Pros +
- Good location, clean and had a nice breakfast
- Location was good, close to the bus station and easy 10-20 min walk to nearby sites
- Excellent location bike friendly hotel as we finished the Shimanami Kaido. Near an excellent public bath too!
Cons -
- A little outdated
- Limited breakfast
- We stayed in a smoking room because it was cheaper than a non-smoking room but it was fairly disgusting. (It's definitely worth paying the extra money for a non-smoking room if you're a non -smoker!) Totally our bad but just warning others in case!

Great location for renting bicycles and sorting luggage transfer. Friendly staff, simple hotel, has everything you need!

The location is perfect! We were doing the Shikoku pilgrimage & it felt like such a great centralized spot with tons of food options all around. One of the more comfortable business hotels we have stayed at!
Perfect stay directly opposite the ending bike return point of Shimanani cycling route. Friendly and warm staff. 2min walk to a very good local restaurant run by an elderly couple with big servings.
A little confusing on Google maps and went to wrong building initially.
We were doing the 88 temples and were able to stay two nights this hotel is conveniently located near the train station so we were able to go out to Temple 59 and easily come back and then again return to 59 the next day. There are plenty of restaurants nearby as well.
+ I was able to send my luggage from Onomichi to Imabari, directly to the hotel+ good room for a one night stay+ close to the station and bike rental shop+ several convenience stores nearby - a bit warm and no adjusting available
affordable, very close to the station
you have to buy drinking water from the vending machineroom is a bit small
Convenient location close to the station. Everything is walkable. Bicycles can be parked in the lobby or even taken to the room. Perfect for people doing the Shimanami Kaido Cycling route.
Good location, great value, wonderful breakfast, helpful staff.
One elevator for the whole building but I never had to wait too long.
It is close to the station.
It is run down, the smoking rooms don't state that they are smoking on Booking and smell awful.
Decent hotel for a short layover after completing Shimanami Kaido. The hotel allowed you to take your bike with you to keep it in the room, which was great if you didn’t manage to return your rental bike on time.
It was just what we needed for a one night stay. Small room but comfortable. Bathroom had a bathtub which was great
Bed was a little smaller than we thought but good size for Japan and comfortable. Hard to find on Google maps as it took us to the old building. We only found it by driving around the block.
The location of the hotel is excellent if you are doing the Shimanini Kaido bike ride as it’s close by to the JR train station, info centre, major bike rental return and the bus stop if you are taking the bus either way Onomichi/ Imabari. Clean hotel, laundry facilities, microwave if you need.
For us the breakfast wasn’t worth the money. My husband got the Japanese breakfast but didn’t eat much. I got the European one and didn’t eat much. So if you’re a bit fussy, just get something from the 7/11!
location near station.
it feels old. not fresh carpets.
Nothing special, but the room was comfortable and the staff was helpful and friendly
Don't stay at this hotel !!!
Hotel is suppose to provide a good night rest when on holiday. The hotel decided to centrally managed their heating/cooling system and set to heating.. We cannot adjust the setting to our preferred temperature. Room was hot n stuffy. Told by front office to sleep with the window open. First time experiencing such treatment.
Excellent location for bicycle drop off and departure the next morning by train. It was good to be able to open the window for fresh air.
The aircon temperature control didn’t appear to be working, but the window opened so we were able to stay cool
