Othello Hotel

Location

Not very clean. Pillowcases was definitely used and not washedRooms are very very hot and only way to make it bearable is to use AC, but the one in my room was broken, very loud, had to use airpods with noise canceling to somehow sleep. AC was also very dirty. See the picture and enjoy.

It was clean and the breakfast was very good

Unfortunately I couldn't sleep cuz there was a lot of noise and also a terrible smell of cigarettes..when I booked the hotel I asked to be in a non-smoking room...

Staff were very good but no breakfast offered on late arrival nor early departure date. Breakfast also until 11:00 am but 3 times it had been cleared by 10:40-45

The location is next to a school which plays an alarm music start with schoolAt 06:50 and every hour throughout the day. The place is far from tranquil and the windows are not soundproofed nor do they have drapes to keep our the heat and sunlight. I bought eye mask and cotton wool to try and sleep

hotel is very clean staff are kind and professional and all speaking english They help with any request and they do their job in very professional way room was spacious and furniture modern and new the restaurant was big and breakfast was good

The only uncomfortable moment was because just the only one of the staff members speaks english. For some reason entering this address in Google maps send us to the complete different area, so we couldn’t find the hotel, so calling the hotel and trying to find out was problematic. Also when the earthquake happen it caused me good hour to find out what I should expect this night in terms of security. Person on receiption just said wait a minute and gone, 20 min after I found him sipping tea, so i repeated my questions, plus “do you speak english”, he said “of course” wich confused me again, I thought I must be misunderstood. But when he started to check my personal data and said “it’s ok, no problem” I realised…..overall it’s a nice clean hotel and breakfast is good? Just communication made me get couple of grey hair?

Stuff could speak English better just that

all good

very close to a school, my room facing the school, very noisy during the day.

The hotel is located in the busy area with the easy access to institutions, cafés, restaurants, and transportation. The rooms are clean. The staff is quite hospitable and open for requests. Their help was very valuable.

A public school building is just next to the hotel. The noise is moderate though.

we liked it very much, it was a very nice wide room. very clean & the staff was friendly.

Excellent hotel with delicious breakfasts and well located. Very beautiful interiors. I plan to stay there on my next trip to Mersin.
