Bad wifi. Very bad. And maybe the inside deco of the bedroom… could be better….

Most quiet, clean and beautiful place on Perhentian Islands that also provides sun lounges/beds while no other places at the same strip to.The staff is very professional and very kind too. Absolute gem of a hotel!

Staff were amazing and the hotels location is perfect. Long Beach is a fabulous swimming beach and lots to do to keep you busy

Great location directly at the beach. A daily free cocktail served in the afternoon. Cozy bungalows with private garden. Delicious breakfast.

Way too expensive for what you get. No great value for money. Dinner super expensive compared to other places around.

The smell of gasoline coming from other nearby hotel made at some time of the days the air unbreathable

Great location, very nice & luxurious cottages. The staff is very welcoming. The chef Waqar took really good care of my family as he prepared delicious breakfast each day. Philip at the bar had been amazing as well

The final leg of transportation once we reach the island by the boat, one more transfer to Bubu boat and then walking through the beach to the resort is tiring. I wish they had a wooden or rubber ramp till some point in the sea where the boat could drop the guests and then they could walk with their luggage

The private room is a real advantage! And the private garden too!Very close to anything and clean!!The staff was soooooooo nice and always ready to help!The BuBu Villa offers many private services like scuba diving and taxi boat only for their guest which is very comfortable!The food at the hotel was awesome: breakfast, lunch and dinner, anytime! The complementary services were also awesome!I will definitely come back!!

The WiFi the was working properly in the room but I didn’t tell about that to the staff unfortunately.

The villa we rented was impeccably clean and exceptionally comfortable. The staff were courteous and attentive, making our stay pleasant and hassle-free.

We found the design bathroom area to be problematic. The bathroom area featured a glass door, and both the shower and toilet had clear glass doors. This lack of privacy made it uncomfortable for family members to use the facilities. Installing solid doors would greatly enhance the comfort and usability of these spaces.

Very beautiful room with a pretty garden, and it was helpful to have a washing area for foot and shower after the beach. We enjoyed your nice breakfast in peace every morning.We were staying very easy to have staffs who were very kind and friendly. It was very nice to have an evening cocktail with canape (free charge) at the beach.

The beach is excellent, the room is quite ok which is only has one bath room for a whole family. That is so not convenient. The toilet is outside which is hot and lots of mosquitos!The restaurant food and drink are great and beautiful presentation. The staff at the restaurant was very helpful!The receptionist is very unhelpful, no listen when we had things to clarify, We finally settle but the should do very much better.

Bathroom

The hotel and it's facilities are amazing and very comfortable. Among the very best where I have stayed. The settings of the Perhentians Islands are world class with amazing snokelling, coral, sharks and turtles. The thing that made it all stick together were the staff. Amazing service food and drinks and extremely welcoming. Couldn't recommend a better place to stay.Stayed as a family with 6 adults.

It has all amenities but it’s not a luxury villa, even though prices are on the higher side. We had a nice time though.

Lovely room and full of privacy but alas couldn’t really enjoy the outdoors ( the room has an outer wall and door and private garden) as at night there is an army of blood thirsty mosquitoes and we didn’t pack any mosquito coils. Room was fully equipped with all amenities and a safety box. Comes with free breakfast and also a cocktail and snack (4-6pm). A little pricey but it’s on Long Beach and with free beach towels and sheltered huts or so on the beach.

