People at the restaurant were dancing on top of tables and screaming to songs at 7.30pm. We wanted to have a chill dinner, couldnt even talk to each other because it was so loud. Guests next to us were really annoyed as well. We kindly asked the waiters if they could tell them to be quiet but they said no they re buying drinks. So money is way more important to them than satisfied guests..

Perfect Location: The resort is right on Long Beach, one of the best beaches in Perhentian. Super convenient for beach access, sunsets, and water activities.Balcony Room View: Our room had a beautiful balcony with a direct view of the beach and ocean — waking up to that was definitely a highlight.Breakfast: While the breakfast spread was small, every item was fresh and well-prepared. Good quality over quantity. We actually looked forward to it every morning.

Room Size vs. Price: The room felt quite small, especially considering the premium price point.Ant Infestation: One major issue was the jungle ants that invaded the room. They were everywhere — even inside our luggage. The staff responded quickly and disinfected the room when informed, but it was disappointing and unacceptable for the rate we paid.Water Policy: Only two small bottles of water were provided per day. If you needed more, you had to purchase it separately — something that feels stingy for a beachfront resort at this price.

Location, clean and air conditioned rooms, friendly and helpful staff who go out of their way to make sure guests are happy. Breaky was yummy with a wide variety available. The 4pm cocktail was a special treat.

Some guests were smokers in nearby public spaces, especially on the sun beds

Right on the best part of the beach near the jetty. One of the only places on the beach that serves alcohol and has a good happy hour plus free drinks . Lovely breakfast and fab staff . We would like to make a special mention for Khayrun the waiter, Wei and Miss Ong on the desk. But all the staff were amazing.

Nice room, great staff, excellent location. Best place in Long beach. And they have beer :)We also liked breakfast and restaurant in geneal. They have sunbeds for free.

We had a lovely stay at BuBu!The service was friendly and professional, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was a real highlight—fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. Free cocktails during Happy Hour are great.The location on Long Beach is absolutely stunning—truly a slice of paradise.That said, we did find the overall price quite high for what was offered (but there are limited alternatives in the Perhentians).We chose not to book any snorkeling trips through the hotel, as the prices were about four times higher than other options available. The same went for the restaurant, which was disappointing as we would have loved to enjoy more meals there.

Compared to three years back the beach and water quality has been impacted by the nonchalant attitude to the environment by the neighboring properties and the jetty

Sun beds, clean beach towels, facilities are clean. Complementary drinks 4-6pm. Property is on the beach, decent breakfast. Room have balcony. Meet and greet service at Besut jetty is really convenient. They assisted us with car parking and luggage. Island is nice, marine life is amazing, beach is clean. Plenty activities around, sea is nice and warm and clean. People are very friendly, and you feel well looked after. Compliments for that.

Property is Overpriced even for European standard. Small room, bad wifi connection.Restaurant is nice but overpriced, plenty similar choices in few minutes walking distance you can eat for less than half price.Private boat transfer is pricey but not on time (to and from island experienced delay) which is annoying for the price you pay. Property does not offer alternative transport and doesn’t wanna help you book it. SPA was not available but advertised. Activities arranged by hotel are overpriced comparing to other operators on the island. Arrived on island at 12:30, check in was not available until 3pm, which is stated however this is first time i have experienced hotel is not giving room 1-2hrs earlier. Definitely nice island, will come back again, but we doubt we will stay at Bubu resort again.

Restaurant is nice but A bit overpriced vs what is offered just near all along the beach.Expensive transportation arranged by the hotel from Kuala Besut to Bubu Resort : private transports but they do not give a full overview of other transportations means if you want to pay less. For daily trip, few offers compared to what is proposed from others in Long Beach

I like the breakfast. The chef and the other kitchen crew were friendly. The sea view from the cafe was so relaxing and calm.

- expensive for Malaysia and island basically upper European price - non transparent in there offering, booked a snorkel trip for 60 MYR which turned out to be 100 MYR because they do not include snorkels in there proclaimed offering

It really seems to be in paradise!The position is fantastic, excellent for the night and close to any possible tour! The garden villas are amazing…it is really like having your small world in the nature! Great food, great assistance and service! Would totally reccomend since it is even better than poctures!!!!

First, was the amazing service the young Asian man gave us he was just welcoming and amazing, I had lost one of my bags and he was not leaving no stone unturned to find it, and he did had my bag returned to me the following day, what an incredible person he is, I’m just sorry I forgot his name! It’s was a beautiful family room we had where our adult daughter got to have time alone in her own room and we had our’s, the balcony was beautiful, however at night the mosquitoes attacked us within (5) minutes that we came off the balcony and jumped into the shower

Hotel is quite simple but nice. Rooms are clean and well furnished. Personnel attentive to requests.Breakfast is very good.Happy hour from 4pm to 6pm with complementary drink. Drinks at the bar are super.The location in Long Beach is great, with lots of nice local restaurants and possibility to enjoy every day different boat trips of the islands.

- WiFi seems to work well only next to the reception, otherwise is very unstable and weak- Restaurant and in general services provided by the hotel are too expensive - Limited provision of water (only two small bottles per day). Despite the possibility to buy it at the shops along the beach, this might be better taken care of by the hotel, considering the high price of stay- Transportation from the airport to the island: On the way to the island, I wanted to book everything in advance with the hotel, but for road transport I was only offered a limousine (for 5 people) at a very high cost. Since I was alone, I asked for other proposals by email but did not receive any reply. Besides, the cost of boat transport was charged in advance at 80 ringgit per person. On the way back from the island, the cost of the boat was only 35 ringgit per person and this difference was not clarified. Also, at Kuala Jetty, a taxi to the airport was arranged for me without informing me about it and related price. Despite that, everything went well and smoothly

The food at the resort restaurant “SANTAI” is amazing! The best so far on the island.Staff is friendly, communicate well.Everything is spot on, clean, well maintained.The garden in the middle of the resort, beautiful.Loving the sunbed area, ample amount of sunbed for the guest. Crystal clear water, the beach is amazing. Soft sandy beach, and it goes deep, without any little rocks or dead corals. Very soft to the feet. Very near to the jetty, which is perfect.

Upper floor level Unfortunately I got the room facing to MIMPI Resort (opposite Bubu)Still got the sea view, but in a 45 degree view.

Wonderful place to stay for a holiday. The staff were excellent, especially Ali and Ibtissem that go out of their way to make it a memorable holiday. The island drops booked with Bubu was very well managed. Boatman and Ibti took their time to explain and locate the turtles for us. Spa and breakfast was great too. Thank you Bubu!

Good vibes of staff. On beach with lots of other options. Good breakfast and also afternoon drink and canapes given.

The air con can be cold.
