Khon Kaen Ruenrom Hotel

The location is perfect, near the train station and many small restaurant

There is not much light in the room

The room was big and clean, the staff friendly and helpful and the location for pubs and restaurants good .

It is an old hotel and from the outside looks run down , really needs a lick of paint.

Close to Khon Kaen train station. Neat and clean hotel. Place has vintage feel which I like. Will stay again.

Their communication is either late or never. Maybe due to language barriers.

This is my Third time staying here. As usual room was neat and clean. The place has some sort of Vintage touch which I like. Will stay here again.

Convenient location - just a few minutes walk from the train station

Smell from the bathroom, which was not clean. Overall, the room was uncomfortable to stay in longer than one night.

Can't judge for the upper floors, but the ground floors were extremely moldy, dark, dirty and smelly. Changed first room because the smell was unbearable. In second room the aircon couldn't be turned off after a while, staff did it's best, thanks, but i couldn't be turned off. Third room at least the aircon worked and I gave up. On top way too expensive for what you get.

The photos make it look better than it is. This is a run down 1 star hotel. Don't pay more than 400 baht per night.

The room is practically not sound proof and I can make out a whole conversation happening out side of my room while I was on the bed

Very dirty and not well maintained, the picture are outdated.A big dead cockroach welcomed us in the room.Impossible to use the balcony, very dirty and not accessible. The staff is not helpful.It could be a decent place if they put a little love and maintenance to the place.

Fast check-in. 2nd time here. Room was clean and ready. Good aircon & wifi. Water was supplied daily. Very friendly cleaning staff. Washing machine in lobby for customer usage. Lots of good food close to hotel. 7-11 a short walk away.Lots of markets and shopping close to hotel. Quiet at night, good place to rest. Comfortable beds.

Hotel is getting old, and a little more maintenance needed on balcony door locks. I noticed water pressure in shower fluctuated sometimes, but was good overall. Lots of hot water was available.

I love this side of the city. Food, shopping, very nice people and close to the train station.

The aircon safety is questionable. We went from inside to out side a few times and I felt ill and the smell of mold was present.

Staff were friendly and helpful.Asked for a quiet room and we got a quiet room.Bed linens were clean.Hot water in shower worked fine.Plenty of parking.Many lunch places near the hotel and a nearby food court is open in the evening (across the big road).

The pictures do NOT match the condition of this hotel. Do not believe the pictures! It is old and run down which explains why it is so inexpensive.The door into the room was warped and kicked in on the bottom (see picture)The door to the balcony not longer fit its frame properly- there were huge gaps which we stuffed with plastic bags to keep out the hot air ( see two pictures)The air conditioner was old and no longer had some of its parts (see picture). The buttons on the remote for the aircon were worn off so we could not tell which button changes temperature, or speed of the fan.The ceiling has mold from where water has leaked in (see picture)Dirty hallways.Summary: You get what you pay for, a basic run down room in the city with hot water that works. This is the kind of place working class locals stay when they need an inexpensive room; safe, but not in great condition. I know bookingcom says their reviews are from real people who stayed in the hotel, but find it hard to believe any guest who booked through an online platform would rate this hotel 10. Something just seems off there.

The lady behind the reception desk was super friendly, cheerful, and helpful.

Above the shower there was a black cake of mould. In the room the wallpaper was old; where it had come down before it wasn't even re-done, they just painted the wall white instead. The entire room smelled of fungus, it was super stuffy and unhealthy. And it wasn't possible to open the window and get some fresh air in, because then the aircon unit would blow hot air back into the room. We asked for another room, but were told all rooms were stuffy like that. We did not stay.

Cheap hotel in the city center close to the train station - perfect for a short stay before a planned trip. Nice service, close to Family Markt and 7 Eleven and a night street food market.

You can hear everything your neighbor is doing in the next room, and when you walk down the hotel corridor you can hear everything too. There was also visible fungus on the ceiling in the bathroom and around the air conditioning - it was obvious that the room needed to be refreshed.