Absolutely, one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. My stay in the Garden Villa room at Bubu Villa was truly magical. However, the highlight has to be the staff. Bubu Villa boasts the most experienced and friendliest staff I've ever encountered. I've never been treated like royalty at this price point, nor at any other accommodations in Perhentian.You must take advantage of the arranged snorkelling and island boat trips. There is a wonderful French tour guide named Ibtissem. I went with my partner, who cannot swim, and Ibti essentially became her instructor, making her feel comfortable and safe in the water (she held her hands and was her private swim instructor). She taught us a great deal about Perhentian and its marine ecosystem. We enjoyed the tours so much that we went on multiple excursions. Having an international tour guide was a strategic move by the Hotel, as she was well-spoken and had a bubbly personality, enhancing our experience tremendously. In fact, I'm planning to have my future wedding on the island. I want my entire family to experience snorkelling and tours hosted by Ibtissem (alongside Saufi & Khayrun). There is one particular site with some of the largest coral ecosystems, which Ibtissem can guide you to. This site has to be the best coral ecosystem on the West Malaysian Coast (I know this because I've visited other destinations like Redang and Tioman, and they come nowhere near as close).In summary, Bubu Villa offers an extraordinary experience, thanks to its exceptional staff and facilities. Ibtissem, in particular, stands out as one of the best tour guides I've ever met. Her expertise and friendly demeanour made our trips memorable and enjoyable. I can't wait to return! Bubu Villa employs international staff, unlike the majority of other accommodations.

NOTHING BAD BUT I have post-holiday blues right now. I will be pre-booking my annual island getaway trips every year and will bring along all of my friends and family (I will only stay BuBu Villa). Every penny spent on this vacation was worth it. For those working long hours at an office or living in a city, this is your destination to completely unwind. Perhentian Long Beach is part of my top three beaches – truly a magical beach that's beautiful. It's technically a bay, and the beach is shallow, stretches far out, and is very clean. I wish I was back on the boat, on a very sunny, cloudless day, with the cute Perhentian sea gulls flying and chirping in the background. I recall exactly how I felt seeing my girlfriend learning how to swim alongside Ibtissem guiding her – truly an unforgettable experience.Breakfast was fantastic, especially the French toast, and I thoroughly enjoyed my coffee. I would like to specifically thank the staff, Nasir and Waqar, who served us like kings around the clock. We enjoyed our daily free drinks and snacks, and the receptionist made check-in and check-out smooth and hassle-free.I highly recommend everyone to book their snorkelling trips through Bubu Villa/Resorts. Avoid third-party charters and opt for tours arranged by Ibtissem for an unparalleled experience. My previous experiences with other boat tours do not even come close. The local tour guides are rather timid and not as friendly; they just park the boat and shout for you to come back once the time is up.My partner and I were almost in tears when we had to leave. We had pre-booked a stay at the Marriott Hotel but would choose Bubu Villa over the international franchise any day. Bubu Villa ticks all the boxes, but the tour guide and staff at the reception and kitchen (kudos to BBQ chef, Alamine) make this place the number one hotel in all of Perhentian (even throughout all of Malaysia). You're paying for an unforgettable experience and exceptional service.

We had a wonderful stay at Bubu Village Hotel!The staff were extremely attentive, fulfilling our requests within minutes, and the reception followed up diligently.A special mention goes to Nasser and Vaka. Nasser delighted us with an exceptional orange juice, while Vaka made the best omelette in the world. Their deep kindness touched us, and we looked forward to seeing them each morning to start our day in the best possible way.Thank you again for this unforgettable journey - we will gladly return as soon as we have the opportunity!

Very good hotel and amazing staff. Naseer took very good care of us and knew what I needed before I even knew myself. The location is great, on what I would say is the nicest beach on the islands and while not overboard, theres plenty of things just near the hotel - restaurants, dive centers etc so it doesn't get boring

The location, the food, the service, everything was superb. Much better than expected and we booked at a discounted price which was totally worth the money. We had a great server, his name was Waqa. The drinks and food were absolutely delicious! Our family loved it here and its definitely located in the best part of Long Beach. Entering the property, it felt like walking into a secret garden. If you’re into a peace and quiet holiday, Bubu Villa is the perfect place.

Just one person who denied our welcome drinks. Our fault because we didnt redeem it on the first day. Its just the way he said it ‘yesterday is yesterday, today is today’ no big deal because we got the free cocktail drinks plus welcome drinks later that evening from a lady there, we didnt get a chance to ask her name. But she was very helpful.
