Pros +
- The hotel looks okay, like on the photos. Very silent.
- The outdoor areas were nice, but the swimming pool was small and rather old
- I enjoyed my stay in the hotel. The hotel has an infinity pool with view of the Parana river, which I found incredibly beautiful. You can look out at Paraguay. The breakfast was good and the dinner in the restaurant was very good as well.
Cons -
- The breakfast wasn't a 4* hotel breakfast.First time ever the staff didn't explain us anything and there was not even a complimentary bottle of water in the room.
- Old rooms and not updated. Rooms not properly cleaned. Location is absolutely far from everything.Everything on the spa is paid, including the sauna, which is around 10€ per use. It's not really a 4-star hotel. It's more like a 3-star with several years on it.
- You are looking at a 25-30 minute walk to find bars/ restaurants/ buses to Iguazu Falls in hot humid conditions through residential neighbourhoods that are perfectly safe, if in places a little scruffy compared to e.g. central BA, Mendoza, Cafayate, Bariloche. I walked everywhere bar the airport & the Falls - not everyone might be comfortable with this. But taxis are not expensive, and usually available at 5 minutes notice. I didn't eat there in the evening because recent online restaurant reviews polarised between severely disappointed guests and fulsome 'astroturfing' by rather suspect 'Local Guides'. It's a shame that this otherwise excellent hotel has resorted to PR fixes instead of addressing this specific quality issue.

The choice in Iguazu tends to be budget hotels in the centre and more characterful stays around the edges. Guamini Mision is very much in the latter group. Lovely grounds, fabulous views over river Parana from infinity pool with early evening bar. Excellent breakfast, lots of choice. Spacious rooms- all ground floor, large bathrooms. A gym I didn't use, so can't rate - but is is there. Really helpful, friendly staff - good chance of finding reasonable English spoken on front desk. Lovely place to stay.

Hotel is beautiful with a great concept and styling. Rooms are large and spacious, with a large bathroom as well. The view from the breakfast/snack bar is amazing. The hotel has nice pools as well. The staff was wonderful, both in the restaurant and the check in, with a great taxi driver as well. The breakfast had a large variety of options, both savoury and sweet (but mainly meat options for savoury, if you're vegetarian make sure to ask about things, even if it isn't mentioned), with fruit, bread, sweets, and cereal.
Our main point of contention was the food- at breakfast, the bread and cakes are stale, and some of the fruit looks bad as well. At dinner (we took half board) the food was not very tasty and the variety wasn't great, and did not include any drinks.Additionally- the bathroom window points to the hall and feels not very private, and while the rooms are smoke free, there was an ash tray right outside our room so we had cigarette smell inside. Also, the bed was quite lumpy. Notice the property is quite far from the city so you'll need a car/taxi for everything
Very beautiful hotel
A little bit far from center and restaurants. If you come for two days to see the falls, you leave the hotel early and come back in the evening. Don't get time to enjoy the view...
Sunset over the river, by the pool
Far out from downtown, yet it suited our needs, quiet, greenery all over
The old style architecture and the stunning view from the breakfast room.
The floors were dirty, the room had barely any furniture, does not deserve its rating. The road leading to the hotel was horrible, it was rocks and not paved.
Really great hotel, we only stayed for one night, as we were headed to the Brazilian side of Iguazu the next day, but we had a lovely evening. There was a tango show which was unexpected and nice. The hotel grounds are beautiful, room is very comfortable, and the food at the restaurant was quite good.
I guess if I had to say something, the coffee at breakfast is not great.
Nice concept, loved the room, the territory, staff, restaurant/bar with the swimming pool and the museum
The only thing I did not like was the sound from the other part of the room. It seemed like they just locked the door between two rooms, so it was not just a wall but the door without soundproof, it was a bit noisy and a bit dasappointing.
The hotel is gorgeous with an amazing view from the restaurant overlooking the river and Paraguay.
The hotel is in a very remote location without any restaurants or shops nearby. The hotel is also on a dirt/stone road that was extremely uncomfortable to drive on walk.
We loved the beautiful location on the river and the wonderful infinity pool. The food and service in the restaurant were excellent. The room was very spacious.
It would have been nice to have complementary water in the room and the offer of complimentary breakfast takeaway in the morning when we left before breakfast was served.
The structure of the unique building . The views of the river .
The restaurant . The meals were okay .
Nice hotel, very clean and good wifi. Friendly stuff
This is a wonderful, beautiful, and stylish hotel. It is in a nice location with a fantastic view. The breakfast is good, and the restaurant serves delicious food. The city center is nearby and accessible by foot. Overall, our impression is extremely positive.
We booked a table in the hotel restaurant for dinner one day in advance and planned our day accordingly. However, the next day, we were told that the restaurant was closed for a private party, so we had to have dinner in a snack bar with a reduced menu.
The hotel was beautiful, breakfast and dinner with a breathtaking view on the river! The room was cozy and the check in easy, we couls leave the bags after checkout and even use the pool / showers after, which came in very handy! The pool is just amazing!!Staff was very friendly, sometimes a bit tricky as they dont speak english, but they try their best and theres google translate :)Room with AC and nice facilities!
The pool is fantastic. The room was very nice, although the bathroom could need some renovation. I also saw a roach, but considering the location right inside nature that’s probably not avoidable.
The location is a bit outside of the center. So walking at night is a little scary. Also, it would be great if the receptionist could speak at least a bit of English.
Location on the river, the restaurant, the buildings, the garden, the pool, the bar
Airco was a little too close to the bed, so for one person too cold, for the other too warm..
Good location. Well maintained and quiet area. A swimming pool and a veranda with a magnificent view of the river river and the Paraguayan coast. A good restaurant with delicious food and entertainment.
A meager breakfast. A larger selection of hot dishes is desirable. The hinges on some windows and doors are very creaky, please process them with wd40.
The Hotel and views were fantastic.
The Tango dancing and loud music was distracting while having dinner in the restaurant. I would have liked the option to sit somewhere more quiet or even outside to enjoy the experience of the hotel and surrounding views. Would have liked better bathroom supplies as I didn't travel with any due to airport restrictions and I could not open the shampoo sachets which were also small.
