Location was great in Ancient Town which is amzingRoom servicing person was fantastic.Breakfast was really good excellent variety.We had dinner at the Asian style restaurant twice and both times food and service was fantastic. Service from the staff also top standard.

One small gripe - heated pool and Gym were closed for maintenance when we arrived and we hadn't been advised before.Wasn't a big deal though and they immediately offered some complimentaries and apologised.

We were able to ask for different kinds of pillows which was unique. The transportation service to get around the hotel was also very useful and the staff operating that was great. Security was also very on top of everything. Room was large and the bathroom facilities were great. Location was right in the middle of the ancient city which made getting around very easy.

The front desk staff were not so great, we spoke English and they hung up on us the first time. They also did not listen to what we had requested and didn't answer our questions correctly or ask us to clarify our questions either.

The hotel is massive, rooms are far from restaurants, and lobby. You need to call a buggy to bring you there. Ride is 5 minutes away however just something to consider.

Clean, spacious and comfortable located in the center.

The location is great, on the south side of old town. One can enter the old town directly from the north gate (whereas the main hotel lobby is towards the south). We love the swimming pool (25 m). Room was large. Staff were most helpful: Tina at the front desk, and Simon as well. Travel desk also gave us suggestions for Jade Dragon tours on our own (via taxi and Didi).

Our first night was a bit cold: thermostat was set to 26 C, and not warm enough. Next day the staff told us we have to set it to 32 C. They were so nice and immediately gave us extra heater, and extra blanket but in the end we don't need these, after setting thermostat to 32 C.

The hotel is well-maintained, clean and beautifully designed. The location is excellent as it has two gates to access the Lijiang Ancient Town. Breakfast has a vast selection, and is delicious. Staffs are also friendly and helpful especially those who serve breakfast.

A bidet for the toilet would have been nice.

The hotel is spacious and decorate beautifully. The room is large, elegant and stay comfortably. Service is great esp. one (Rebecca) in Chinese restaurant she's very kind and helpful.

Just wonder that I stayed 2 nights and drink some beverage in the fridge on first night and the second night there's no any replenishment, just the leftover from first night in the fridge. Is it normal? ?

Everything was perfect but except...

...aircon wasn't warm enough so it was cold at night. We were provided heater next day though.

Proximity near to the old town and also the concierge service to arrange for the Jade Mountain ticket. The service of 和亚成was amazing.

Very good location, right next to the Old town. Great and spacious rooms, very nice breakfast. Massage at the spa was excellent too!

The location is excellent, with a small entrance directly to the Old Town and easy access from the main street which convenient for guests travelling with luggages.The hotel blends modern comfort with traditional architecure beautifully. The breakfast offered a great variety.

Good location , clean , friendly good staff. The buggy rides to room. Close to the old town very nice part of old town.

The hotel is gorgeous, with a 'to-die-for' view of the Jade Dragon Snow mountain. Very picturesque, and beautiful and well appointed rooms and grounds, and conveniently located, right next to the Lijiang Ancient Town.A special shout out to John from the concierge, who was fantastic and so very helpful with recommendations on side trips.

The property was amazing!! We upgraded our room so all the amenities were included and it was really worth it. The staff were exceptional, especially (Bena and Ricardo)who payed so much attention to make sure we were happy with everything and well taken care of. We highly recommend this property! A+

The staff's service mind is extremely high. We were fortunate to meet Ms. Julie who was both kind and helpful in meeting our requests. Most of all, she even send our forgotten personal cosmetics and toiletries back to us. It's truly beyond the call duty. Definitely 11 out of 10.

This hotel is absolutely splendid. It occupies an area as large as a neighbourhood. It's right within Lijiang Ancient Town, possibly the most beautiful old town in China. There's a main building with the lobby, the restaurants, the cafe and the spa but the rooms are scattered around the property is small pavilions.I got a free upgrade to a Premium Room which was the most beautifully decorated hotel room I've ever had. The room was spacious, very quiet and had everything I needed. I felt that the bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in. There was a bathtub and a shower in the room. A room of this quality would cost around 1800 € in Europe. The choice at breakfast was huge. Overall this is a luxury hotel, well above the average of the worldwide five-star standards, yet you would need to pay considerably more for this quality almost anywhere in the world.

Although the front desk staff spoke good English, most other staff didn't and tried to avoid communication with the English speaking guests.
