This hotel is rated as a 3 star accommodation. It¿s barely a 1 star. Our bungalow needs a lot of work. The broken ceramic tiles leading into the unit shifted under our feet were very dangerous. Bare feet would not be safe. Web site is not accurate

The room is spacious and clean, enough space for two persons. The staff helpful. Koh Lipe is an expensive Island so in comparison with island average, the place is reasonable.

Worst Resort i stayed in my life

I recently stayed at Bayview Hill Resort in Thailand, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience, especially considering the price I paid. I feel compelled to share my negative experience to warn other potential guests.Cleanliness Issues:The most glaring issue was the lack of cleanliness. My room was far from what I would consider acceptable. There was a noticeable layer of dust on most surfaces, and I found several hairs in the bathroom upon arrival. The floors didn't seem to have been properly cleaned, and there was a lingering, unpleasant odor. The bedding, while appearing superficially clean, had a musty smell. The common areas weren't much better. I saw overflowing trash bins and dirty tables near the restaurant area.Staff Attitude:The staff's attitude was another major letdown. While not universally rude, many of the staff members seemed indifferent and unhelpful. Check-in was slow and disorganized, and my requests for basic amenities (like extra towels) were met with sighs and delays. When I raised concerns about the room's cleanliness, the staff member I spoke with was dismissive and offered no real solution. There was a general lack of enthusiasm or willingness to assist guests, which significantly impacted my overall impression.Value for Money:Perhaps the most frustrating aspect of my stay was the poor value for money. Bayview Hill Resort is priced as a mid-range to upscale resort, but the reality was far from it. Given the substandard cleanliness and the unhelpful staff, I felt completely ripped off. I've stayed in much cheaper accommodations in Thailand that offered a far superior experience in terms of both service and hygiene. The amenities, which were listed as a selling point, were either poorly maintained or simply not available. The "sea view" I paid extra for was partially obstructed by overgrown vegetation.In conclusion, I cannot recommend Bayview Hill Resort.

Incredible sea view from our bungalow, comfortable and spacious room with good AC etc. beautiful gardens, very friendly and helpful staff. Great location on a quieter area of the island.

I was a tad worried before staying here - from the varied reviews. But the staff seemed quite nice and the views are stunning here. I had an amazing view from my shower/Toilet - the best view I have ever had from a shower.The beach itself isn't the best beach on the island in my opinion, but the hotel have made the beach area really nice with hammocks, Lights, swinging chairs and loungers.I didn't try the breakfast but the food seemed Nice enough.

I arrived a day later because of low season and ferries stopping at 1:30pm, but they had no problem to extend my visit by a day for free because they were aware of the issue. Everyone's very friendly!

Nothing Good to say about the place.

it was a horrible experience… I went with my family for a trip, so o was expecting a Good place or at least a Good treatment. To begin with, all the employees are super rude they didnt even say “ hi” to us, especially the owner, the place is far from the mainly Street, the aircon was not working, the shower was not working properly, the garden was very tall and unkempt, which is why there were lots of animals and insects.

Not much. Asked for a garden room and was looking at a fence. Location was also not ideal. Not close to the town. Had to taxi back at night for safety purposes.

A lot. Location. Cleanliness. Beach was not clean even though it wouldn’t take much to tidy up. Also room was not as advertised.

Love that its a bit secluded away from the hustle and bustle of main pier/island. Peaceful and serene

The view is 100% value my money. It was incredible I can’t wait to wake up early to enjoy the view, would recommend for couple. The staff was helpful and friendly.

The dust in the room, the light in shower room was so dark, the mirror was installed too hight for 165 cm. woman like me. The air conditioner was cold and that good but the blanket was like a papery, there was no duvet in side. The breakfast was the worse. Food was so little as a set menu. Not good quality, expired yogurt cause it was too hot and they did not put it in refrigerator. The hotel beach is not for swim, so much seaweed.

Amazing location. Great private restaurant and beach connected to the lodges. You can see the sunset from the beach. Really helpful and friendly staff.

Bad

I didn't like the place or the room. Wasn't clean.The room lock with a simple locker.Bug and Flys can get into the room easily.I left that place at the moment I arrived. Couldn't even thinking about sleep there.

Little bit far from walking street and shops.

Stayed in a very comfortable and pretty bungalow with ocean view. Loved the room with its balcony and amazing toilet which had the most incredible view. Really liked being able to refill my bottle of water when needed. Friendly staff that waited for me to arrive to check in. I arrived 1:30 after the cut off time because of problems with the speedboat from Phi Phi.

Really step stairs to and from the beach, but mainly the amount of flies every time you’d have a meal at the restaurant/beach. It was really hard to eat as they were everywhere… not great at all. It actually ruined the moment. The eating area is on a beautiful beach with Cristal clear waters, sort of paradise beach… the flies completely ruined the experience. Being on sunset beach it is quite a walk to get to the walking street (10 mins). Easy on the way down but to return we ended up getting taxis (thb 50). Also the laundry service wasn’t great. Quite expensive in comparison to village prices and the service wasn’t great at all. What was white became yellow and a few items came back stained!

The staff at Bayhill Resort made up for what the facilities lacked. They were so upbeat and positive, always smiling.

The bungalow was a little tired and could definitely do with some updates. Very basic

Location right on sunset beach, quiet compared to main beaches. Short walk to all other areas. Aircon was good , mosquito net provided and room was cleaned every day by friendly staff. Hotel restaurant did nice food and kayak rentals.

Our room was at the back and removed from the nice garden area. Owner was very aggressive towards a couple at reception, context unknown, but still surprising to see in hospitality ,regardless of the reason.

- The restaurant at the beach - Value for money - Clean sheet and towels every day- Staff in the restaurant was really nice -Quite location on the island away from typical tourist-resorts. - Genuine - Free drinkingwater and refill in dispenser outside room

- Noisy by night by animals. Rooster and other birds woke us up at 05 a.m. We also believe there where mice or rats in the wall. But if you like exotic and genuin experience this is the place to be ;).
