Pros +
- The view is awesome everywhere in the resort and we felt really chilled in it. All the staff was atentionne
- Quiet, relaxing and over looking view
- We booked it in the time that it's not peak season, so it feels like we rented the whole place. It was so peaceful, and the view was amazing. The place and the staff are great. It's clean. My family and I love the place.
Cons -
- The swimming pool was not clean. I was very excited when I saw it in the website but when we reached there it was not clean. The water was not clear ?
- The location is just a bit far from the city proper but you won't have a problem because they always assisted us in getting a tricycle going downtown.
- Seriously understaffed or staff seemed to have too many other functions. They were friendly but undermined. The access and location was not ideal and the advertisement was misleading saying that it was a private beach.

A beautiful place overall. We had a great stay. It is a lovely, relaxing spot with gorgeous views. The staff were helpful and friendly. The size of the room was really nice as well as the little seating area outside.
The water pressure in the shower can improve. The area that leads into the sea could be neater and safer. There was a lot of debris and a half-constructed railing leading into the water. It felt a bit forgotten.
Nice off the beaten path place with stunning views, nice pool, and great food/drinks.
If you're looking to be in the middle of the action, this is not the place. But if youre looking for peace and quiet, you'll like it. Its a 5 minute tuk tuk ride to Alona. 200 pesos
Beautiful cliffside view of the ocean. Staff was accomodating. Away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded areas. Very quiet and peaceful. TV channels had a lot of selections when Wifi was working. Good spot for snorkling, however get in the water at your own risk. Ample vehicle parking. Onsite had decent selection of food and drinks. For the price, budget travellers will appreciate the place.
1. Internet was intermitent. 2. Shower drain issues. when showering water was ponding. 3. Linen were old. 4. No beach, access to water thru stairs. Needed safety lines and floating markers to prevent rip tide pull. 5. A/C filter was filty, cleaned it myself, became more efficient and cool air flow. 6. Bring your own shampoo and body wash. 7. Place been around, rundown. 8. Quite away from the main road.
Right on the cliff overlooking the ocean. Friendly staff , good food and drinks. Beds were comfortable.
The atmosphere was nice and quiet, very quaint. It has the best views and having the restaurant on site was nice. Even though the resort is away from the town, it was not difficult to request for transportation.
There was not much to like, but if I had to put something, it would be the limited options at the bar., and probably would not order mixed drinks. Stick with beer and wine.
Nice location, polite staff, good food
Tiny ants inside the room, 2nd bed had spring mattress
Gorgeous location and views. Attentive staff.
WiFi didn’t really work in my room. No hot water.
Loved the tranquility of the resort, close enough to Alona. We hired a car so getting around was easy. Restaurant serves tasty food and is fairly priced. You can snorkel off the cliff and the sea is beautifully clear in deeper water away from the grass
Only negative was the air-conditioning in our room never cooled beyond 28 degrees. Bottle of water in the room per guest was missing during our stay. Also perhaps a few kayaks to rent at the resort would be fun- not a negative, just a suggestion
Good Points : Quiet and relaxing. Serene and not a busy accommodation. What to improve : 1. Basic amenities like kettle and blowdryer should be included. Even small and cheap hotels in Europe have this in their Standard Rooms.2. Something off-smelling in the toilet. I assume it’s the Drainage. The water coming out from the shower has a smell too. 3. Food Variety at the restaurant. Knowing that you are far from the main road and stores, they should have an extended choices of meals. We ordered food one night and our serving was quite small whilst the foreigner couple next to our table ordered the same but their serving was quite big. Just because we are locals doesn’t mean we have to get service like that. We deserve equal treatment too. 4. Payment. This should be advertised or included in your advertisement that any card payments will have to pay extra 5% charge. I never knew this until I had to directly message the resort. So your prices here is not as accurate. I hope this helps and I you improve your service and facilities.
initially booked 2 nights in one of the small rooms but enjoyed the resort so much that I decided to stay another 2 nights. Since that room wasn’t available I moved to one of the larger rooms and can definitely recommend choosing one of those. The one I then stayed in definitely seemed more “recent”. I ultimately stayed even one night longer .. all easily done through booking.com :) The resort is nicely laid-out, cozy, clean and well-maintained. I took the stairs down to the sea every day for a swim. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. It was fun teaching them how to mix some cocktails not on their list. The food was good, although I pretty much only had their salads. I rented a scooter which the resort staff organized for 500 pesos a day. Had I known that I was going to end up staying for 5 nights, I probably would have rented on in town in order to get a better deal (saw signs as low as 350). Since the location is pretty remote, I’d say it is a must unless you want to rely on Tuk-Tuks all the time or just not leave the resort. I found a great yoga studio a town over … 10 mins by scooter. Would definitely stay at this resort again.
As usual, the mattress and pillows were to firm for me. It seems it is difficult to avoid that in Asia unless you spend a lot of money on high-end accommodations. I have to note that the coffee out of the espresso machine was extremely thin, light in color and without body. After two mornings, I went and bought some coffee at a place called Common Grounds which I gave to the staff when requesting my daily Cappuccino with an extra shot of Espresso. That improved my mornings a lot. I should also mentioned that there was some chainsaw noise throughout the days due to the fact that the plot of land next door was being cleared of all its trees by its owners, probably to get it ready for sale. Not much can be done about that. If I were to return, I would probably check in to see if the plot had sold and something was being constructed on it.
Great choice for a family on a budget, the view is obviously great given it being on a 'Cliffside'. The pool is a nice spot to relax and the food is great! This is the only place I've been in many visits to the Philippines that managed to find Cumberland sausages, so the English breakfast is a very good effort indeed!Close to Alona beach and airport. Would stay again.
Love the cliffside location, away from the noise, very quiet place to relax and unwind
Only thing to consider is as the hotel is on an unsealed road, some tour companies refuse to pick you up and therefore its about a 10-12 min walk to a sealed road in the heat or you need to organise a tuk tuk.
Quiet, which was highly appreciated. The location "cliffside". Nice and helpful staff. Clean if not cosy. OK bedding. Pleasant pool.
Food very average.
location was private, great cliffside snorkeling and a wonderful swim up bar. Staff were great
beds are quite firm
Great location, nice food and good options for vegetarians. The snorkelling was good, especially the coral
There should be a separate smoking area away from the restaurant/ bar and pool areas - so many people were smoking that it wasn't pleasant to sit by the pool or drink at the bar.
Stunning view! Kids loved the pool and played with floaties, while we enjoyed quiet time and snorkeling at a nearby reef. The whole place is magical. A short tricycle ride from busy Alona beach. Warm and kind staff helped with every question or request. Resorts restaurant has a good selection of food and drinks. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
