    Pros +

    • The horseback riding in the zip line was absolutely amazing not to mention the property was well kept the pool was clean and everything was awesome
    • Liked everything, the road to the new parking lot was a little rough but that’s because it’s a new parking lot and haven’t completed the road yet. Was an excellent stay and will definitely come again. Staff was great, breakfast great and dinner was great with excellent pricing.
    • Great surroundings and nature.

    Cons -

    • There is nothing that I did not like.
    • Breakfast was terrible and you have to pay $17
    • Not really the lodge's fault but we were in room 311 and a family with screaming children and even noisier wife were placed in room 310. We woke up to the wife speaking loudly at 6am on the phone. The children were truly out of control. Bad parenting. We knocked on the wall. No change. I confronted the husband directly...he was oblivious. Clearly didn't care that they shared a thin wall with others. Be aware at this property: you can hear EVERYTHING that happens next door to you, every burp, every fart. Other more minor concerns were towels not prepared in advance at the pool mid-day. We also noticed too many large and small plates vanishing at breakfast, not being replaced.

5 stars to the front desk, restaurant and housekeeping staff and their managers...all welcoming, polite, helpful and professional. Loved the private balcony hammock and large shower space. Breakfast was good, and dinner options even better (and affordable!). We loved the naturales juice mixes, ceviche, Latin style pizza and fish plates. Pool was lovely and very clean. The easy hiking trail past waterfalls was a pleasure, and appreciated the excellent large ceiling fan in the bedroom (we never needed AC). Great views of the forest as well!

We loved rinconcito lodge and greatly preferred it over guachililpin (and it was less than half the price!). Nice spacious room, great food, beautiful gardens. We did the full day Santa Maria via horse tour with jose and it was amazing. Our best day in costa rica. The lodge felt authentic and less touristy than other areas in Costa Rica. Santa Maria sector has beautiful waterfalls and hot springs and unlike Pailas which was packed with people, we saw almost no one all day.

Lodge is lovely, has a short walking trail. Great location - close to national park and Rio Negra hot springs

The service at the restaurant was extremely slow. It was understandable to wait 40 min during dinner because the place was full. However, waiting for over an hour for late lunch, when only 1 more table was occupied was ridiculous. We barely made our flight.

The property was clean and modern with nice rooms and common areas

The lobby closed at 9 pm and we were late because of traffic delay. The gate to the property was closed. We had to walk around the gate to look for someone to let us in. Little uncomfortable thinking we weren’t going to get in.

Nice hotel with a lovely garden and pool. The room was spacious and clean but our view was not one for in the books. We looked out over outbuildings and a sort of construction site.Good breakfast and diner but the staff was very focused on the French guests, which made us feel unseen at times.

People kind and helpful. Bedrooms comfortable. New reception area very elegant and pretty and modern in a tasteful way

The swimming pool too small! Nothing to do. Food could be much better, some of us are organic and vegetarian, more really fresh tropical fruit, a library with books about the location and history of costa rica. A room with homemade all natural fresh juice. A small outdoor gym under a roof.

The room we had had a lovely view across the forest and was wonderfully peaceful. It was quite a distance away from the restaurant and pool etc which was not an issue for us but a 4 wheel drive was needed to drive to the room. Just be careful which room you book! The room itself was well equipped with a large comfortable bed, great walk in shower and a hammock on the balcony. There is a nice pool and some lovely walks from the property. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially at reception.

Breakfast was OK, nothing special, but we suffered from following a large tour group…..

A high-end hotel, but of course, as a larger facility, you have lots of other guests that may be running a different schedule than you.

Hamburger was undercooked in their restaurant, which caused some stomach issues.

Spacious rooms, picturesque surroundings and great breakfasts.

    It was rather pricey!

This place is a little piece of heaven on earth. You can see birds all over the property, beautiful nature everywhere you look, the pool is a special treat. Breakfast was fantastic. We ate so well, and having the restaurant in the property was great as the region is quite isolated. The staff were wonderful, so caring and kind. Our room was spacious. The hammock out on the balcony was a pleasant surprise. Overall, excellent!

Be mindful of the road conditions to get to the hotel as it is full of holes, and there is no internet signal, so I'd recommend you download offline maps to ensure you find the place. As an idea, it would be great if, on the way leading up to the hotel, there were more signs to help us find the way.

Services were really good. Also food. The location in the middle of jungle is amazing. A lot of different birds and animals.

Roads are pretty bad condition. You need a big car.

The staff is super friendly and helpful. The garden is beautiful and many birds come to visit. the pool is nice for relaxing after a long day..

beautiful location near Rincon de la Vieja National park. Trails nearby for hiking, birds and nature all around. Beautiful. Great breakfast and dinner. Staff was very friendly.

The rooms are basic but comfortable.
