She’s the best ‘welcome to Perhentian’ you could ask for!?

The food at Ombak for lunch and dinner was very good—great taste and variety. However, the breakfast options felt quite limited and could definitely be improved to match the quality of the other meals. That said, overall the food was amazing?

Staff is great and the location is perfect, close enough to walk to Long Beach but on the more intimate side.

Breakfast could use a bit more variety and overall be better. Especially because restaurant food is good so disappointing that breakfast isn’t.

The breakfast is not really good but the staff is very friendly, especially the receptionist. The rooms don’t have much light but they are clean and comfy.

Breakfast poor- limited choice, chew ingredients, most items on menu unavailable, cold coffee. Cleaning of room poor- sand in shower remained there for 5 days, no duvet- instead military style blanket. Dark rooms. Beautiful beach and locations.

It was one of the best resorts in the area, but leaves a lot to be desired compared to the hotels inland. The room was rather small, with little access to light and fresh air - I undestand it is a beach resort, but this was my feeling...

Small room with little light as curtains had to be closed all the time due to privacy. No possibility to keep mosquitos 100% out, and naturally sand getting in.Beware the weather when you cross to the Island, and from the mooring to the Resort, not easy to carry a suitcase, better take backsack...

Very sad that it was like this because the resort is beautiful and the staf is really nice !

Bill and his co-workers were very clear and helpful. They gave us advise on things to do and offered to set us up with boats. When we needed tea or coffee in the afternoon, the staff would deliver to our room.

We wish we'd stayed a few extra days.

The staff arranged an excellent snorkeling tour for us with Man, a really great tour guide/boat skipper.

Loved my stay here! The room was comfortable and the location perfect! Staff were very welcoming and helpful...thank you for your help with the flight changes! The movie nights were a nice addition!

Poor options for vegetarian food in the restaurant. The restaurant was expensive! There are cheaper options along the beach who have more options for non meat/fish eaters!

After a about 45 minute boatride from Kuala Besut that I was able to book with Ombak I arrived at Coral beach jetti. Ombak Resort is conviniendly located just next to the jetti at the beach so it was easy to reach the resort even with much luggage. Once I arrived at the reception I was pleasantly greated by the very friendly and helpfull staff. I was able to check-in befor the usually check-in time (3PM) without additional charge. The room was clean but overall a bit dated and rather dark. Especially the bathroom could need a renovation. The room is equiped with a TV, a hear dryer, a fridge, a water cooker, AC and a fan. There is a safe too but it is very small and a camera, laptop or tablet will not fit. Wifi is aviable at the whole resort but it dosen't allways work and it's slow. At the bathroom there is toilet paper, shampoo and soap aviable. To save resources roomcleaning is avaible on request before 11AM. To save the environment Ombak uses glass refillable bottles that you can fill up for free at the restaurant. Unfortunately you are not allowed to put those bottles into the fridge because they could brake. Because of the warm weather the water gets quite hot quickly. To produce electricity Ombak uses diesel generators. These are quite loud and you can hear, and sometimes smell them very well. Though the resort there are many beautiful plants and trees. There are many staff member who clean the resort from sand, branches and leaves. Sometimes they burn the leaves an branches which produces much smoke which sometimes gets into the room and smells bad. Because of the moist temperatures there are a lot mosquitos. To prevent bites, Ombak has some mosquito repellent aviable at the room and at the restaurant which helps a bit. At the room there is also a mosquito net over the bed. Ombak consists of a Restaurant at beachfront, a dive center where you can book diving- or snorkeling trips, a little shop for the essentials and of curse the resort itsself.

Clean, very welcoming staff especially the receptionist , I like my room.

Restaurant prices were a bit pricey and they wasn't so much variety. The restaurant staff need better training regarding serving orders .

The room was beautiful and the food was delicious. The location is honestly ideal, the best on the island. The hotel staff really made the stay for me. They were so friendly and helpful.

I love Ombak! The staff were super helpful and very friendly. The rooms were nice, clean and spacious and had a vent so it doesn't get stuffy. The two people at the reception were really nice and took care of us and ensured we are safe and sorted out in all aspects. Great stay! Great experience!

The cafe put us off, three quarter of the items were not available and some items were being cancelled after we order and pay as well, the food quality of the dishes that were available were okay... not the tastiest.

The restaurant is significantly overpriced compared to local standards. Additionally, the staff misled us during their advertised happy hour and failed to apply the promised discount. Disappointing experience overall.
