Shimanami PRIME HOTEL IMABARI

Excellent location, seems like a new hotel. Facilities are immaculate. Room was very comfortable. Very affordable. It was a great place to unwind from the long bike ride.

Brand new clean place, stayed there after finishing the Shimanami Kaido, great location, great breakfast, staff very, very helpful.

location is close to the station . we had great view from our bed to see the mountains. we could open the window to get fresh air during the night. no need for aircon at this time of the year. everything was extremely clean. the breakfast had a wide variety including tasty japanese fair, which not all hotels are doing. it was value for money. we also liked the welcome beer :) and the free coffee and beverages. staff was very friendly

they were not flexible with the check in time,but we could leave our luggage after early arrival. the command of english could be better. but as we had no problems at all, this are minor points

Onsen baths

Rooms were particularly small, breakfast was ok.

Perfect location from which to start the Shimanami Kaido ride. Comfortable rooms great staff. Recommend!

The hotel is located within the main town area. We appreciate the use of the overflow carpark and wonderful staff.

The room is on the smaller side.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Welcome beverage was a nice touch. We came here before biking the Shimanami kaido and you can tell that lots of people were doing the same. Very bike friendly with racks inside and outside. Laundry facilities were a welcome addition!

The location was perfect, so close to the train/bus station. The hotel facilities were very clean and I enjoyed the onsen each day. Breakfast had many choices and was tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Nothing, everything was great.

This was our stop after Shimanami Kaido cycling and it had everything we needed! Place to park our bicycles indoor, a big bath on the top floor, laundry room and clean nice size room. Free beer was also a plus!

The pillow was a bit hard

Great location for us, we dropped our bikes at train station. Breakfast had many options, both Japanese and western! Onsun was a bonus as well. Appreciated welcome beverage!

Rooms are small.

Location is close to JR station and bike rental spot for Shimanami Kaido. Felt like a business hotel with a tighter room, but everything felt comfortable enough. Staff helped me ship my luggage to my next hotel in Onomichi (both had to be part of the Sagawa shipping network). They asked for the hotel, filled out the form, and contacted them to confirm my stay. The whole process gave me great peace of mind. Staff was able to communicate using basic English or using a translator app.There is an onsen upstairs apparently, but I didn't get a chance to use it.

Location to Imabari Castle is a bit of a longer walk, but still doable. The streets get very dark at night, but it's also quiet.

The staff was nice.. and the hotel was close to central station

Small room

I thought the room was beautiful and just perfect fit for a solo traveler. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Also the sauna was very nice.

Excellent location - a short walk from bus terminal. Restaurants close by - great location. Rooms were very modern and clean. Staff was extremely accommodating. We traveled with a large group for the Shimanami Kaido bike ride and it was an excellent starting location. Can walk to the castle from hotel. Breakfast was excellent - lots of variety of foods.

Like the design, very convenient to the station and shimanami kaido, friendly staff, decent breakfast (but lots of options), coin laundry worked well, nice room. I was sick when I arrived and just laid in bed for like 12 hours and it was thankfully very comfy.

Coin laundry could use a currency converter machine.

New hotel with large and good bath and sauna on top floor. Very clean. Good breakfast and location.

Only minus point would be that room was a little small for two. Bed is big but takes up most of floor space.
