The Reef Hotel & Studios

Budget friendly and large family room. The breakfast was good, but they managed to messed up 50% of our orders - got coffee with milk, not almond milk, got pasta salad with bakon (instead of without), had to order something else, because they ran out of pasta. We came in and ordered first, but because of all the mishaps, ended up staying for an hour during breakfast.

There was a missing floorboard near the entrance, we were just told to be careful, but one could easily hurt themselves. No mosquito nets on the windows/terrace doors, as everywhere else we have been in Thailand.

The hotel is on the center of the island so you can easily get to any area. The room itself is super clean and comfortable. The staff is amazing and very kind, and the included breakfast is delicious.

If you hate bugs don’t stay here. I had a roach in my room one night and a centipede in my shower another night. I don’t think staff is available 24 hours so you’ll have to deal with these creatures yourself. The room is clean but they have multiple drains that make is easy for bugs to enter. Also, I stayed in two rooms and the “standard king room” has the larger bed up in the loft (and twin size on the ground floor) so you will be essentially climbing a ladder/ very steep staircase to go to the bed area. For someone who has to go to the bathroom a lot at night this is not good. The “deluxe” room has a bed on the same floor as the bathroom (but closer to where the bugs are…)

Breakfast till 16:00 is the best thing and it was delicious ?

Hotel Location is between sunrise beach and walking street So it’s comfortable to spend night time and morning beach vibes

We stayed for a week, in two different rooms. Both were family rooms, but the first one didnt have a view or a balcony. We enjoyed the stay and breakfast a lot! The hotel is on a pretty busy street, but our rooms were quite.

The housekeepjng is a little bit slow.The internet doesn't work quite well in the rooms

What I liked about The Reef Hotel & Studios is that it’s a small, cute, and very cozy place to return to after a long day of diving. It’s spotlessly clean and has all the necessary basics, plus the much-needed AC. The fact that there’s a breakfast spot and café right next to it, which is part of the hotel, is a great convenience. Most importantly, the staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly, which made my stay even better.

The space is quite small, so if you’re looking for something more spacious, it might not be the best fit.

Nice clean hotel with good breakfast.

Didn't realize studio meant 2 stories. Not very accessible for elderly or bad knees. Bedroom is upstairs while entrance and bathroom are downstairs. Not an easy climb up or down, especially in the middle of the night. WIFI did not work in our room. Adjacent road was noisy between 7am and midnight.

Everything. The location was perfect, the food was great and the style is very trendy. All the windows made the room so bright - it was beautiful. The welcome drink was an added bonus. I wish we had longer to stay!

Breadkfast was good. Locatoin was excellent.

Only complaint is no pool. But I knew that when booking. And Koh Lipe in general does not have many hotels with pools, and the ones they do have are pricey.

Cleanliness, really comfortable bed, view from the balcony was amazing, I loved the location which was a bit away from the main street. The breakfast is absolutely SPECTACULAR and one of the main reasons why I had chosen this place. They make their own bread and coffee. The cafe where u have breakfast is so nicely decorated-wood and a looot of greenery, that you really feel like u are in some high-end resort in the middle of nowhere.

We were there when the temperatures were extremely hot so it was hard to cool down the room (our room was quite big). We had ac on lowest temperature and fan on the whole time we were there.

Super cute and felt private and tucked away but still close to everything. The breakfast is phenomenal and the general vibe of the place is top. The staff was fantastic and helpful and super kind. Loved my stay here.

Evidence of mould in the bathroom, and no hand towels or soap provided. Stain on bedlinen.

The style of the rooms (and the cafe) are really impressive, functional and comfortable. Breakfast is top-notch with coffee to match. The staff were friendly and willing to assist with whatever we needed, even giving a late checkout with no extra charge!

Nothing, it was an all round great experience and I'll definitely book with the Reef again next time.

I dont like the room. It's super outdated and the rest room is super dirty and the shower room is not working

The breakfast was amazing 10/10 - 5 choices but each one was so good. Room was clean and comfortable, few mosquitos but not unmanageable. Great location in the middle of 2 beaches around 10 minutes walk to both

Love the atmosphere of the hotel. It's almost at the center of the island but on a quieter street. Food and coffee were incredible, we felt very spoiled. We got a very large cosy room that was clean and spatious for 3 people.

The pillows were too thick and uncomfortable. Bed was decent but i have to say that the 3 nights have led me to a constant neck pain from how high the pillows were. Wifi was not good at all.

This property was amazing! The room was huge and had a tree house type balcony chill out outdoor area which we loved. It was in the perfect location to enjoy all beaches, but out of the way for a quiet stay. The breakfast options that were included were incredible! The staff were all lovely and welcoming, we were able to use the picnic blankets for the beach and there were snorkels available also but first come first serve. I wouldn't stay anywhere else but here! 10000% worth it, and cannot wait to come back.

There were no bad parts of our stay here, we cannot thank the staff enough for making our stay amazing throughout!

Breakfast was great, a huge bonus of staying here. Location for us was also excellent - close to a number of lovely beaches and very close to walking street - without any noise. Nice area in hotel next to restaurant (also very nice) where we hung out and chilled in the afternoon. Cool vibe in the Reef.

Wi-fi wasn't very good in the room. No spoons to stir our coffee and tea. Would have been a bonus to have a fan on the balcony.

Short 5 minute walk to beach. Close to markets, restaurants, walking street. But just far away from all the really busy stuff. Great breakfast. Nice room and AC.
