Anchan Laguna Hotel

Acceptable hotel for a short stay in Khon Kaen. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Parking available.

we have stayed here a few times now as we are building a house not far away and its so convenient and not expensive, the staff are good and the rooms are are always clean, good modern flatscreen tv with an excellent picture quality, the zircon is good and more importantly its quiet.

we tried a different room type this time, the room was good but the balcony was very narrow, you could sit outside but it was a bit of a squeeze and no table or chairs supplied, I guess they wouldnt have fitted in the small space.

come on guys, get a coffee machine!!! the hotel has a beautiful outside sitting area that overlooks the lake but they dont sell coffee.come on guys.

its in a very nice location on the edge of the lake and it has a nice lakeside seating area, and its very near a few restaurants and the local Lotuss and a shopping mall. room was very clean and we had a balcony with a good view, breakfast was ok not a lot of choice but good enough staff were helpful and pleasant to deal with

the room we were given had a really bad odour it smelled of sewage, when we investigated the smell we found the water had been turned off for the toilet so the water was stale and the traps that should be full of water to stop smells were empty so we had to turn the water on and flush the toilet a few times and run the sink tap and the shower to flush the old stale water out, this helped a bit but the smell was still there a bit, we got the cleaner to spray some air freshener in the bathroom and the smell cleared up a bit, by the evening it had pretty much gone and we could breathe fresh air again, but on the following night we came back from dinner and the smell was back so we got the night porter guy to come to the room and spray air freshener again. and the other thing, I went to the reception and asked for a coffee from their menu board in the reception only to be told that they dont do coffee anymore I was disappointed with that but there were cold coffees in the fridge and also soda etc..if you dont do coffee anymore then remove the sign it will stop people being disappointed.

The walls in our room were so thin and moldy. We can hear everything outside so our sleep always got disrupted.

Very friendly staff, but bring your Google translator if you don't speak Thai. I like the room service option. Good air-con. Very close to the main highway, and about 250-baht Grab Car ride to the airport. Music in the garden at night. I would definitely stay here again.

The FOOD was pretty mediocre. Nice menu, but what was brought was dry and tasteless. There may well be things on the extensive menu that were much better, but I wasn't lucky enough to order them.

To join the annual marathon race, drinks and snacks are offered from 2 a.m. AIso, shuttle bus to the venue is available with extra charge.room service dining is very good for value.

The location might be far from city center if you want to go to the city center but it is very convenient if you have to go to Khonkaen university.
