The Mercure Tours Center is ideally located in Tours city center, just a 5-minute walk from the Tours Train Station, the Vinci Congress Center and the Tourist Office. WiFi access is provided for free and underground, secure parking is available at an additional cost and only per reservation and per availibilty Serviced by a elevator, each soundproofed and air-conditioned room has a private bathroom with separate toilet. They all feature a satellite TV with some foreign channels, a hairdryer and an electric kettle with tea and coffee making facilities. The Mercure Tours Center serves a buffet breakfast every day, and guests can request evening meals in their room from Monday to Thursday (19:00-21:30). The hotel bar, Le Clos Lucé, is open all day. Some restaurants can be found a 5-minute walk away. Guests here will find a lounge, laundry service and a business corner with a printer. Free, outdoor parking is available, subject to availability. Pros +
- Location and parking very good. Our room 705 was spacious and well appointed (although there seemed to be only one electric socket) and had a bath as we had requested.
Cons -
- The hotel is run down it needs a big refurbishment.
- One of us found the bed uncomfortable. This hotel doesnt serve dinner. Breakfast was disappointing. At 9am the scrambled eggs had run out, as had the fromage blanc and the strawberry jam, and the staff had no intention of replenishing them.
