staff where very helpful all the time

near a busy main road so make sure you pick a quite side of the building facing away from main road as motorcycles screaming up and down most of the time. I'm a heavy sleeper so did not brother me but if you're a light sleeper something to consider.

Wow I cant say enough about the fantastic experience I had from hotel employees! From the moment we walked in their warmth and professionalism were evident. Hotel employee attention to detail ensured that every aspect of our visit was tailored to perfection.

Great location

The service and the cleanliness.

Location was great with everything interesting within walking distance or short ride. We had the hot breakfast on our second day and really enjoyed the service and food quality. Staff was great with helping find private transportation and dining recommendations.

Was not sure if we had daily room service, but learned we needed to ask if we wanted fresh sheets or towels. I think this is more common to the Philippines and not this hotel. This was my first stop on my trip and I was still in fast mode, so I needed to practice some patience with the relaxed pace at the hotel.

Clean. Nice bathrooms and beds. Good AC.

No hot water in the shower.

During our check-in, we were informed that the hotel would be hosting a Halloween party and that in-house guests were welcome to attend free of charge, with priority access.At around 7:00 PM, we proceeded to the restaurant on the 5th floor for dinner. The food was good, and after our meal, we decided to stay a bit longer to enjoy some drinks and wait for the party to begin, as we were already at the venue.To our surprise, a waitress suddenly approached our table with the bill. I mentioned that I had not requested it, and she explained that we needed to leave as the restaurant would be reserved for the Halloween party, which had a separate charge per guest. I responded that it would have been courteous to inform us of this policy upon our arrival. I even offered to settle our current bill and pay the additional amount for the party entry. The waitress consulted the manager but later returned to inform us that all tables had been reserved and there were no seats available.As a result, we were asked to leave. The manager did not approach us to offer any explanation or apology, which I found very disappointing and unprofessional. We returned to our room and continued our evening there, as we had no other option. Later, when my nephew saw other guests entering the hotel, he asked where they were going, and they mentioned they were attending the Halloween party clearly contradicting what we had been told about in-house guests being the priority.The following day, during checkout, we were also charged PHP 1,000 for a small chocolate stain on a pillow, which I found excessive and unreasonable.Overall, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have had in Tacloban. The lack of proper communication, poor management, and absence of basic hospitality left a very negative impression. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking quality service and professionalism.

Staff was super friendly and helpful.

The room floor wasn't that clean and needed a good scrubbing. They tried to charge me a 1500 peso "per day" deposit. They kept saying it was their policy, but the booking says "one-time" 1500 peso deposit. So essentially, they tried to charge us 105,000 peso deposit for the seven days, and that is outrageous. Also, the hotel is called Ironwood, but the room has no iron unless requested. Invest in some irons for your international guests, please.

The room is nice but the bathroom is small. The location is also good since it’s in the downtown area.

Hospitality is really disappointing. Price is very expensive. It’s better to book with Summit Hotel. The staff was really cold. The food on breakfast buffet are obviously just canned goods and processed meats. There are fruits but the selection is very limited. The food at the restaurant is expensive.

I like the interior design. The bed was so comfy and the entire place was clean ❤️

Evrything else about our stay was good. The room was clean and comfortable and the food was delicious.. However, the air-conditioning was directed straight at my bed, so I had to stay covered with a blanket all night. My wife and daughter, who were in the other bed, were more comfortable since the AC wasn't blowing directly at them. My daughter was also sick at the time, so we couldn't turn off the AC completely, we had to keep it running for ventilation, even if it made me a bit uncomfortable.

The required security deposit of Php 1,500.00 felt a bit unnecessary, especially since many other hotels don't ask for one. While it wasn't a major issue for me, I personally didn't like it

No smart TV, limited channels or not HD

We stayed the nights around our wedding not expecting anything but the front end manager noticed and and had a really sweet message for us when we returned from our reception. It's very nice to see people who go the extra mile .thank you

We liked everything about our stay

This is the nicest hotel in Tacloban by far. Clean, modern comfortable rooms, excellent dining options, very friendly staff.

Food and cleanliness

Construction was happening on 2nd Floor during day time while I was trying to sleep.

I like the breakfast but I wish there's pancake.

I didn't like that the wifi is not working that I have to buy a load for my phone just so I could go online.

The location, friendly, professional, and exceptional staff. Rooms were clean, and comfortable. Nice restaurant and good food.

The temperature was too hot in the hallways and elevator. But I guess that is how it is in the Philippines.

Wifi was sketchy

Modern, safe and comfortable hotel. Staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. You are able to order an airport transfer with the reception, when we arrived back our luggage was already loaded in the van for us and accounted for. Such a nice service as Tacloban doesn't have a taxi service! . Restaurant on the top floor was really nice with a great Filipino, Thai menu. Lovely bar serving cocktails plus rooftop terrace. If you like cakes and coffee, the restaurant downstairs has awesome selection. Recommended stay if you want a quality hotel in downtown Tacloban

Close to downtown. Great staff and food.

Bedsheets has some stains. The AC is inconsistent. I am awoken in the early hours due to sweating cause the AC isn’t cold enough.
