    Pros +

    • My biggest regret with this hotel is that we didn’t get to stay here longer! The location is so unique–tucked in the middle of the jungle with walkways connecting bungalow-type rooms.
    • The property is run down and needs to be fixed and updated. We had a leaky shower, the sink was spraying out, and it could have been cleaner. The linens all need updating as they are worn out. The lodge has potential, but it is in need of more maintenance.
    • Literally in a Jungle! Amazing location, great swimming pool and very nice area.

    Cons -

    • With a delayed flight, we wish we could have enjoyed the hotel more as our stay was short. Would have enjoyed the pool if it was open later.
    • The restaurant was not good and it has to be avoided. Everything can be heard in the room...The location made it impossible to walk around and the need of a car or a taxi is permanent.
    • The wooden planks outside didn’t instill confidence. A heavy person broke one just by standing and fell in, luckily no injuries. Also, we had dinner once at the restaurant and the potatoes were very undercooked. These details didn’t ruin our stay. We had a great time.

Amazing to be in the rainforest with comfort and great staff.

This hotel has units located in the amazing forest, very nice, The hotel has a swimming pool surrounded by the "Jungle' with bar and you can bring to the pool your own drinks, There is no problem with smoking by the pool . Very friendly staff. Lovely place - Recommended! We are group of 6 and we have stayed there for 5 nights. Good breakfast as well

Quality of restaurant food. Unfortunately it was very hard to find someone who speak English

I liked the room and the general tropical forest around the rooms. Good air-conditioning and beds.

Hotel is in disrepair, I broke trough the wooden floor slats with one of my feet, luckily I didn't hurt myself..overall lacks maintenance and cleaning, windows of the rooms where really dirty, bathtub needs new silicone(as it's dirty and missing in places. Breakfast was the worst I have ever had!!!!!The fruit was fermented, and the boiled eggs where spoiled!!! I thought that maybe it was that one, but no the second I took was also spoiled!!!

The main reception area was very nice. The food was very good as well especially the Empanadas

Old and rundown. Really needs renovation. Sheets were stained and so were curtains. I saw ants on my comforter when I checked in but just removed the comforter. Unfortunately, the next morning I had bites which were obviously bed bugs in my experience. They appeared the next morning and throughout the day on my skin. While I understand bed bugs are becoming more abundant, they really need to take better care to at least make sure the beds are bug free.

great location and its beautiful although definitely in need of maintenance

in general there are no staff. We were asked when we were arriving and no one was around, the hotel was dark when we got there. It took 20 minutes to track someone down to check us in. We were greeted with eye rolls and sighs for taking her away from her social media scrolling. With amenities like a pool, you had to track down an employee to get a towel. If you wanted a drink by the pool you had to hope they had the ingredients for the advertised happy hour drinks (they didn’t). Everything felt like you were putting them out. Asking for a cab to be reserved to go to the falls was a HUGE ordeal and the staff acted like they had no idea what we were talking about. In the end we ended up booking our own driver as the hotel quoted us an additional $10 each way. The food was very okay. I would recommend going off property to eat, we went to La Roueda which was amazing. So much possibility but everything is kind of falling apart.

    Don’t book here!!!

room was not clean, had spiders and the worst - unbelievably unfriendly staff. For example we had two days booked with breakfast. The first day we were able to have breakfast and on this day in the afternoon our flight carrier rescheduled our flight for the next day. We asked the staff if it was possible to have a take-out breakfast or to be refunded the amount of the breakfast. We were told we could solve it in the morning. The next morning we were told it’s not the problem of the hotel that our flight got rescheduled and that we would not got our money back regardless that we paid for a service we know wasn’t provided. We know it is not their problem that our flight got changed. But since this is a star hotel we expected better customer service or understanding for the situation rather than being made fun of on top! We complained twice again without result.

The property grounds are beautiful and quiet with lots of birdlife. The staff was welcoming and helpful, and the breakfast, though not lavish, was very good and beautifully presented. The clear glass vases with native plant leaves and blossoms were fresh and lovely. The bathroom was clean and comfortable with a good shower, and the air conditioning was easy to control and worked very well. The filling of the pool was completed during our stay, and it is a beautiful area to stay and relax in.

The facility is a bit tattered and in need of some general maintenance in many areas. Our screen door on unit 14 wouldn’t remain closed, the bedside lamps were unstable and fell over easily, the overhead lampshade was completely bent out of shape, and one of the bath towels actually several holes in it. The overhead light shades in the dining and sitting areas, like unit 14, are completely bent out of shape and need to be replaced. None of this would prevent our staying again, but just a little tender loving care would go a long way.

No English. No assitance. Very difficult. I had to book alternative accomodation.

I cannot speak Spanish. I needed assistance getting my tickets for the National Park Entrance…but no one could help me.I was also asked to pay in cash…I cannot pay in cash.

    Jungle location

Rooms not properly cleaned (bloodstain on wall when we checked in, still not properly gone after telling staff). The hotel needs some investment and maintenance as felt a bit neglected.

Jurassic Park hotel who only wants your money. DO NOT BOOK this ever. You will regret it.

Everything Poor breakfast - tasteless bread, little amount of fruits and even served on a stick like barbeque. Served me half a bread even. It’s gross.Heater doesn’t even work properly!Poor amenities and toiletries. You are given two pieces of soap the size of Half a credit card. Towels are thin as wafer, and look like bath mats instead.Very inflexible with requests - I asked for a snack and they won’t let me get what I want to order. Also asked for a later checkout - from their super early 10am, I asked for 12nn which is reasonable given there was hardly anyone in the hotel and they flatly said no.

Its friendly staff, its breakfast, and its location

    10guyPosted on: 4-14-2024

The hotel is situated in the jungle and is made of stone and wood so it blends in! There is also a pool right next to the bungalows. It's a really beautiful design. The restaurant is excellent too, so there is no need to go into town to eat.
