    • NICE ROOM SET UP WITH WONDERFUL VIEW ON THE SEA AND CITY SHORE. WONDERFUL SET UP AND QUALITY OF AMENITIES IN ROOM. ATTENTION ANF CARING OF STFF KINDNESS OF THE WAITER AND THE ATTENTION FROM THE FLOOR PERSONAL BUTLER ON YOUR PREFERENCE AND HABITS FOR NIGHT TURN DOWN AND CLEANING OF ROOM.
    • Excellent service, great room and breakfast. The best view in Deauville.
    • Wonderful staff, very welcoming. Historical, iconic hotel perfectly located

    Cons -

    • THE BREAKFAST ROOM WAS A BIT SQUEEZY AS NO TABLE OUTSIDE. I COULD HAVE EXPECTED MORE LOCAL SPECIALITIES RELATED TO THE NORMANDY FOR BREAKFAST. IT IS INTERNATIONAL BUT MISSING THE LOCAL TASTE. I GUESS TO MATCH WITH THE INTERNATIONAL CLIENTELE
    • Nothing! Everything was perfect!
    • This hotel is ancient! Everything needs to be replaced and modernized, especially when they are charging close to €500 per night! The roof and facade need a serious upgrade and cleaning. The carpet is old everywhere and has a musty smell. The shower stall is like the one in a one-star hotel, full of water stains and rusted plumbing fixtures. The only good parts of the bathroom are the tub and sinks. They didn't have a sheer privacy curtain in our room, which made our room either fully exposed or in the dark. It was hard for us to enjoy the ocean view if our room is fully exposed to both sunlight and people's eyes. The lobby was a mess! We saw a couple sleeping on the sofas around 11am with their feet up and no shoes, just like at the airport. This happened on a five-star hotel! Wow, unbelievable! Another unorganized thing we noticed was during our breakfast at the Royal lounge, their hotel staff were busy pulling chairs from empty tables and dragged them out of the lounge to another room. It was a bad customer experience, especially during meal time. They need to do a better job in managing their guests, too. We saw unruly children running around the lobby half wet with their bathing suits and screaming.

Amazing location, of course, and a five-star hotel in every respect. The entire staff was lovely and the restaurants and room service were fantastic! Huge room with amazing view!!! It feels like a step back in time.

    Nothing! Everything was perfect!

We loved absolutely everything about the hotel & our stay. The whole hotel gave the feeling of luxury & comfort but was very relaxed & had a great atmosphere with lots of different age groups of people staying Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and Deauville has so much to offer. Our room was fantastic & definitely worth the extra cost. We will definitely be returning very soon.

We loved the staff the most. They were the ones making our stay pleasurable.

The views, the location, the spa, the gym.

The casino, the staff were rude and unhelpful and racist

    9AngelinaPosted on: 8-28-2023

A very good location close to the casino.Breakfast was really nice with champagne and a good selection of cheeses

I am in hospitality business so we can get on the east side to criticize when experiences isn’t up to standards. But here at the Royal hotel the staffing were perfectly train pleasant and professional.

Not that I didn’t like. But room for improvement would be the esthetic for the breakfast Layout. The product offering was good but this could use an updated set up design that reflect the 5 stars hotel.

    2TerriePosted on: 8-16-2023

    Staff were very accommodating

Hotel is very decrepit & not in keeping with other 5 star hotels...bathrooms were not well designed & in need of refurbishment.

    8MauPosted on: 7-31-2023

Proximity to the beach, room size and design, cleanliness, staff

Quite limited variety for breakfast; although we intentionally requested and. the hotel confirmed us a Twin Deluxe room ( we were travelling with our daughter), when we arrived we found ourselves “upgrade” to a room with queen size bed and an extra bed for the child, thus moving around the room has been quite difficult.

    10DavidPosted on: 7-9-2023

Great location and a fantastic distinguished building

Rxpenxive food and drink even by French standards

    1AmandaPosted on: 6-4-2023

The room was filthy and we discovered used food under the beds . The hotel did not offer any refund or upgrde to an alternate room.
